HAHAHAHA!! I was thinking the same thing!!

Even I felt that
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😳😂😂😂
totally agree. Natale, what a arrogant bitch. Thats what happens if you get everything in life for free. Close the place down
I love how refreshingly honest the server was. She didn't sugar coat it 🤣
She is brilliant. Al should be training her to run the restaurant instead of his daughter. She would kick ass and do a great job
Great server too "I didn't hear you say sweet potato souffle" damn right sell it!
I had a server like that last night. My bf likes expresso martinis and there was a cherry rum version on. In ordering drinks, I suggested that one to him and she says:
"It's our christmas special - but it sucks, get the regular one" 🤣
We got the regular one and she got a big tip
@@maryholden3136 Yeah, problem is in almost all cases it is family, friends, relatives/etc over the others even if the others are far better qualified and will make far more money for the company...
Just like with being ghosted out of the blue in a relationship (Just happen to be AGAIN recently when things were going so well for months) the odds of them calling back to let you know if things are good or not, if you have the job or not just aren't good and your just left sitting or laying there wondering...
I think the problem of the restaurant is the very low IQ of the people working there. They're not very bright. You should hire intelligent people to work for you. The managers are also very low IQ. Low education.
The server honestly was giving me life! She was so honest it was amazing as she cared more about the restaurant than the daughter who’s supposed to be running the restaurant
I been on airplane one time
i still cant believe that there's a lot of incompetent owner out there.

UPDATE: Michones survived for another 3 years following Kitchen Nightmares and closed in 2015. The location now hosts an Ethiopian restuarant as of 2023.
Thanks for the update, i was scrolling for this comment😊
Any particular reason why it was shut down?
@@alyssaashford5218pretty sure Al’s health declined so they closed
Could never do a runner from an Ethiopian restaurant,
Good
Love the waitress
*looks straight at the cameraman* "have you seen the kitchen?"
😩😩☠️
Yeah what does that taste of : "nasty "
She seemed sweet and down to earth with a really lovely zap of wit and snark. Lots of confidence too, which I respect! ❤
This was literally the easiest restaurant to fix and she still fucked it up. The menu was good, the food was good... when it was fresh! All she had to do was cut her losses on the old stuff and start serving the fresh stuff made the same day and she'd have been alright. Maybe not on every dish but at least people would know the wings and brisket are good.
Welp, as Gorin said it's the mentality and system of the owner and the restaurant is the problem.
@@paulikzz17she’s lazy
Literally?
Yup bizzare or even take a break for a day to catch up on the old wings 😂 crazy easy!
@@CC-rm9uqif shes lazy she could have still took a day off from making eings for five minutes till they caught up to the point they were making em daily fresh.
“Girl they don’t fucked up all this man’s food” they need a waitress like that in every restaurant in America
They need a girl like that in every office of power! Congress, senare all the way down to town halls!!
"Oh, that was quick."
He KNOWS that means it's old food reheated.
OR if they're using the smokers properly it's from the batch just out of the smoker / from the warming tray of fresh wings.
i had to pause for a solid 10 minutes after he called the one guy a doughnut 😂
Just like that vegan teacher was
Call a vegan doughnut by Gordon 😅
No you didn’t
You new here, are ya?

None of you paused it for 10 minutes so stop lying

She was awesome!
That server lady was so cool she deserves her own show. 😂
The family accused her of trying to leverage KN for that.
Honestly I could have cried after seeing the quality of the ovens and what they could produce compared to the crap being served..
Me too. Currently using a single hob and a microwave but I still manage to make better food than these so-called professionals were charging money for. And I do manage to peel potatoes lol
Texas here and I thought the same thing.
In all these episodes, it shocks me the amount of staff they have. With the right staff the could run with half that many people.
It’s because they ask every staff member to come in that day so they meet Everyone and get their opinions. Not all of them work at the same time

