    Thank you, Mark. for the consistent effort in getting the message out. I was finishing off a Simply Sinister program (with some of your specific workouts as extras) in 2022 - was 50% of the way to transitioning from 28kgs to 36kgs...and then polymyalgia rheumatica hit me - wiped me out! Two hernias then made sure I was out for the count....but I am now working my way back to fitness. I was always sympathetic to people who had to work their way out of a weak position, but right now, that is me! And although I have the focus and determination to "get back on deck", it is still valuable, not to mention comforting, to watch your videos as they come out. Thank you! ...and btw, I run out of puff at 50 reps of 16 kgs atm...looong way to go, but by hell, I will get back on top! and you are part of that!

    Excellent video =). Just thinking out loud in a sense so I remember later: When I swing clean and swing snatch, I rotate my hand and slightly lean my torso back to initiate the swing down. I'm working to improve both swing clean and swing snatch but I'm thinking that hand rotation and slight torso lean still applies on the push part of the push swing pull catch coaching cue.

    • @BoomsRiddico4868
      @BoomsRiddico4868 19 дней назад +1

      Nope. It's a Belstaff jacket. The original waxed motorbike jacket. Quite a bit more expensive than a Barbour and a lot cooler IMO. Barbour were farmer/working jackets, who have now gone on to copy the belstaff motorbike style jacket. Barbour became popular with the royals when they were on their country estates whereas Belstaff remained a motorbike jacket until they became fashionable, being bought out by an Italian fashion label and then brought/bought back to the uk by the billionaire that own Ineos. Hence the Inoes Grenadier/Belstaff collaboration.

    Hello. With 12kg (26lb) I will do 35 repetitions with both hands (in both directions, just two sets of 35 repetitions). I do shoulder presses with barbells only marginally, with small weights (12kg ViPR one-handed), unilateral and slow repetitions (about 4 seconds negative phase of the movement in each repetition). How many kg do you think I should lift for 10 reps on the military press when I have the macebell swing strength I described at the beginning of the post? Your tips? Give your tips, I'll try it and write it soon... 🙂

    That's interesting Mark. As someone who's suffering from degenerative disc disease stemming from facet joint syndrome i was instructed NOT to perform any rotational movement so as not to disrupt the discs (what remains of them...) or the vertebrae.
    Now you're introducing the rotation drills for a supposedly healthier spine - does that only apply to people who are injury-free?

    • @farstrider79
      @farstrider79 13 дней назад

      This isn't where I'd start, it would probably be to much. Palloff Press with a band is a nice gentle way to start training rotation/anti rotation.

      @@wadsworth2351 I don't have degenerative disk disease........yet, but do have chronic back issues that are generally aggravated by rotation moves done incorrectly. Everyone is different, but for me, I have to work really hard on ANTI rotation a lot and rotation very gently.
      Side planks and Bird Dog probably the most helpful exercise I do these days, once I learned them, I got good at Good Mornings, then kettlebell swings. But even then(yesterday) I get the occasional flare up in my back from doing completely innocuous tasks like twisting to pick up an drill at work.

    Mark, recently I've come across a video by Lebe Stark who claims that spine rotational kettlebell exercises are dangerous and can cause serious injuries. What do you think of that?

    • @joshuafranken2030
      @joshuafranken2030 День назад +1

      Mark, working out is dangerous and can cause injury period. The only problem is that not working out causes more injuries long term and devastating health effects. Notice the video author is telling you to start with light weight and slowly move up. If you progress too fast you will increase chances of injury. Go very slow in your weight progression and you will reduce chances.
