Excellent instruction. You are clearly a great teacher. I find this hardstyle clean is a bit easier to execute (but more demanding in terms of strength and explosiveness) than the sport style clean, in which you clean the kettlebell from the bottom of the swing position, and not the floor. I have trouble executing the sport style clean without banging my forearms.
Both are good I just find the clean from the floor most beneficial for building explosive power and strength. There’s certainly always a learning curve when trying something new / don’t do often ✅
Just started incorporating this exercise into my routine. I’ve been slapping the kettle bell against my forearm and bicep. Doing it incorrectly. Excellent tutorial on the proper form. Will be practicing using your tips. Thanks
67 years of age, Trained as a powerlifter, Bodybuilding for years. Now doing a lot of kettlebell training. Really enjoy it !!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of kettlebells!!!
I haven’t used them, much it’s definitely a common sense issue. I do hard body conditioning too, so I strike hard items, so it may work for me to do a unconventional raise with the kettlebell. Thanks for the clear & concise clip 💪🤜🤛
Gunslinger was a good point for me, I’m trying to flip it UP and over and that’s not what’s happening. Going to work on that portion while my forearm heals from the wrist whacks I put myself through yesterday 😅
Awesome video, I am new to the Kettlebell world, the last 6 months but it has increased my strength incredibly. BTW...What type of pants are those, NoBull?
Great video I can do a proper clean with my right side , but my left side is a different story , I keep flipping the kettlebell over and coming hard down on my forearm and wrist , because of a shoulder impairment . Any advice wes
no matter how I do this it's so painful on the back of my wrist. Even when just doing it basically slow motion. I'm wonderin if my hands just aren't built for the clean motion.
@@stephenberry5518 yes 100%...ive tried everything. Just come to the conclusion my arms are just too sensitive and bony on the back. I've tried with really low weights and it doesnt matter.
This is fantastic. I was having trouble getting that final rotation from the gunslinger position to the clean position without smacking my forearms. Your tutorial helped a lot.
The clearest explenation of the KB clean available on whole YT. Thx!
Glad it helped!
Were you new to yt? 😂
He genuinely knows the kettlebell clean technique, properly done. Thank you!
That was super helpful. Practicing with the gunslinger is what really unlocked things for me. Thank you!
Glad it helped ✅
Seriously no one talks about this second step gunslinger in between while transition. So well done explaining this
I like the “gunslinger” part. Makes it easier to understand the entire exercise. Thank you.

Spot on!!!
Thank you, bro!
Nicely done - thank you!
Thank you! Got some idea what I was doing wrong, I was jerking it up using arms, not the lower body, also was throwing it around too much.
Excellent video

excellent!
Usefull. Thanks

There's a little shoulder rotation that I think is super important to go over here.

"Gun slinger" cue. 🤔 that's new to me. And I like it!
Very helpful
really good vid
💪🏻💪🏻
Why aren't your hips swinging? Isn't the clean a swing plus rack?
You are describing the original clean. This guy was demonstrating a so-called dead-stop clean.
Would you combine a clean and press with a row?
Perfect📌👌🏼♣️

Pain makes you tougher :))
Need slow motion video
Scrolling through, I read the headline incorrectly… I thought it said How to clean your kettlebell…
no matter how I do this it's so painful on the back of my wrist. Even when just doing it basically slow motion. I'm wonderin if my hands just aren't built for the clean motion.
Is your thumb pointed towards the body at the start

Coach J ? Where? Where's coach J? Oh, sorry, couldn't quite see him because of his bicep blocking the camera
Guess I'm too skinny for that. Even if I do it right the resting position feels so god damn painful, almost like breaking my bone.
any videos with no shirt ;)

Great to hear!
My arm is hurting just looking at the cover pic of this video. However did manage to clean my first 32kg today 🦾