My favorite lines. Gordon saying “bootleg”. And Todesha saying he never seen a black girl like her before 😭
So iconic is such a short span
Todesha is an absolute superstar, probably my all time favourite server on KN.
All the servers here are hilarious and awesome but Todesha is a badass. Shes awesome.
The idea to take the BBQ experts to see the smokers was absolute genius by Natalie.
Ngl that was a clutch move. But for $17,000 each they needa use the most out of those smokers 😂😂😂
@@KRS_two To be honest I don't care if it was scripted or not. It was well executed either way, and there's a lot to be learnt from that approach.
I told her to do that.
The good part is: Not scripted.
The bad part is: They closed in 2015 :(
@@IkeOnoniwu Learnt?
ffs
Michon's closed in August 2013 when Al's health continued to decline.
Reviews prior to the closure of the restaurant were mostly negative, highlighting poor service, a long wait and poor food, small portions and the restaurant running out of menu items.
That is super sad. I hope the owner didn't go too much into debt. Being sick isn't cheap, so the last thing you need, is a restaurant eating up your savings.
That sucks. Daughter shouldve done better and stepped up
@@kaitlynbennett4348 I feel like Al should be smart enough to see that maybe an outside manager would have been the better pick. Close family members many times don't fit in one's role as they are many times a complement and not a copy of oneself.
A shame in both ways. =/
Of course the leopard cannot change its spots.
Missing menu items I can get it, i don't know what it is with soul food and carribean restaurants and never having a full menu. My local had everything except Jerk Chicken today like wtf lol.
Poor Terrell, was clearly making a joke about the salad.
That was the funniest part 😂
haha, I think it was total panic, I'd panic if Gordon Ramsey was asking me to answer for it too! Love the guy but I'd be a a babbling idiot or a total smarta$$ in the moment LOL

Hush 😂😂😂
The first question I would have asked the daughter , If she wanted the restaurant in the first place, or did she feel obligated to take it on.
Gordon calling Todesha's hair "immaculate" 😂
I mean did they ever ask her if she wanted a restaurant? Like I'm not defending how lazy she is but like I cant blame her for not loving a restaurant she never wanted to begin with.
i was thinking the same thing
Heard but she did say she had the option to sell it and she didn’t want to
When the waitress said that’s rite your name is just on the building I couldn’t hold the laugh
When Gordon says "You fucking donut" you know you fucked up
Natalie really stepped up in the end. I was very impressed with how she took control and was creative in managing the delay of food. 👏🏾👏🏾

All that waste is insulting. People should be charged for wasting so much food. There are people out there hungry and animals died just to be thrown in the trash.
Agreed, i believe south korea charges people for food waste and i feel everywhere should implement the same thing
Edit* that extra food could feed so many people
I assume you mean the kitchen wasting food because if that was served to me I’d launch it back at them.
@@Deadlycats667only all u can eat places all over the world do that. If u buy the food u own the food they cant charge u for not eatng it. That's insane. The resteraunts may be charged for waste but then thats the same in usa. In France food waste is not allowed so resteraunts if they have fresh food ahve to donate it at the end of the day. I dunno what punishmentbthey get of if anyone checks. I left a job because of the amount fo waste and they refused to let me take it to the homeless shelter after work on my own time for no extra bother to anyone ..so I left. I could not stomach the waste.
It's been a problem since restaurants were a thing. I agree with Gabby, people should be charged for wasting food but. Really, let's say someone doesn't eat their food. The food in THIS restaurant microwaves all their food - meaning it's already been cooked. Just reheated.
I used to work at a restaurant. We cooked rice, stored it in the fridge, and reheated it in a steamer. Anything reheated in the steamer HAD to be thrown away if all of it wasn't eaten - because of serious food contamination if it was stored and reheated again.
Its a waste, yeah, but it's also a food hazard to eat food that's been reheated/refrigerated 2-4 times.
Plus you never what kinda germs people have. Forks in their mouths, pushing around all that food, seeing what's good. Their bacteria might give you food poisoning.
It's a safety thing.
Now if there's EXTRA food that's accidentally made in the kitchen, whether the quantities were off or whatever, I agree - that should be given to hungry people
welcome to american culture
This is one of my favourite episodes. Absolutely love Todesha, beautiful young woman - what a great personality. They were all really great characters. "Michon's" should have been a spin-off reality TV show. "I smokes the meats."

