I want a translation to the lyrics
Here it is 😉
"And now to anger -
To rage, to battle, to their death!
Raise your voices, o brave men,
In the hymn of battle!
To battle! to battle! In the forest of Gaul
Brave warriors outnumber the trees.
As hungry wolves fall upon the flock,
We shall strike at the soldiers of Rome.
Blood! Blood! The Gallic axes
Are bathed in the blood of the Roman...
[...]
And God will come on the rays of the sun
To behold the triumph of his men."
@@KISKISkeepitshort FINALLY! Without English, it's hard to know what those animals and fish are singing, lol!
@@KISKISkeepitshort Holy balls man that's...
WAAY worse than I thought!
I love it :D
Not going to lie glad they replied to you with the lyrics I was so wrapped up in the melodies I'd didnt even hear it was another language I rewatched and cudnt actually pick words out more then likely it was because it was not in English but at the samn time I cant really separate words from the instruments
@@KISKISkeepitshort Those bastards! I knew there were up to something. That's why I hate the swamp. Too many warmongering fanatical critters in there!
Now I understand why squirrels look at me with suspicion.
@@MuantanamoMobile I literally clicked here to make this exact same comment.
@@MuantanamoMobile OMG ROFLMAO My friends in Canada love Rick and Morty.
I know something's going on with the squirrels. I've lived in my house for years and this is the first year they have ever tore up the cushions on my patio furniture. They made nests on both sides of my house they used to only make nests in the trees in the back yard. Everyone in the neighborhood have complained that the squirrels have eaten the jack-o'-lanterns and decorative pumpkins this year and they usely don't bother them. That's so strange they are doing all of that.
@Little Blue They've even sat in the tree looking at me and making a little barking noise while flicking their tail. I feel like they are saying something bad to me but maybe they are thanking me for all the acorns I bring them. LOL
So when in the music it reads F sharp, just don't play a plain G. The suspicion will then go away.
hahahaha lol. Good observation 🤣
Every other animal: Amazing opera singers
The fishes: *glorghgolgo*
😂😂
The fishes 😁😁
@ me, I'm the fish.
🤣
Hahahaha I can't stop watching this ... have been watching it for several days now, and I still crack up as soon as the fish go "glorghgolgo"
Made me cry. Small animals, defenceless to the ruthless extractivsm that wipes out their existence, singing about war deep in the woods. A minute of music where no one can hear.
This looks like the teaser trailer for one of the coolest films of the year.
That really might make it big in the box office. And the catchy title is simplicity itself -- Animal Opera
@@Robert_Douglass I know right?
Yes! I think you are sure! Very cute video!
Wow - as the old Warner Bros cartoons introduced kids to opera! Stupendous job!
Better than CATS
When a short film is TOO SHORT!
I feel you bro.
@@amritaparida3992 Totally agree!
WAY too short ... needs to be at least 5 minutes ;)
When a short film is ACTUALLY JUST A NON FILM VIDEO!
CGI takes time to render
Animals do this all the time. They just pretend they dont know how to music when humans are around.
That or they're like the frog from Looney Tunes.
Amen
just like gnomes 😝😝
Yes!!! :D
Pfft well of course. Who hasn't seen the little mermaid?
A small but shiny light in the dark of creativity of this decade
If this studio animated the whole opera, I'd absolutely pay like $30 to see that in theaters
Well first you have too see the original Norma
I would 100% watch a full-length theatrical version of an forest animal opera.
Definitely!
Well, waiting for that you have the original Bellini's Norma! ;)
...And pay the tickets in full too!
You can watch the animated adaption of The Cunning Little Vixen right on youtubs. Does that count?
imagine this cgi mixed with the whole idea of " Butterfly ball"
wow this is better CGI than most movies in Hollywood.
did you mean lion king and jungle book remakes? lol
@@denizkendirci didn't see those but based on trailers wasn't really impressed.
To be fair, this a short that barely lasts two minutes, as opposed to an hour and a half movie. Therefore, you have more time and require less money and people to make it. Nothing to take away from whoever made this, of course. But its like comparing an article in a magazine to a novel of over 300 pages, and declaring its pretty much the same.
I disagree. There are still good CGI movies out there. The How To Train Your Dragon trilogy is amazing, for example. Money CAN ‘buy’ more creativity. More resources can greatly increase the quality of a product because it allows you to do more. It can gain you more animators or at least better ways to animate something. Why do you think so many indepedent animators often rely on donations from fans on Patreon? Like it or not, money is often needed to make a good product. A short film requires less money, less people and less time to work on. A budget that can result in a gorgeous two minute short like this simply won’t do for a full-lenght movie.
Ain't that the truth!
I just love how the squirrel stares at the Blue-Jay and goes deep into thinking... "We shall play tonight!"
Not really a Blue jay but A Bird nonetheles
The bird looked more like an Eastern Bluebird.
😆😆😆
It's a robin redbreast, you hear him singing at the beginning
I'm 50 years old and this is best thing I have ever seen. Standing ovations!! 👏👏👏
This is just beautiful. I love the squirrel conductor and the marching hedgehogs. Magical.
Flashmob, animal style...love how they just all quietly disperse at the end.
I just want to take a moment to shout out the audio-mixing on this short! This isn't just CGI animals mouth-flapping to an opera track, you can hear how each section of the choir is boosted based on which animals are on-screen. This is especially apparent when the turtles lift their heads into frame and their voices become louder!
И все же это гениально. Жаль только, что так мало. Это стоит целого концерта. На такую оперу я бы точно сходил.
Teacher: leaves the class for 0.001 sec
Everyone:
That would be funny if it was a really terrible class of singers and then they sing like this behind the teachers back.
LOL As a teacher, I can dig this...
Can I just mention the astounding attention to detail of the animals’ mannerisms? The bird at the beginning was amazing, with each breath you can see the feathers ruffling ever so slightly
I'll never be able to keep my attention on a real opera ever again, I'll be seeing animals everywhere!

