    Hey guys! Check out our Free RV Basic Must-Haves Checklist Here: bit.ly/3MbbPkX
    It’s reasonably minimalistic, but covers everything you’ll need for a successful part-time getaway in your RV!
    Tell us below about what range your yearly RV trips falls under. Do you like to boondock more, or do you love the bougie campgrounds like we do?

    We have a seasonal site near Lake Michigan. We also like to take trips south on shoulder seasons. If you compare camping to hotels/restaurants or cruises, it’s still a good amount of adventure for the money. It also helps if you keep your equipment five + years. You can’t buy back the time so go while you can.

    Great detailed video! I think these kind of videos are helpful for people getting into the RV life. It can be so intimidating!

    You would definitely benefit from a Thousand Trails camping pass with the Trails Collection add on.

      We could look further into it, but honestly, we don’t like to be stuck with the same destinations. We like to switch it up. And the only 1000 Trails in KY isn’t that great.

    Great video… memories are priceless and as long at the end of the month all bills are paid, and credit card(s) have zero balance.. then doing what you love is not dumb!!
    We are part timers as well.. we do a lot of corp campgrounds locally and 3 big trips a year..
    Yes .. already making 2024 plans and reservations…This year we are planned for our biggest trip ever … headed west for 2 weeks
    The beach
    And “Kentucky “

      We’re doing some corp campgrounds too. Was just fightin’ somebody for a waterfront site this morning! They won, but we got the site next to it. Lol those are hard to book!!

    Loved the video!!! You are super organized 😂me not so much but I do make a list. Oh and I have the same sweatshirt in black. Got it from my daughter for Christmas 2 years ago and I love it….actually have it on right now

      😂 that’s so great! Great minds apparently think alike and dress alike!
      That travel binder helps us a ton! Especially because you have to book so many sites so far out to even get an opening! I don’t like digging through months of emails trying to remember. And this way I can flip right to the book and find all the info. And it helps us visually see the year ahead and avoid booking on dates we might have big events coming up, like graduations or something like that.

    Love your videos! I am telling you- you should to a meet and greet!
    Anchor Down is awesome! Do Cades Cove on a Wendsday during the summer no cars. We do it all the time from Townsend Little River is a campground not a destination but we like the local food scene without the traffic. We are going to look at your locals barren river and Diamond Caverns. Been looking at inflatable kayaks. How did the TPMS work out?

    • @OurNextAdventurejvh
      @OurNextAdventurejvh  7 месяцев назад

      Hey thank you so much! We truly appreciate the support! The TPMS ordeal is coming along. Gonna take it to a tire shop & install sensors inside the tires instead of the exterior ones that go on the valve stem. Camper is locked up in storage currently until it warms up, but we’re flying to FL tomorrow for the show. Should have a couple videos soon on it! Never done any kind of meet and greet but maybe one day. This time we’re going to look at some specific accessories and hopefully meet whoever we see down there! First time we get to go on creator day ☺️. Yes, definitely try Barren River sometime. It’s not a bad little State Park. Very simple. Thanks so much for the kind words and support 😀

    We try to get out of the heat in Texas in summers, we are not full timers, but spend a few months away from home each year. 2023 expenses for just June through August (fuel + campsites) was around 7k. So similar to yours. 2024 scheduled June through August will be around 10k. Like you guys we are in for the memories so the costs are worth it. Safe travels.

    Less is more is very TRUE. We have had a dozen campers and now we just have a small camper trailer. I think I would rather have a Van Now. Thanks guys, it is nice to hear from people that do what we do. Thanks, hope to meet you.

    Great video, I feel so much better about what we spent last year lol. 😂. One thing we started doing is going on less trips but staying more nights, we won’t do less than 3 night anymore, feels so much more relaxing.
    Less is more, happy 24! Keep em coming!

      @OurNextAdventurejvh  7 месяцев назад +1

      Haha 😆 that’s what we said after watching a full-timer’s video on how much they spent!! Lol Everybody does it differently. But no matter how we do it, we all love it! Wish we could stay longer more often too, but we still have a kid in school and unfortunately have 3 more years living by the school calendar. Love our kids, but cannot wait until we don’t have to live by that dang schedule anymore.

      Oh that’s so great! Yes, get out go as often as you can! That’s what our grandparents always told us. Don’t worry about it, just go. So glad to hear you looked into Anchor Down! We hope you love it as much as we did! We’ll definitely go back! That pool/lake view is the best!

    Never say it’s dumb to make memories, life isn’t guaranteed forever. Money you make is to live and enjoy life, I think if this is the path you choose enjoy it!

      @OurNextAdventurejvh  7 месяцев назад +1

      We agree ☺️ When you see the numbers on paper it hurts a little bit lol but in our opinion, it hurts a lot worse if that money spent was on junk and things that DON’T last.

    We agree 100% we usually don't travel too far but we are going out further to the destination trips as I say we are practicing for retirement (in approx 6-7 years.....I Hope). It's pretty much just the wife & I now, but the kids have joined us from time to time, and a couple trips with the grand kids.
    We camped 14 times in 2023 in Indiana, Illinois, & Michigan, we do want to go to Kentucky sometime, so any suggestions are welcome? 🙂 Our normal trips are electric only or Electric/Water usually 2-4 days and once in a while we will do full hookups for 5-10 day trips we have a 2022 Jayco 27RK white hawk travel trailer. Thanks for the planning book and vision ideas. Safe travels, maybe someday we will meet you on the road. Butch & Kim

      @OurNextAdventurejvh  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Butch & Kim! Thanks so much for the kind words! That travel binder is so helpful! And it always gives us something to look forward to, knowing we have some trips coming up. Couple KY recommendations would be North Folk at Rough River in the Fall, Land Between the Lakes- Hillman Ferry, and Sheltowee Trace where you can go to Cumberland Falls which is a nice, easy hike. We have an older video on that of you want to see the campground there. Hope that’s helpful for now ☺️KY Horse Park is fun too!
