Do I know anything about bass fishing? no. Do I watch these videos religiously? yes.
Same, lol
My people!
It has honestly made me curious to give it a try.
@@86jschollgo for it’s awesome
Same 😂😂😂😂
I've recommended this channel to so many of my f&f. One suggestion...a bat house. Excellent for insect control. I love.watching it grow.
They work SO well!
Wouldn’t you want insects though? To feed the bait fish and bait fish feed the bass.
@@UMADl3RO5 Trust, there's plenty for ALL! I use them for mosquito control. My lot is a bit more than 2 acres, and I have one on every side, closer to my home then out back. The bonfires take care of that.
@@UMADl3RO5 Probably won't actually do all that much to reduce insect numbers, but bats are cool in themselves.
I don't care what anyone says, we NEED a sloth on the farm! :DDD I'm sry, the eagles have to go
I think taking 15 kindergarten/first graders fishing without any major incidents qualifies you for a level of sainthood. For kids that have parents that don't have time/ don't know how showing them how to fish is truly a beloved memory and it warms my heart that you are sharing that. My mom is probably the busiest person in the world and my dad is disabled so having adults show me kindness and teach me things outside of school was very rare and incredibly meaningful.
We have a field trip to some managed ponds every year for kids that get enough reading in it’s a success every year
You can make your father abled ... Everything is possible with new technology ... Don't just complain
@@Speed99999 I'm not complaining, it's just a fact of life that my dad wasn't able to be a father to me and that's ok. Unfortunately your suggestion to just use modern tech to "fix" him isn't nearly that simple, his problems are almost entirely psychological and I doubt he will ever be different. Why do you feel like I'm complaining in my comment about the positive impact of taking kids fishing? Mentioning my parents was only to exemplify that not all parents have the time or capabilities to spend time with their kids outside and how meaningful it can be for them to have these experiences that they otherwise would miss out on
I've watched this from the beginning and I love it. My guy went from creating a full blown ecosystem to an ecosystem research project and I'm here for it.. watching all these animals and how they live naturally is super cool to see.
The new turtle is so small, you should call him squirt! Like the little dude in finding nemo
Thats a good one!
I agree 💯
I'm not even going to try to compete with that because it's perfect
Splinter! Should be his name
@@177racingthe name of the squirrel or mouse that takes the new nest should be named splinter.
All the modern tech mixed with the old school love of nature. This is my favorite channel for today’s outdoorsman.
I especially love the integration of biology and specifically setting up data collection so even more could potentially be learned. It's so freaking cool and I have never seen anything else quite like it
Does anyone think bama bass expected to reach 1 million fallowers with this pond build? Its crazy to see how many ppl love to watch this kind of content. Congrats and keep the videos coming!
He just reached 1 milliom🎉
Since installing this pond, all of the vegetation on your property looks so much better. The trees look fuller. Grass is growing in nice. You’ve done something truly beautiful here. You did it right. And I have so much respect for you for all of this.
no

You have no idea how much we all look forward to new videos. As soon as I hit this PowerBall I'm gonna do the same.

Yes.
@@ightcooyou’ve never seen the eel pit??!!
@@Urmothasmothasmotha nah what’s that ?
Crazy that your daughter is 6 years old already. Seems like just last week I started watching the series. Time sure does fly. Happy birthday!
Pal. I've watch it from the very first dig out, From the other side the pond (UK) and just seeing you getting everyone involved shows in years to come you're going to be a pillar of your community, and you all deserve all the fortures that come along your way 🙏
BamaBass PLEASE read!! - Place an electronic reader under the eagles nest so you can track which fish are being are being nabbed up! I think this would be a really intresting metric to track...you could even have a million dollar give away for whoever names the first fish to be eaten twice!! Haha, jokes aside I think this would be so cool!
Good idea!
Also you need side rails on the eagle plate form
Great idea!!
My suggestion for the little Turtle is ANZAC - an Australian term we use for our upcoming Anzac Day celebration, 25 April, commemorating 25 April 1915.
25 April is the national day of commemoration of Australia and New Zealand for victims of war and for recognition of the role of their armed forces. It marks the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
@@stevedoty5841eagles like ledges
New turtle should be April O'Neil!
But April O'Neil was a human! Turtle needs turtle name.
Just noticed you passed 1M subs, you deserve it. This has been consistently great content!
Hey! Grats on crossing 1 Million Subscribers!!!
Hello @ bama bass. Hoping to name a bass in your amazing pond. “Kiwi” because my family is from New Zealand!!! Thank you and keep up the amazing work.
If you want the @ thing to work it has to be all one word. Like @bamabass, but I don't think it works on RUclips.
@@johnmagus6341 Yes it does.
So glad to see how far this pond came
That is the most likes I've ever got
The way those woodpecker holes are drilled means its probably a Yellow Shafted Flicker or a Sapsucker. The make their holes in very deliberate grid patterns like that that cover the whole tree.
About electrolytes :-)
- Brawndo has what plants crave! It's got electrolytes!