Natalie: Im not in denial, Im learning
Natalie: Chef Ramsey is not aware of the way we do things here
.... Did he not just dump 2,000 of your wings on the counter? While you have more still cooking?
Natalie's smoker showcase idea was brilliant. She wasn't all bad in the beginning, just a bit off hands, but definitely turned even better.
Todesha was hilarious. She should have narrated the whole episode lol
The look on his face when he heard about the cameras...😅😅😅😅
"She lazy" LOL
... maybe, don't buy a business with the intention of passing it to your child who might want to do something else with their life?
my thoughts exactly
I honestly love whenever it’s a family owned business Gordon usually tries to pull the family together too.
Madness how good equipment they have and still didn't made it at the end. Poor Al surrounded by bunch of hopeless people
"y'all wait in here and count the wings"
“You fuckin donut ofc you don’t heat a salad” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Time for the yearly kitchen nightmares addiction where I will binge it an unhealthy amount daily
I'll be here too for a month then it's dragons den or something else 😂
Ngl the stunt Natalie pulled by showing the BBQ customers her smokers to stall for time was pretty slick, I Def give her the props🙌
He actually complemented the sauce in the first item he got served, but the meat was bad. That proves that chef Gordon really taste the food, not just complain for tv.
Listen to his advice of you're lucky enough to get it!
What a shock they raised a princess and she don't want to pull her sleeves up and work. A lot of parents did it they are not alone but this is the effect of it.
Gordon Ramsay needs to start doing reaction videos to his passed kitchen nightmare videos
Great idea 👌
When he says you’re cooking the food to perfection in a $17,000 smoker and then reheating it in a $200 microwave, how does that make sense? If that question doesn’t break the plane of some thick skulls, then they are just beyond help.
This restaurant looks spectacular and they have brand new amazing equipment. I don’t know how that girl is just not getting involved.
Good to see her getting involved near the end
Gordon: puts all that old, gross chicken on the table to showcase them what they are doing.
the daughter: "Gordon doesnt know how we do things here"
Todesha is my spirit, i like her personality so much.
"2 miles from the airport and you've finally earned your wings!!!" 😅😅👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wow such a truly, truly humble and honest man Chef Ramsey is, telling the daughter not to be afraid to make mistakes, that HE has made THOUSANDS of them already!!!
I love how Gordon was surprised about his dishes coming together like damn, they cook that quick?! lmao
14:51 ramsey just called this dude donut 🍩 😂😂😂
Todesha was the absolute highlight of this episode. Refreshingly honest, down to earth, and pulled no punches at all. "The kitchen doesn't like to peel potatoes" , "have you seen the kitchen?" and the killer line for me "our food is nasty."🤣🤣🤣
7:55 "It is what it is". Could that be any more of a real statement for life.
When was this brisket cooked?
Saturday.
And todays Tuesday...
(OOOOOOFF. I felt that.)
An episode i’ve never seen?!? How??? Thank you life! I’ll inject it in my veins right away!
Passing devils advocate..... what if her apathy stemss from the fact that her parents gave her a legacy, that may bey isn't her passion? That being said still absolutely does not take away from, nor excuse, her responsibility to do her JOB and step up. Also at the end of the day, if she truly didn't want this responsibility, then she should have had that conversation with her parents long before it got to this point. Last but not least her parents seem like genuine people and she seems like a spoiled only child. I think that it was a narcissistic "oh my child is princess and can't do anything wrong" attitude from the parents, but more holy shit we finally were able to be the parents we wanted to be and she's the only one we could have., mentality
I actually agree with this. I don't think people realize the sheer work it takes to lead a team. I would know, because I run a small practice myself. It's grueling; you have to be involved in all stations all the time, as well as handle many responsibilities no one does. The moment you decide to let your guard down and be just a little lazy, your employees catch on FAST and follow suit.
