I like Mark's videos so much! Firstly, he explains everything so explicitly. Besides, he seems like your old friend who is really dedicated to his craft and always ready to talk about it. Thanks for your videos, Mark Wildman!
~5 yrs with this channel; am still impressed with the consistency of the excellence of the instructions!
Am reminded of a quote (mis?)attributed to Aristotle: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
what about his outfit though?
@@ds6914 What about it?
@@shantanusapru you know what I mean!!
@@ds6914 No, I don't. If I did, I wouldn't have asked.
I don't like to waste time on the internet by kidding around or being sarcastic.
So, kindly explain/elucidate/elaborate...
@@shantanusapru you clearly do waste your time on the internet
I like the attention to detail you take in creating interesting backgrounds
Thank you, Mark. for the consistent effort in getting the message out. I was finishing off a Simply Sinister program (with some of your specific workouts as extras) in 2022 - was 50% of the way to transitioning from 28kgs to 36kgs...and then polymyalgia rheumatica hit me - wiped me out! Two hernias then made sure I was out for the count....but I am now working my way back to fitness. I was always sympathetic to people who had to work their way out of a weak position, but right now, that is me! And although I have the focus and determination to "get back on deck", it is still valuable, not to mention comforting, to watch your videos as they come out. Thank you! ...and btw, I run out of puff at 50 reps of 16 kgs atm...looong way to go, but by hell, I will get back on top! and you are part of that!
😊😊pretty p
I appreciate your efforts to make these videos in new and interesting locations 💪
Thanks Mark, excellent instructions. Love how you reiterated the fundamentals of catch hand grip alignment into this rotational masterpiece movement
Yeah, I’m really dealing with slow connective tissue growth in my shoulders. It’s tough to stay patient because I always feel stronger than I am.
thank you, perfect. like the repeat of info at the end to drive the point forward
I really love your level of instruction
I have two days a week when I am trying to push heavier weights. I am gonna add this practice once a week with only the 8kg for the next six weeks to see how I do. This hits so many important points at once.
It was Pat Flynn that introduced me to kettlebells, but it was Mark's coaching cues that really help me progress. Thank you!
Also, besides your camera, your training gear etc. you should really list your jackets :))
I love Pat and Dan John's weekly podcast, so much free and practical advice.
Did these today. Love these with inside/outside circles.
Thanks man for your tips. 👌🏿Very helpful 👊🏿
Great timing! Been looking to replace my cross-swings with a C&P with some rotational aspect.
Will try this (with a lighter bell) along with one normal press after each swing once I got the movement down.
It makes SO much sense👍👍
I will have to try this. Thanks
Thanks coach.. very inspiring. Never see this movement
I really like this. Not sure I can do it with my knee and ankle injures, but I’m gonna try it. Thanks man.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏿
Clear, informative, subscribed. I also want to wear my new jacket everywhere when I get one
Best instructor on the tube! Kettle None, or All Kettle, no bar!😂
Thank you.
Outstanding.
Excellent video =). Just thinking out loud in a sense so I remember later: When I swing clean and swing snatch, I rotate my hand and slightly lean my torso back to initiate the swing down. I'm working to improve both swing clean and swing snatch but I'm thinking that hand rotation and slight torso lean still applies on the push part of the push swing pull catch coaching cue.
Love your new Barbour wax jacket!
Nope. It's a Belstaff jacket. The original waxed motorbike jacket. Quite a bit more expensive than a Barbour and a lot cooler IMO. Barbour were farmer/working jackets, who have now gone on to copy the belstaff motorbike style jacket. Barbour became popular with the royals when they were on their country estates whereas Belstaff remained a motorbike jacket until they became fashionable, being bought out by an Italian fashion label and then brought/bought back to the uk by the billionaire that own Ineos. Hence the Inoes Grenadier/Belstaff collaboration.
I carved an 8 inch long, conical grip unto a 3 foot long branch about 3 inches in diameter. Perfect
New Jacket!
He’s posting the unboxing soon…
Great info. 👍👍👍
Please next time upload it with speed 90 % as it is hard to keep up with the amount of info that flows from your mouth.
