Hi There, thank you for putting this together, super useful!! I was wondering if you had a place to download the presets for the individual plugins rather than the in the studio rack format. Waves has not updated studio rack to work on Apple Silicon M1 computers, which I am using. Unfortunately, I downloaded the presets from this link, and my computer doesn't know what to do with them. Do you have settings for ADT, the REDD, the Saturator, the J37, etc that can be downloaded individually?
GREAT! The best version made so far in the music industry! You have proven that with execution you can do anything in the audio field! Lessons for plugin brands or sound cards etc ... Greetings from Romania P.S. I invite Paul McCartney to congratulate you in public!
Wow this was an AMAZING video. Well done….Im mixing a Motown record right now so not being afraid to see all the saturation stack up is relieving! Well done.
Amazing use of the Daw, so much processing, huge session and yet sounds so natural and minimal ! I record on a 4 track/daw using a lot of the old school techniques you applied here. Loved the Cover. Thank you 😊
@@farosonico for sure! I filmed a video (on my channel) of my work flow recording a song with the 4 track and prosessing in the box, then printing it on the tape. Check it out if you get some time, it's great to find a musician/producer who understands that sound. Cheers!
incredible job; and your English is great man! incredibly insightful to see how you mimicked what they did. i wish you'd be willing to release the music-only as a karaoke wav file! or maybe even the Pro Tools files ;-) ok, i'm getting crazy now... thanks for the killer vid!!
well first i made it all the way trough! your mix is brilliant.. Second your English is fine! I really enjoyed seeing how you use the plugins.. defiantly going use some of your techniques in my mixes in differing places.. I love the mastering chain too, just like you .. J
This is great man. really good work. i use ABBEY ROAD plugins for most of my recordings & other peoples sessions. there the best for me. great experiment
Cuando vi el cover dije wow vaya pedazo de pieza maestra, pero cuando vi este vídeo con todo lo que llevo consigo estoy completamente segura que realmente fue una obra de arte, muy muy bien ❤️
What microphone and preamp are you using for the vocals and piano? (It looks like a U87 or U67) How did you record the vocals so close to the mic without build up in the low end/sibilance? Fantastic recreation! A+++
Wish i had a Neumann! For the piano i used a Lewitt LCT 140 and a Rode M3. For vocals y usually use other microphones but for this i used a Studio Projects B1 thru a DBX376 preamp. I like a lot to sing close to the microphone and use the foam cover instead of a pop filter. The capsule is a little off axis to avoid sibilance and for the low end i use the cut switch at 70 hz
That was really cool. I'm wondering if Waves had released the RS124 and Puigchild at that stage? That would have been cool if you'd used them instead of the 1176 and Saturator. But it still sounds fantastic.
Great job!! Thank you for being so calm and informative - a pleasant relief from some of these types of videos...;-) Focusing on the subject in hand, and not a statement of ," Look how cool I am..!" And in doing that, IMHO, shows how cool you actually are..;-) Beer's on me, should we ever meet.. PAX
Hey FaroSónico, that was utterly brilliant. Your attention to detail was incredible here. Bravo! How do I find your SoundRack presets? I don't see them at the Waves site? Or did I misunderstand?
i took a very simplistic approach, based on photos of Ringo recording and online info about their gear. I used a kickdrum microphone (Lewitt 340 rex) an overhead (AKG D190) an SM57 under snare and a Low tom microphone (AKG D222) The floor tom was tuned really low, to emulate the sound of timpani. How i mixed them, is in the video.
I think the Fairchild should be part of the Abbey Road Collection. I used the 76 cuz its the one i have. I do have a Fairchild style plugin, but its not Waves', so i left It out.
Good day! I downloaded the preset you had boy it's great! I just have one issue though, it's about the delay on the john lennon's preset. In this video, the feedback and delay was very good and well suited. However in my song, it kinda feels weird and sounds more like a microphone or something - it doesn't give off that john lennon mellow voice vibe. Can you help me out? Btw thank you so much for such informative video!
This isn't too long at all, I wish there were more of these! Awesome job! Would you give a go at any song from the White Album? Curious to see how else you would use the TG12345. Great performance, great video, keep it up!
This is absolutely brilliant. I just upgraded my WAVES plug-in collection to include this full bundle. I must confess that I am confused by the pre-sets, which I downloaded. How do I know which preset goes to which plug-in? Or can I just put them all in the effects rack plug-in...? I don't quite get this part and instructions on the internet are confusing. Many thanks for any guidance you may provide.
@@farosonico fantastic! George Martin is my hero, and now you are another. What an amazing forensic analysis of this work you have done.
