“I’m just going to ramble incoherently for the next 15 minutes or so” 😂😂😂 I have never hit the subscribe button SO FAST ❤️
I sincerely hope that I provide enough incoherent rambling in future videos LOL!
You are an amazing young women and I've been watching your videos for along time. What a breath of fresh air you are! To find somebody that is very intelligent and funnier than scrap is not an easy task, especially these days. I'm 61 years old and I learn something new everytime from you. Thank you so very much for taking the time to make these videos for all of us and keep up the great work. Don't ever worry about rambling because it's a hoot and a language I'm very familiar with. Meaning I do it all the time as you can see by my comment😉
Your "rambling" as you call it was clear as a bell to me and made perfect sense and cleared up a lot of my questions. Excellent video, thank you so much!
(Starsundance) This is incredibly helpful. I've been doing the bag thing for a couple of years now and still get confused about interfacing/stabilizers sometimes. Thanks for the refresh. I'll be saving this one and likely referring to it multiple times in the future. Blessed be the package, K!
I would love to see a tour of your sewing space!
"My personality, or whats left of it" 🤣🤣
Seriously. I am not sure what's worse, my wallet from tacking on new hobbies during the panini, or my personality.
So helpful! Love your videos!
Thank you! I love your wisdom and humor!
Thanks so much for the wonderful clarification and explanations!
Love your videos, always helpful and hilarious, thanks for all you do.
Thank you! Appreciate the practical tips. Nice to have reasonable guidelines :)
I really needed this !! Thank you :)
Your analogies are hysterical!
Just found your channel and I absolutely love you! Been binge watching. You’re so bomb!
So glad you made this! I’ve been wondering some of these very issues!
Will definitely see you on twitch …next year.
Happy New Year!
Thank you so much great information. You are a hoot I could listen to you for hours.
O my gosh! Where was this 2 weeks ago when I went on a cutting spree trying out new patterns and new fabrics?🤦♀️ love this!
The examples are so helpful!
Very informative and helpful. Thanks
I always learn so much from you and I especially like your sense of humor.
Love your videos! This was very helpful. I enjoy seeing you walk through your decision process (and the humor definitely adds to it).
i love your videos. You are fun & informative. Thanks.
Very helpful! I can’t get enough of bag interfacing talk, ideas, recs, etc. Thank you.
Love your explanations. thanks so much.
Thank you for this information.
Very helpful!! Thank you!
I so desperately need this information 🥰
I'm afraid I kind of rambled all over the place. Let me know if you have any questions on the content and I'll clarify in comments!!!
I am at a point in bag making that the interfacings, etc. confuse me. However, as you speak I can apply your information to the bags I have made and realize where I went wrong, and this surely will help with the bag I am now making! I obtain so much information from all your videos and you are also funny and cheerful besides informative! I refer back to many of your vides to refresh what I need to know. Thank you for sharing so much information and helping others!
I'm so glad it's helpful!
Your explanations make a lot of sense. I've watched your interfacing video several times. it helps that you show the bag either flopped over or standing straight. I recently started putting fusible interfacing in my zippered pouches. What a difference! Thank you for your information and humor. Happy New Year from Oregon.
You are so fun to watch and so real! Love it!
Thank you :) My earlier YT videos were really stiff. I didn't let my personality come out. I've been slowly breaking away at that shell the past two years and it's paying off!
Thank you for sharing, very helpful. You’re hilarious
Thank you!
You are hilarious. Love your videos!
Well done, informative and entertaining. My pleasure to like and subscribe!
Thank you! 😊
Love you videos. Like to know more about interfacing and woven vers non woven. Really enjoy your personally and frankness. Peace... . Oh zipper stuff... .
Thank you!!
Amazing!
You make me want to start to sew again. Thank you for the all the education. interfacing is such a mystery to me.
It was to me as well when I first started out making bags. I didn't really embrace interfacing until my second wind after the kids were somewhat grown and I could have a sewing space again.
Thank you! I got my first bit of vinyl and waterproof canvas while in Orlando yesterday and was wondering what to use as interfacing. I am feeling less nervous about cutting fabric now. (RestlessRed)
Educational AND entertaining = YOU. Also HILARIOUS! :-)
😂 a 2yo in a snowy area that just goes like “this.” Check. Got one of those. I get ya!
Such a great video!! I want to make a tote about 12x13 with vinyl and lined with WRC or WPC. The vinyl I REALLY want to use is that with the fleece type backing. Would I use the woven on first then decovil light? or maybe 2 layers of woven depending on how it stiffens?? Any help appreciated.
Can you do an updated version of this? :D
Would it be possible to get a video or picture showing how you use the foam interfacing with the woven fusible interfacing? I'm a very visual person and have a hard time picturing what you mean. 🤔
HI! Love this video. I'm pretty new to bag making. I'm a quilter and have recently gone in the bag making rabbit howl! Love your channel. I was wondering where you get your foam? Do you recommend a name brand? Thank you for all your tutorials. (By the way. I'm on my husband's computer so his name shows up. But I'm Victoria😉).
I just use Pellon Flexfoam and buy it from Joanns when it's on sale!
Btw, I love what's left of your personality 😁
I wish there was a pdf on interfacings
Can you do a video on cutting pieces? I’m so bad at cutting it’s never perfect how I want it to be and I been making bags for a few months now
Ooooh yeah! So, one of the biggest helpers for me is acrylic templates. I just trace them, then cut out along the lines I traced. I use a gel pen. Anything I mark will get cut off in the seam allowance anyway.
A cheaper alternative to acrylic templates, which can get expensive, is to laminate your pattern pages before you cut them out. It makes them MUCH easier to trace around. Double so if you print on cardstock. Also print doubles of any cut-on-fold pieces and tape together as the full piece. So much easier for thicker fabrics like vinyl
So if the vinyl has a fleece back it can be prone to ripping...why does adding fleece to other fabrics not make them prone to ripping? Or is it not the fleeciness that makes it rippable? Are fleece backed vinyls just less sturdy?
I have a question regarding saggy linings. I have watched your video and understand and I have applied to my bags. If I make two separate bags to finish by sewing at the top, would I still cut the separate lining smaller that the outer part of the bag and by how much? Is a quarter of an inch too much? Thank you.
A quarter inch should be fine!
So, to make small bags and round bags or a medium to large bags using leather or pendleton type materials, what type of interface do I use for these bags? Also using the same materials, how do you keep them clean..dry clean or wash it and air dry?
If it needs to hold its shape, go with foam. I can't speak much to leather as I don't have the guts to sew it. I mostly sew vinyls and will fuse Decovil Light to it in place of foam.
Thank you

Rock it....
Random question...is that a Star Wars tattoo on your wrist? My friend pointed it out to me and now we're curious 😅
Yeeeees ma'am! It's X-Wing vs Tie Fighter :)
I wish I had listen to myself when I saw everyone going out and buying all the decovil light lol now it’s stupid expensive, I blame Jess Oklaroots lol jk Thanks for the tips
Have y'all tried Serial Bagmakers? She's in Europe, but her shipping costs aren't too bad.
Love your videos🥰 I have a question about decovil. How do you apply decovil on non-ironable fabrics?