...
Unfortunately YT removed the 90% speed and put too much voice changing speed 75% as an only option.
Is this exercise in both of the clean and press programs? What is the difference between the two you offer?
Your instruction is excellent. However, having a mild Vision impairment, it would be beneficial for me if you wore light colored clothing so the kettlebell has more contrast against your body.
Hello. With 12kg (26lb) I will do 35 repetitions with both hands (in both directions, just two sets of 35 repetitions). I do shoulder presses with barbells only marginally, with small weights (12kg ViPR one-handed), unilateral and slow repetitions (about 4 seconds negative phase of the movement in each repetition). How many kg do you think I should lift for 10 reps on the military press when I have the macebell swing strength I described at the beginning of the post? Your tips? Give your tips, I'll try it and write it soon... 🙂
Hey man - nice location. New studio? Or just borrowing it for a bit?
Goldsmiths, University of London. Great Hall. Where the London seminar was and bit of trivia that is my Kettlebell.
reinvent8ng tge wheel....rotate!
What is the city skyline behind your demo? Looks like Edmonton.
What difference does using a KB for this have instead of a club? I get the lever length is different but whats the effect? why would I use a KB over a club? Is KB easier ? Thanks
The only thing that comes to my mind is availability. Also easier to break a knee if you don't have the coordination 😅
Okay, you like clubs we get it.
@@jojodancer1743 I was only joking mate!
Like you, I can't see the difference. I think it is a very good question 👍🏽
@@Esc3pticoSolitario Wasn't talking to you. Lol
@@jojodancer1743 jajajaja😂😅
That's interesting Mark. As someone who's suffering from degenerative disc disease stemming from facet joint syndrome i was instructed NOT to perform any rotational movement so as not to disrupt the discs (what remains of them...) or the vertebrae.
Now you're introducing the rotation drills for a supposedly healthier spine - does that only apply to people who are injury-free?
This isn't where I'd start, it would probably be to much. Palloff Press with a band is a nice gentle way to start training rotation/anti rotation.
@@farstrider79 Thanks for the tip. I'll look into the exercise you kindly suggested.
@@wadsworth2351 I don't have degenerative disk disease........yet, but do have chronic back issues that are generally aggravated by rotation moves done incorrectly. Everyone is different, but for me, I have to work really hard on ANTI rotation a lot and rotation very gently.
Side planks and Bird Dog probably the most helpful exercise I do these days, once I learned them, I got good at Good Mornings, then kettlebell swings. But even then(yesterday) I get the occasional flare up in my back from doing completely innocuous tasks like twisting to pick up an drill at work.
I can’t get the kettlebell to line up at the 45 degrees in the hand, I keep holding it like a dumbbell.
I am making the L in my hand line up with the L in the kettlebell but it wants to sit like a dumbbell and not at a 45. Any advice
How close is this to club swinging? I'd like to give them a try, but my wife will kill me if i buy anymore exercise equipment 😂. Ive got a decent variety of kettlebells already.
What city is that in the background?
What church are you in? Is it now a gym? Great info!
Mark, recently I've come across a video by Lebe Stark who claims that spine rotational kettlebell exercises are dangerous and can cause serious injuries. What do you think of that?
Mark, working out is dangerous and can cause injury period. The only problem is that not working out causes more injuries long term and devastating health effects. Notice the video author is telling you to start with light weight and slowly move up. If you progress too fast you will increase chances of injury. Go very slow in your weight progression and you will reduce chances.
@@joshuafranken2030 thanks for giving your opinion, but I didn't ask about that. 😎👍👌
Goldsmiths?
Barbour jacket?
Belstaff. much cooler than Barbour and a lot more expensive.
rock lee lol😇
Are you working out in an LDS church or something?
Goldsmiths, University of London. Great Hall.We had a 2 day club and staff seminar there in late April 2024.

BS! Weights were never designed to be thrown! It's traumatic and considered a ballistic movement....and that's why you talk far too much with far too much generalised BS! 🤬⚠️
