as far as i know it's possible to make it on rom even without any compression, because i just changed only one channel in all of my remixes, so they could use other music data (drums, bass, backing) from originals
This is sick! I played Sonic 2 the most out of the classic Sonic games as a child, so this is nostalgic yet feels really fresh. Plus, this is way too underrated for what it is!
This would easily fit a Boss Rush Mode or a possible what if prequel intro to show how Eggman's theme would play w/ him Invading The Island to search the Chaos Emeralds *well before* Sonic & Tails later showed up on the scene to stop him.

This is what sonic CD should have been,bad future should have played an "egmanized" version of the zone. It will truly show that Eggman has ruined the future and that it's up to sonic to restore the peace of little planet.
That's because of we have some zone names in proto and others from various concepts and it's too difficult to choose which of them is right (Wood from proto or Secret Woods from concepts, Sand Shower from concepts or just Desert from artist interview, Tropical Plant or Tropical Sun from various concepts, etc)

Initially I wanted to make Green Hill 2P being Tropical Plant (or Sun), and Sky Chase as Winter (or Rock World) but we didn't exactly know how was right name. So easter eggs included only in Sonic 1 video

emerald hill is heaven to my ears. so is chemical plant. and aquatic ruin. casino night isnt too good, and hill top gets back to heaven. MYSTIC CAVE IS TRUE HEAVEN (and chemical plant.) Oil ocean is pretty good, but not heaven. Metropolis isnt really good either, but its decent. SKY CHASE IS TRUE HEAVEN. Wing fortress is.. idk. Death Egg is pretty good, but just like Oil Ocean, not heavenly.
they are already here S2 final version includes all of unused and scrapped zones music: - there is speculation about Emerald Hill 2P music was intended for Wood Zone because of Staff Roll music which produced some time around 21 Aug prototype and contains working Wood Zone (but actually Wood zone uses Metropolis music because of mistake or placeholder) - there is speculation about Sky Chase music intended for Winter zone because of christmas note pattern hidden on back of main melody - officially confirmed that Hidden Palace originally had Mystic Cave 2P music - semi-officially confirmed that Sand Shower or Desert Zone had Oil Ocean 1P theme and Oil Ocean had Casino Night 2P theme - Genocide City had Chemical Plant music in all of prototypes but there is speculation about Genocide City would had Death Egg music and Death Egg had Wing Fortress music So all of scrapped zones music is here. And just because they are have about three official names I did not make them as easter egg like in Sonic 1 Boss video