- Okay. What are electrolytes? Do you know?
- Yeah. It's what they use to make Brawndo.
- But why do they use them in Brawndo? What do they do?'
- They're part of what plants crave.
- But why do plants crave them?'
- Because plants crave Brawndo, and Brawndo has electrolytes.
When I travelled full time for work my gray vinyl roll-top pack had "It's got electrolytes!" in custom black vinyl lettering along the length. I got so many hi-fives and thumbs ups from strangers in foreign airports who knew the movie and loved my otherwise very boring bag. 😂
Great job with a whole bunch of kids. Way back in my Scoutmaster days it was great to get to see some of the “city boys” catch their first fish. Fantastic! Keep up the good work!
Dude... You should build a big Tree House, in that Tree!! That Tree is Huge!!!
Colab with the Treehouse Man from the TV show Treehouse Masters would be crazy awesome!
EXACTLY who I would suggest!!! LOL My Last name is Bass, so I'm really into His Channel! @@mofosoto
Over Million Subs!! Wow...Incredible! Love your channel...Have for many many years
Blessings to bambass all the way from Jamaica 🇯🇲 loving what your doing......
Cedar Falls beauty never ceases to amaze! Those are some lucky kids having a party in a cool place like that.
Also that's a really awesome looking fox squirrel
Love your channel Bama because you are the only one that knows what he’s doing when it comes to stocking Bass and I know quite few of them and you’re the only one that knows what they’re doing.
i agree most of those guys just buy some land and dump fish in without knowing anything they are doing.
ive been hooked on this video because of how awesome it was to watch you defend your bass against the herons in the backyard pond. watching the whole thing grow has been icing on the cake. its crazy to think that a simple fish naming idea will turn into the chance for people to actually see their "pet" and track its movements. also the potential to see its entire life span, or if it happens to get snatched up by bird.
im hooked.
21:22 was the best shot of a fish jumping..bonus points for the backflip to Jonny Stunmen
BTW like lots of others say, these videos and their presentation are great. I used to think the videos were a little long but they seem fine now. I bet you all must edit out hundreds of hours of media to get to this finished video. The 25 minutes is so concentrated with great info and videography.
Fantastic project. You're a data junkie and it makes this VERY interesting.
absolutely amazing footage
This channel is more than just a joy to watch visually, the information is so fascinating and is so well presented as well.
Bass schooling with Trout is the coolest thing i've seen in a while.
You need a eagle nest basket attached to the eagle platform. The type they put on power poles . They would probably build a nest on there . Definitely would be easier for them to build.
Why on earth would people want to encourage large raptors to nest close to power cables?
@@jic1 Dood in Florida The birds build right on top off the power poles everywhere! The power companies put them on to get the birds above the lines so they don’t short out ! The birds build on them even if there isn’t a basket .
@MrFishhook Thanks for explaining this. Some utilities put "eagle" platforms up above transmission lines here in CA because several species of large birds build nests on anything tall enough to suit their needs when tall enough trees or other nesting spots they prefer are not available.
Yeah let’s keep the bald eagles around so they can keep eating bass full of microchips. Then we can track the bald eagles migration patterns!
The tracking system is one of the coolest things I've seen. I can't wait to see the way all of that develops. Watching their habits and being able to track individual fish is so cool.
I love seeing how the bass grow and all the knowable information you put in you videos, keep it up ❤
All those kids on the dock at Sarah's BD party made me nervous just watching! Glad to see them come and glad to see them go!
Bama, I am 99% certain you’re going to grow a world record largemouth
I thought the same thing.
That would have to be well over 22lbs (10kg).
It will probably take at least a decade or longer. Hell maybe 2 decades
@@ericduncan7266 they way he's taking care of them and making sure they've got lots of food options it might not take that long. Wait till one of them is big enough to eat a baby duck.
@@joshzembower856 either way it going to be epic.
WOW .. pond is lookin excellent .. crazy to see how far it has come since the beginning
Awesome video. Great info for us pond owners! Thank you for sharing!
Gotta love Sunday evening!! Thanks for sharing
Please keep narrate the whole video because it’s your channel and I enjoy listening to the land owner to explain what is going on with the pond thank you for your channel ❤
Look forward to the new video every week. Love your slice of heaven. Thanks for sharing it with us.
been watching on and off since you started building the backyard pond a few years ago, you have the coolest job ever
One of the best channels on RUclips from the UK love each episode 💯👍🏻🇬🇧
This channel needs some sort of award.
The tree feeding station is awesome ❤
Not to be in your business but we NEED a price breakdown video
The amount of data you're capturing is amazing. I can't even imagine what will come of it all.
I raised a couple bass like Bonnie and Clyde. Almost same tank to. So cool. I love the science you are able to do with all the antennas and tags ECT. Great channel 👷📢👏
Another awesome video! As a carnivorous plant fan, it would be cool to see updates about how the CPs planted around the new pond are doing.