It took me years to decide I wanted to take on the responsibility of business ownership. Because of that, I seriously doubt I could hand that responsibility to someone like family and expect them to have the same drive I do. Especially if they are paid a manager's salary and have zero ownership of the company.
People generally do not rise to an occasion under stress.
We fall back on our level of training; & perform there.
The guy thinking about a raise when he’s part of that system 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gordon & the waitress could have some fun, sassy babies 😂😂
Gordon Ramsay's side job as a therapist
I don't get parents opening restaurants so their kids could take over. what is they don't want to have a restaurants, or, you know, they are horrible at it?
In my country "I bought a restaurant from my son/daughter" is basically a code for "I'm laundering money"
when servers' question is "is it ok?" instead of "do you like it?" it tells you something is wrong there
RIP Al he sadly passed away in 2018
Aw
Todesha is hands down my favorite person in all of Kitchen Nightmares, including the UK version as well. Her dead pan delivery and BRUTAL honestly is fucking fantastic. I love her 😂😂
chef Gordon was hella into Todesha, she sassy as hell
Crazy, here in Texas, if you go to a black-owned BBQ place, you’re in for some of the best BBQ you’ve ever had.
Funniest part is they had the good food smoking in the back and even Ramsey thought it tasted good like ffs
"this place should be called winging it" 😂😂😂
Bruhhhh when Ramsey punched his hand and said it’s heading for disaster it sounded super loud to funny lolz
Those were not black eyed peas, they are baked beans. Unless things have changed dramatically since I lived in Georgia in the late 60s, blacked eyed peas are called that because they are a light beige bean with a black heart. If you look them up, they still are.
things canged
Her parents should be very proud of her! What a great job!
Good old Chef Mike at full work again
They don't like to peel potatoes 😅😂 that's crazy 🤣🤣
The best thing is the server she is giving me life and I love her honesty so much 🤣 she deserves her own comedy show
The fact that they have literal smoked briskets, wings, and different meats ready and instead of serving them to order they repack them and microwave it. Like are you serious!?!?!?! Such a simple mistake that can literally be solved in mere seconds. Unbelievable that they would do that.
Todesha was hilarious! She made this episode good
Todesha def is the main character
Really cool episode, teared up a bit from the progression of Michon.
It actually closed down lol and received many negative reviews afterwards
Ah, the infamous microwaved sallad episode
Didn’t surprise me one bit to see Michons is PERMANENTLY CLOSED😂
"Kent Weed" "smoke house" intro got me hyped up
Natalie don't wanna run it thought. She just wants to be lazy and chill. Fire her and hire and actual manager
Sounds like daughter has been used to being the Fresh Princess of Bellair…. She doesn’t want to step up to the plate BUT then she has not been shown how to run a restaurant by her parents nor has she been expected to get stuck in and get WORKING! It wouldn’t surprise me if their restaurant that burned down a number of years later was arson. This lady just wants everything handed to her on a plate for the rest of her life. Such a pity as this business was amazing and had so much going for it. Loads of great staff, all the best equipment, a lovely set up for the customers… a dream opportunity for someone willing to put in a bit of work, LEAD, and be open to LEARN a little.
The waiter be talking how it is😭💀
My favourite part of these episodes is when Gordon says “hmm… dreadful.” Haahahaha
The blunt waitress is definitely high asl
The start, the smoked chicken wing? Looked succulent. Yum!!
Yeah i'm not having that was dry at all lol
Gordon to Natalie.." have you ever worked in another restaurant before?"
Natalie.." no never " " just cause Gordon doesn't like it doesn't mean it's wrong, he doesn't understand the way we do things !
Yes Natalie, he doesn't understand THAT'S the point,he's a world class Michelin stared chef who's been in the industry all his life and knows how kitchens work. You've never worked in a restaurant before and are just making it up as you go along. Yet you think you're right even though you've never done it before and you think you know better than Gordon 😂 😂
The arrogance of some of these owners is staggering, it may be different if she had 20 years experience and could then say ,this is how I've always seen it done etc but for a rookie to argue with one of the best in the world is just a joke
