Combat is great now! They messed up the physics a bit i believe. Now they need to improve the day and night cycle, nights needs to be darker, waaay darker, dark like DL1, make the sun and moon dynamic, not static, yea the moon is fucking static, its not even rise or set, its just pops in and out, the sun is just warping from one place to an another, they just need to implement DL1's dynamic sun and moon with darker nights and be done with it, i would make the world less colored and more rain cloudy to make a more depressing image to the city, it would make a better apocalyptic athmosphere
it is? it may be because pre rendering shadows and light effects saves alot of gpu power, i heard that the game is already pretty heavy on modern hardware, really hope it doesnt turn out to be that way because i was hoping for a better night and day cycle too and if the game is chugging at these optimizations it may lag even more when dynamic cycles come
@@DuhNoU It is, my solution would be first implementing the better day and night, lighting and such then second, GPU Power saving mode, with that you could pretty much "dumb" down things so that the game would't eat GPU power faster than Chrome eats the RAM, basicly you could choose between old vs new, or let you make your own custom settings of em, third i would implement turnable adaptive quality, set a target FPS then let the thing do its work, it would be most usefull to weaker rigs, as it would automaticly dumb down everything to reach the targeted FPS, it would most likely help with FPS drops too, it worked out pretty well in Warface's case. But the lag and performance "chugging" is optimization problems mainly, simply said those are very much fixable WITHOUT these implementations, DL1 itself had a short period where it was laggy mess, they did fix that.
Just turn on "Dark+normal" and voila you got much darker nights, if you want less color then turn on gritty, and I don't think a moon moving around is at the top of the priority list lol

If only DL 2 had a Sprint bottun💔
Jason Bourne in zombieland
looks like dead island 2 has made techland step up and actually improve the game
Trying to decide whether or not to pick this up or the new dead island
Same
@@zamnation21 I got dying light 2. Not disappointed
Both are good especially with the updates techland did for dying light 2 there both lots of fun.
what has been updated in short?
Did you get dead island 2 copy?
That also added a little something at the end
I wish I had some tomatoes (33 second in)
Is the game worthy playing? I’ve never played the second because I kept hearing it had a lot of problems and at the time I was playing other games. But the updates look great, and this make me want to play it over dead island.
Can anyone in the comments confirm if it’s worth it or not?
You could do what I do, wait for the upcoming parkour Update this summer, start playing then (get it sometime on sale) and then you should have enough content to go through until the 2nd dlc drop before the end of the year
I think it greatly depends on what you play
On old gen don’t even bother if it’s new gen/PC it MIGHT be something for you. I haven’t really played that much but I don’t feel like It had the Dying Light 1 feel to it. I do on the other hand think it’s worth playing especially because I love zombie games and parkour and they did nail the parkour aspect and gave the zombies even more variety. If you have any other games in mind atm I’d say hold on with DL2 till it gets a few more updates or if it’s on sale again
Or you could just go ahead and play it like I said I do think it’s worth playing has some great characters and an MC that I like
@@doodoowater5282 thanks for the response! I’m on PS5. I too love parkour and zombies, haven’t really had anything like that in awhile. I was waiting for dead island 2, but it’s turning out to be less like the game for me. And then I saw the update with the cobalt for DL2 and it really intrigued me.
Thanks again for your comment 🤘🏽
Just get it. It’s fun and there will be more updates. I’m on old gen and have 150 hours. Two crashes the entire time. Idk wtf the other guy is talking about
@@Hood8891 right now it’s like $22 bucks on psn, and they have that new update come out today. So I’m thinking it might be a good time to buy 🤷🏾♂️
I was holding out for dead island 2, it seems to be less then expected.
But the lag and performance "chugging" is optimization problems mainly, simply said those are very much fixable WITHOUT these implementations, DL1 itself had a short period where it was laggy mess, they did fix that.
nvm im wrong
Just turn on "Dark+normal" and voila you got much darker nights, if you want less color then turn on gritty, and I don't think a moon moving around is at the top of the priority list lol
Simply just turn down the gamma
Anyone having trouble with the grapple not working properly?
Change it to advanced grappling in options it will work again even though they do need to fix the original way to use it. It's been broken for a while
Tell me why you can’t grapple a zombie towards you and jump up and drop kick it, I can’t be the only one that constantly tries.
Man, that’s just Bulletstorm
What is that outfit are u wearing?
This game might actually be ok now
Refunding this POS was the best decision I made in a while.
my condolences
@@dirtyshinobii Thanks, but no need, I got my money back, and didn't waste my time with this trash game. ))
@@SellingSouls no i mean my condolences that your opinions are so trash
I wish I had more tomatoes
Great update, just deleted my save file of about 25 hours. Fuck this game man.