As a retired music teacher and animal/wildlife aficionado, I absolutely LOVE this!!!!
The rendering of different textures and the effect on the colors by the moonlight is truly masterful. Bravo!! (Throws roses)🌹🌹🌹
The way all the animals just leave ate the end reminds me of a good flash mob.
Exactly. Peeps understandably want more, but this length was perfect. Leaves you full of wonder.
Those woodland critters are quite ready to kill Romans.

Love it! Funny too. The animation on the bird is phenomenal and perfectly dramatic. Also love the quick jump by the squirrel at the end. Very realistic looking.
I particularly like the bird's dramatic wing gestures, and how grizzled Maestro Squirrel looks in closeup.
This is got to be the most random thing I've ever seen. I love it
Хором дирижируют просто лапками, без палочки. А мультик - просто супер!
This is genius. Love Norma as an irate bluebird... and the squirrel Maestro is awesome. Can we have the whole opera??
I think this less than 2:00 one was difficult enough to produce, but I feel like you - I adore opera and animals not necessarily in that order. This was fabulous. 🐿️🐸🎵💔🥰🎼
YES PLEASE! lol
You realize this is a very late Joan Sutherland
My friend and I witnessed the whole opera one night back in the sixties. ✌😁🕶
It's like the motifs of Soviet cartoons. See the cartoons of the USSR. Enter "грибок - теремок" and look at it.
Who's to say this doesn't really happen? Think about much human music is an imitation of animal voices and songs. I think Mother Nature is due some royalties, y'all.
Fact that mice sing.

WOW. Just BRILLIANT. I lose it every time Dame Joan flies by at the end and you hear her sing as she gets up close!!!!

That squirrel should win an oscar for this
This was the greatest 1:50 seconds I've ever wasted on.
The only problem with this is that it ends entirely too soon! This was marvelously delightful (or vice versa)!
I like to think that Vincenzo Bellini would be proud😀
1 minute 40 seconds of pure unbridled genius.
Why has RUclips suggested me this, and why hasn't it suggested it before?
To answer your first question ..... I believe You Tube suggested it to you in part because it is just random but it can also be based on what videos you normally watch on You Tube. And to answer your second question .... that is because it just came out on October 11, of this year. I hope this helps (smile) 😀
That's why I often hear songs when I walk through the forest. I thought I was imagining
One work of genius ("Norma") inspired the creation of another work of genius ("Maestro"). Double bravissimo!!
This never gets old 😂 I probably watched it more than 100 times !
Now this is the way to introduce children to Opera and classical
And adults dear.
This should certainly be introduced to Pre-K! Then again during Music Appreciation or Introduction to Music classes. We do not appreciate the musical and communicative advantages and abilities or the levels at which these exchanges are simultaneously taking place! Children are akin to sponges, soaking up information at lightning speed.
Almost as effective as Bugs Bunny.
Sue Belzer and Tom and Jerry!

I'm Italian and I loved seeing an animation with Italian opera singers!
This is one of the best videos I've seen this year. The only thing missing was the voice of Mario Lanza.
RUclips may be on its way out, but boy howdy what gems I'm finding in its last moments.
It is dying. But the memories we have. Censorship killed YT for me about a year ago. I'm still a subscriber but not sure how much longer. Farwell freedom if speech... I'm so sorry to have let you down.
I like how the moment they're done singing they just wander off like normal animals; typical flash mob.

My cat absolutely enjoyed this. She was sitting next to me cleaning herself when I started watching it and when I peeked at her cause she stopped cleaning I saw that she was watching it intently. So I set the tablet sideways made the picture bigger faced it so she could view it better and played it again and she watched it.
