Absolutely unacceptable for a blockbuster with a $200+ million budget to produce a disk and not produce an emersively active Atmos and heavy bass during explosions. Shame on Universal
Will you ever include in the future that the movies include hdr, hdr10+, or dolby vision in the tech specs section? Just wondering. I have the sony 4k player and have to toggle the dolby vision on/off
@@alan-sleep if you leave it on, everything including sdr displays in dolby vision. Its actually looks kind of ok, but seems off. Way overbright in scenes.
I got the regular version on 4K for F9 the fast saga and I got the FF movies from 1-8 box set on 4K too and I’m a huge fan of this franchise too and can’t wait for Fast X next year in May 19, 2023 and can’t wait for that one to come out
Saw it at a Dolby Cinema, the picture looked good but the Atmos was kind of disappointing. I didn't hear that much bass and the sound from the height channels weren't that active. Of the all the Fast and Furious films that came out on 4K, I still think Fast Five looks and sounds the best.
Omg u was totally gonna throw on another disk as well to make sure my system was performing properly! Yes.. I know my system is great now. I did find that the magnets has some good bass Humm. Other than that. It was decent
That sucks that they went with Dolby Atmos over DTS-X would have been nice if they included both for each person that likes that particular format. I've recently watched The Fate of the Furious and discovered that it was DTS-X and was originally disappointed but listening to the boombastic sound coming from all of my speakers I was not disappointed for long. I never seen any softness with the picture quality during the movie. I watched the movie on my 65" LG C9 with my PlayStation 5.
I always found DTS-X to hit the bass harder than Atmos tracks. Just like DTS-HD MA vs Dolby TrueHD. I believe the bitrate is limited for all Dolby tracks compared to DTS. Theres not many DTS-X soundtracks compared to Atmos but in my view they have a fuller sound but not as much surround and height range compared to Atmos
@@tomwells8093 We should see more streaming services support DTS-X/IMAX ENHANCED in the future now that earc and HDMI 2.1 can handle their bandwidth requirements. One of the main reasons Dolby Atmos is everywhere is because they allowed compression and DTS-X didn't
That channel is occasionally flagged as being misleading in the community. Delivery of content is not up to the quality of other. Where is the actual analysis? Where does he talk about audio quality besides it being ‘very good’?
I'm a Fast fan....but I felt this one quite underwhelming......action was back to CGI, Vin Diesel taking out concrete beams, Car to space, and a lame explanation for Han's return..... I was really happy Justin Lin was returning to the series after F&F6...but this movie to me felt odd and muted... I really wished they atleast write John Cena's character better....This movie deserved a better treatment.. So for me, it was a missed opportunity. It's just my opinion. I hope F10 & 11 will be good.....

could you just leave it to always on? I've never had such player, so I'm curious what happens if a film doesn't have dolby and you still enable it
This would be a good edition to the reviews.

Shane is such a seasoned pro in front of the camera. Smooth and efficient. Excellent as always
Shane and brass tax are the best
He’s reading from an autocue/ notes just out of shot but yes, he’s made so many videos.
I would give him an A+ except he cut and paste his intro in every single of his review. I feel cheated. 😂
Saw the Stiller frame. Beauty.
Thank you for doing what you do best. Audio alone then video alone. I enjoy the reviews this way
Dude just wait when you hear and see Dune in dolby vision and atoms, its absolutely brutal
3:50 makes me wonder when Tropic Thunder is going to get a 4k and atmos transfer. That would be an amazing experience.

Gotta love the shame frame! I just did that in one of my videos as well. Hilarious!
Do you think Malignant will be released on 4K or on Blu-ray only?
Blu-ray only and 4k probably only on digital until they decide to release it on 4k
New camera?

Lmao Simple Jack!! 😂
Simple Jack! Hahaha
Hwy Shane,, are you gonna review The Shawshank Redemption when that comes out on 4K Blu Ray?
Not the simple jack reference 🤣

You snuck in some simple Jack 😂
This movie hardly had any LFE when it came to actions/explosions. Then the music portions would kick in with a ton of bass. Makes no sense.

Nice can't wait to re watch the whole series
What a bummer, I saw in auromax and the height channels were active with strong sub
The Thing 4K review?
Definitely buying this Spectacular action packed mayhem thrill ride on 4k Director's Cut on the 21st 📽📽🍿🍿
Thanks for the video review information
I saw this both in IMAX with laser and Dolby cinema and the bass was lacking tremendously
Also the overhead effects in the Dolby Cinema were scarce
They should have left it DTS-X

Excuse me sir, could you spare some change?
Where the hell is the slipcover for the 4K case
Films at home is a better Channel for 4k reviews

Zsjl steelbook review please
Shane doesn’t compare 4K with sex like brass tax does tho
for the movie ill give it an excellent 0/10
Ok soooo bad wasn't F9 at all just don't listen to film critics and enjoy
Yeah man fuck the critic's these movies are for fun

@@chrissexton4129 oh ok
Waiting for this one. All f&f 4k were rubbish. I still think f&f 4k HDR is sucks.