Add some pieces of board to the pallet for the gaps for the eagles perch, as well as some 2"x12"s on the sides to act as skid boards. I bet the eagles would start building a next quicker then! Love your vids!
Been watching since you caught moby, crazy how far it's come
My goodness! I absolutely love this channel! One of the best bass channels there is! 🙂🙂🙂💖
the transition form digging to lake looks amazing
Always looking forward to your next video to see what new data you've collected. I'm in it for the long haul. Keep up the great content!!
Love the weekly video drops!! You need to add smallmouth pleaseee! I’d be curious to see how fast and big you could grow them because of their slower growth rate than largemouth.
Can’t wait to get my boat out again. It’s 50 degrees and windy here 😤😤
Ive been following your channel since day one. Amazing progress and the show has developed a lot more than I thought. Congratulations on your success. Can you show the tackle youre using. I saw the white chatterbait. Thanks for showing. It would be a big help to see what the fish are biting on at your pond to get an idea what to use. You could probably throw a pencil w hooks and catch something at your pond but it helps to see what theyre going after as a pond fisherman in the southeast. Thanks. Great channel.
My son and I are hooked since the beginning. Love this! Never miss a showing.
I love the idea of a Pavlovian approach to feeding the bass😂
New turtle has to be Shredder!
I was thinking more of master Splinter
Every one forgets that there is a 5th turtle in the show,Slash
I absolutely love your style of videos truly from beginning to end each time. God bless love from Colorado.
These videos are so relaxing!
So glad to see Jon Snow pinging the antennas 👑
Feed time is coming.
Cool to see the LMNT! I use it regularly when i’m mtn biking.
I love watching your pond activities!
What an amazing resource a pond is. Man you guys got the heavy lifters and pushers out there, I want to see what i can create with just my mini excavator.
Gotta name him Master Splinter! Keeping with the Ninja Turtle theme
Master splinter is not a turtle.
@@theblack7772 correct. No one said it had to be the name of an actual turtle did they??? Splinter is on the cartoon and is the leader. He’s different from a turtle, like this one has a different belly. Ought to be easy to spot.
Slash would be better if keeping with the theme
@@uttcut19 there is a 5th turtle her name is Venus di Milo.
Name it after the girl they all liked can't think of her name
The new baby turtle just has to be named Splinter❤ keeping up the TMNT theme
Slash is in the show and he is also a turtle
Installing the live scope was a cool idea!!! I wish you’d install a hydro wave and do a study to see if it triggers the bass to feed
It looks so good !
Hey from San Diego California USA 🇺🇸 love the show
Have a great week guy's,thanks for the video, take care and God Bless!!!❤😊
its about that time to see some crappie being brought in for the small bass control. id start out with 15 crappie js so nothing over crowds giving you that less stressed look on the pond, your doing great my man
My absolute favorite channel to watch ,I'm always anxious to see the next video!!!❤❤❤
The best utube videos on all of utube. Lets go bama
I love what you do sir!!!! Me and my nephew watch all of your episode!!!!
It's always interesting to see what's going on at the lake!!!
i am always excited to watch this series it really makes my day
Big fan of the series but I would love to see you use large swimbaits to test the aggression of your fish and maybe catch Bonnie and Clyde along the way.
Eventually I’m sure
Really love your channel mate really injoy watching you and hearing you talk just watching the fish reminds me of my childhood love fishing
It looks like things have turned out really well, I'm happy for you dude!
Absolutely love your series.
You should name the turtle April after the reporter from the turtles and her love interest with Donatello!
I look forward to seeing the third and fourth generation bass in cedar falls. long way off, I know, but still looking forward to it.
I have gotten so attached to your wild pets.
Love your videos man! It would be cool to do a Timelapse of you turning the waterfalls on so we can see them all fill up! Keep up the great work!
A labor of love and well done. 🙌
Shredder for the new turtle!
You always fullfill my week ❤
If you still have persistent cloudiness in the small pond, attach 6' piece of 2" pvc to the end of the hose. Turn. The hose on, and drive the pipe into the gravel in the wetland filter, loft it to the surface, and repeat as needed. Works great. Used to build ponds for a living, and that was always the fastest way to clean gravel
favorite part of my week is the sunday video! been watching since you started building the pond. would love to have a fish named bre
love your story look forward to see each one so entertaining
All your vids are awesome and deserve some kinda award if I was running the show folks!!
my favorite series. love the animal footage.
Watched every video right here in west London.. absolutely love it and I don't even fish never have
I had the same occurrence with an early spawn. I had a few schools of 1-1.5'' bass in February.
Your hard work looks great! I look forward to seeing your content and always click play when I come across an new upload,
These videos always bring me joy, but seeing the birthday party for the kids was next level!!!!
What a fun video. I would think in roughly two years, this will be a really fun bass/bluegill pond. Add this to #1 on my list of things I'd do if I had a million dollars (or two). It's interesting to see that you were able to keep trout in this lake. And, it's finally nice to see FFS used in a healthy, educational manner, rather than a shameless, crutch for "professional" anglers. What a beautiful piece of land you have.
