Who was it tragic for? Certainly not for that baby. Why on earth would you see this situation as a tragedy is beyond my understanding.
That child’s mother didn’t care for him at all. He was born an addict to two addicts what life do you presume that child would have? How was it cut short? The creator loved that child more than the two deprived individuals. So He took him back to him. How that is a tragedy is mind blowing.
I wish God did that more often because most people should not have such precious lives to be responsible for.

Heartbreaking! We lost my husbands only child September 4, 2022. She was like one of my own. She took something that was laced with fentany! & what makes this that much harder is my husbands nephew same age as his daughter is the one who gave her the substance she took. Having no idea it was laced w/ fentanyl! They were close like brother & sister & no family should ever have to feel so divided over losing a family memeber. Everyone in this family seems to be ashamed of the cause of death. Like they want to protect her reputation so no one is talking about it. I desperately want to spread awareness. Not allow her death to be in vain. I want her death to have purpose & be meaningful. So that maybe by telling her story it could save atleast one person her death will not have been for nothing.
Payton Alyssa James baby girl we love you so much & miss u so bad. Keep watching over your daddy. He's so lost without u!He's not the same man he use to be. So come visit him in his dreams. ❤ love you baby girl

You & your husband have suffered the most devastating losses of all… your only child❣️ I’m sure your husband’s nephew was wracked with both guilt & great sorrow, although he had no ill intent, the guilt must have been immense. I’m sorry the family was divided, that only added to the sad & difficult time you were already dealing with. There is no shame in this situation…your daughter had no clue that fentanyl was in that pill she took. The nephew certainly meant no harm whatsoever & I hope he’s found peace & has forgiven himself. Losing a child is the most devastating & difficult road any parents can ever travel . I lost my only child to pancreatic cancer & I wouldn’t ever wish this pain on anyone. I completely agree. My goodness this child has been through hell. Sounds like he is surrounded by addicts and/or former addicts. I hope he , and his siblings, can live a clean healthy life because considering what they’ve already been through and the family having a strong history of addiction they have some odds against them.
Regarding his father, I was shocked to hear he was on crack before he was 17 and had two kids to boot. Just so sad. SMH. I’m sure his mom being an addict didn’t help but I do wonder if he may have had a mental disorder like bipolar or ADHD which caused him to self medicate. To only be 32 when he died, he’d lived a very hard life. Again, I hope little Nick and his siblings are able to grow in to healthy adults and live drug free lives. It’s just so sad what’s happened to them.

I don't abuse the meds like I did Booze & Opiates so I do have control so to speak , but I am dependent , just like a diabetic is to their meds . There are a lot of mental healthcare facilities in every State in the USA and most provide excellent services. However, it is often very difficult to get people who have addictions to access those services and even when they do, often they continue to use drugs. They just add the prescribed psychiatric drugs to the mix that they are taking.
A lot of people enter rehab facilities because they recognise that their bodies are breaking down from the drug use and the lifestyle they are living. They get better, start feeling healthy and good, leave the rehab facility and the first place they go, is to their plug.
It’s disheartening for the people who work in the healthcare field and it’s very upsetting because all the treatment costs a lot of money and depletes the resources for other people who need mental healthcare.
You can take a horse to water, but you cannot make them drink.

Please have comfort knowing that Nick is in heaven and he is your guardian angel now.
I believe that with all my heart. When I was 15
I witnessed my aunt take her last breath. My aunt Joan had breast cancer and we were all gathered around her and when she passed there was this white mist that came up from her shoulders traveled down her body and from her feet the mist rose up to the ceiling and dissapeared. Everyone in that room also witnessed it. So believe me when I tell you that your awesome son will always be with you! 😇

These teens are BOLD! They don’t even try to hide it, and when confronted claim it helps their “anxiety” that they’ve never even been diagnosed with. It’s really scary and sad.
