I remember buying tickets on line for my husband and I, weeks later, we got a mail notification that the tour was postponed due to health issues, we learned later that he suddenly passed away. My ticket 🎫 is still pined on my message board in my home office. Rest In Peace John. ❤️🙏💪🇨🇦😭

Like many on here, I only recently discovered the talent that was John Pinette. I have been devouring every clip, etc, that I can find of his. I am so sorry I never got to see this amazing talent live ! Rest in Power John Pinette !
My son found John's, "I'm Starvin'" routine years ago after I worked a 12 hour hospital shift in the ER. . I laughed from beginning to end. He was genius. Imagine what he could have written if still here. What a talent. Enjoy heaven, John and make 'em laugh!!
He was the first and only famous person I ever cried for when he died. Still miss him to this day.

Hilarious without vulgarity! A rarity! What a wonderful man. So sad to have lost him and at such a young age. As a fellow Massahusettsite, I feel like I lost a friend. God must have needed a good laugh after watchin the mess we've made down here!
We were lucky enough to see him in Boston just before he passed away. You could tell something was wrong he just sat on a stool and did his act. I was blessed to see him in person.
Poor John, such a great comedian...he looks ill here, u can tell he's having health issues at this point but he tried to keep going...one of the best

I saw him at a convention in Atlanta Georgia, 1st comic I ever saw in person,he was so funny 😅, he made us cry! I still say when the occasion arises “ you go home now, big boy You been here 4 hour!! And “Free Willey” 😅 RIP John, you are missed!
I found him too late but the BBB, hiking and travel bits have me in stitches
I was so sad I first found him on RUclips and looked him up to see if he was doing any shows and found out he died 3 months prior to that day I looked him up
Same thing happened to me I was like "wow this guy is hilarious I wonder if he's doing tours" and then I found out he passed away and I was sad
Kind of the same boat, I knew of him way back when, but I just missed him in Miami shortly before he died. I was so stunned.

Apparently John passed away a couple years after this? He doesn't seem physically well here. I found it rather striking and a bit distracting. His stand up routines definitely improved as he got older. His earlier stuff is amusing, but his content and delivery sharpened was he got older -- which shouldn't surprise us, I suppose. I also appreciate that his later stuff seemed to pretty much do away with the foul language. I was surprised when I pulled up some of his 90s material and found him regularly lobbing f-bombs and other curse words -- I had discovered him from his stand ups later in his career when the crudeness was mostly absent. Automatic turnoff to me when a comedian feels the need to pepper his bits with needless profanity. He was funnier without it and I'm thankful he seemed to figure that out.
Please come back John. We need you

So Sad , it looked like his hands were shaking, and he was thinner in this video. One of the best!
His face looked much chubbier here too.
You can tell he's not in good health here. He sounds like he's having problems breathing & his face is a little puffy. It reminds me of John Ritter. Right before he died, his face was puffy from fluid retention. It's one of the signs when your heart & blood isn't circulating properly or working properly. Plus if you're obese, you tend to get Fatty Liver Disease.

I loved John's humor, but wonder if anyone else noticed that his voice sounded different, he was wearing glasses. Also his hand holding the microphone was shaking and he said or used a couple of expressions or bad words that have never been part of his routine's before...he was always known a a clean comic...
I'm not complaining; I just am thinking all the things I noticed might have been signs he wasn't feeling well and wonder if this was one of his last performances?
He was so wonderful it pains me to have seen these changes in him.
John swore a lot, mostly on his albums. He would modify the routine depending on the crowd.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that this guy is a comedian when he graduated college with a degree in accounting?
It's why he failed at accounting, he has a sense of humor.
He was an accountant and his coworkers and friends found him to be quite hilarious and they persuaded him to try stand up comedy so after about 6 months of his accounting career he did his first standup routine and from there he never looked back. Not only was he one of the best comediennes of his time he also had an extensive list of movie roles that proved he was not just a stand up guy. Hats off to you John may you rest in piece and prayers to his family and friends.
A famous comedian named Greg was a lawyer. (He died I believe in 2008). Rare but happens.

He lost much more then what you see in these videos, I think his last performance was on an LA Radio show I believe he died later that evening of a pulmonary embolism and was found dead in his hotel room.
I'm sure God made sure he has an air conditioner in his cottage up in heaven. RIP John!

He was definitely funnier back then as well.
I know about that bad wedding reception food, I was at one in Tuscarawas, Ohio back in 2003, that had one of the worst potato dishes I've ever seen, way undercooked, although the rest of the food was ok

I found John pinette accidentally. Much like Oliver Hardy you always knew his humor would be short-lived. How sad the human body and the human brain are never in agreement.
Unfortunately nowhere NEAR as funny as when he was over weight.
His health was failing here too, you can see.
The closer John got to going home the more came his way and he became angrier. The world has lost sight of GOD and itself, referencing mankind. GOD needs no explanation. R.I.P. brother John. ETTE people recognize our family members.
