Someone should put all the songs George says you'll hear in heaven together at the same time to truly know what it will sound like
I think that would create what you get when you walk into hell
@@MaydupNem nah, you'll get the audio version of a biblically accurate angel
Charles Ives has joined the chat
@Leanja you just repeated the other guy
I believe heaven won’t just sound chaotic, we will have eternity there, one song at a time will be fine
Adam Rapa is one of my favorite players. Super talented and dedicated to the craft. OG as hell too. George has slowly revealed over time his liking of Trumpets and I appreciate it.
i think george plays the trumpet
@@robertopalmese He does
I met Adam at the annual trumpet conference. He's such a down to earth person that wants to help everyone. At that same conference, he came across a gifted young trumpet player who wasn't able to afford decent equipment and so he helped sponsor him and they ended up getting the kid brand new stuff and free lessons with a few of the most famous players that were there.
I saw Adam Rapa once while walking through a park and I asked to shake his hand since I'm a huge fan! Instead of shaking my hand Adam beat me half to death with his trumpet, hit me with that Yoinky Sploinky while he played Maple Leaf Rag, then casually strolled away as onlookers cheered while I wheezed with a punctured lung and six broken ribs.
8/10 would love to meet him again!
@@firstnext5482 LMAO was not expecting that
If this is my end credits music there needs to be a kazoo SOMEWHERE in there.
Are you sure that isn't what you hear when you don't make it into heaven?
Would you settle for a vuvuzuela?
@@edgarbanuelos6472 im traumatized by the 2010 world cup, just you saying that world brought back the unforgiving and omnipresent onslaught of that terrible terrible sound
I remember kazoos being handed out on our college campus one day years ago, and the results of handing a bunch of music majors a kazoo were pretty awesome. 🤣
Would you settle for a terrible recorder cover?
He truly makes the instrument sing as if it were an extension of himself. Truly marvelous and not easy to do on trumpet.
Thanks for writing out all your trumpet parts in Bb, it shows real dedication and confirms our superiority over lowly concert pitch instruments.
I agree , my old teacher said one day there would only be two trumpets. The big Bb and the little Bb ( piccolo ) . His name was Mel Broiles and he would have crushed this piece just like Mr Rapa !
In one word: phenomenal. This is full of emotions.
I’m not sure they’ll let that much sass into heaven. Enjoy it while we’re here on earth. 😉
The procedural masquerade into the hall, full of people bathing in glorious light. Their tone is so round and rich, even way high. Well done. 👏👏
it’s been a while since i’ve seen you in a comment section, long time no Sea 🫡
Your English is very impregnable like a British professor
I originally came to this channel for the transcriptions. I find myself staying for music recommendations and discovery!
One of the craziest experiences I had whilst learning music was having a masterclass with the legend itself Adam Rapa.
I mean, you should see this guy warming up, in front of a class of 50 trumpet students, all of them watching him for 1 hour+ just "meditating" with the mouthpiece, reaching notes I did not think possible to reach with just the mouthpiece, this moment is still so vivid in my brain I daydream about it. He was born for this
I feel like I just finished a JRPG and it’s about to put the “and special thanks to…YOU” up in the credits
This would make a killer drum corps ballad
Very reminiscent of bluecoats 17-21 shows
Pretty sure I'm gonna hear the Windows shutdown sound fx 😵
Raps is amazing, he’s dedicated to every single facet of existence that will make him a better player.
People keep saying that. I'm definitely going to be checking him out
One of my favorite trumpet clips. Thank you for posting. 😀
0:58 was the most dci thing I’ve ever heard that wasn’t dci and it was also the most incredible thing I’ve ever heard
This is what farewell sounds like
This is very DCI scoring and I love it
I can not describe how much i want the full peice of him playing
Here it is: ruclips.net/video/Z253hIanJck/видео.html
@@jordifuite836 thank you so much
I remember hearing this about 5ish years ago, it sounded great then and sounds great now.
It's been 14 years since I've consistently played trumpet. This video makes my lips hurt.
If this isn't played at my funeral I ain't dying
Adams sound and playing is phenomenal.
He made a wise decision spending his time practicing instead of ironing his shirt
This guy feels the deed
love how his Lotus gears sound so different to Monette gears, I'm playing with their mouthpiece now and it sounds phenomenal
Was really lucky to play with a Guards brass ensemble in a concert at the Guards Church with Adam Rappa a few years ago - was absolutely phenominal.
Saint Phero definately timing the notes to open the door
Bass trombonist got bills to pay Jesus😭
Gabriell will be blowing even better.
Heaven? A nice medieval concept.
This is fantastic. Would love the transcription to include the chord changes, though (for ease of understanding).
Better than any Talyor swift song
trumpeteer in the back was seriously appreciatin' it
Amazing
clean music 😀
wow
If by gates of heaven you mean a cheesy 70s made for TV movie starring Warren beatty then yes, I agree with you
It's the first time I've seen a director with a sword in his holster. I guess it inspires musicians to play well
You need to check out the music to Laputa Castle in the Sky, the trumpet solo!
Stunning 😮
Is this the guy from Lotus Trumpets? :) Plays amazingly nice!
Nicely played.
Heaven? Nah. Gates of Hell! As in HELL YEAH!
Do you feel proud? Do you feel proud of what you just said?
Earned the sub
Nice dream.
Old trumpets play the best music. There are approximately ten professionals in the world that can play in this range.
sounds more like the opening credits to some 80s family sitcom/drama
Awesome playing, one thing i was wondering is how all state region works since im a middle schooler currently learning these etudes
Would love to see the underlying harmony transcribed too, so cool! Is there a studio version too?
If you’re in any doubt about the quality of this, zoom in on the middle trumpet player! He’s loving life!
Band of the Scots Guards in the background!
Household Division Guards Big Band, not Scots Guards
actually, what I'm most likely to hear at the gates of heaven is "nah, sorry man, you at the wrong gates..."
Adam Rapa boiiii
Always knew heaven is on earth.
I didn't know Bruce Willis played the Trumpet
Pov-me casually waiting in the heavens lobby
❤
gabriel blew his horn and i was ready to go!
DAAAMN the drummer at 0:53!!! ♥ 🎉
He made a trumpet spund like a saxaphone xDD
Who needs overtones when you are the overtones
if i hear this at the gates of heaven i'll scream HELL NO
You should do something with ARK: Survival Evolved Music
Filmed in The Guards' Chapel, London, part of The Household Division.
first 20 seconds could fool me for pokke village
I’m staying away from heaven if that’s what I’m getting
Blue Devils show 2024 book it
Very well done, but try the beginning of MF’s “Gospel John” for this label. 😊
Nice
I’m pretty sure I’ll all be hearing Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash
😮
Can I ask why you transposed this in 2/4 and not 4/4? The conductor is conducting in 4.
I was a bit confused by this too...
Also wondering this... he gave it away
Why is this annotated in 2/4 time? The conductor is clearly doing down-in-out-up 4/4 hand motions.
What makes these transcriptions godly is that I use the volume to exaggerate the crescendos and diminuendos throughout. Give me more FRISSION
Genuine question: Why did you transcribe this in 2/4 when the conductor is in 4/4?
World War III in three days of darkness what fun
DADDY MY GOD
Ye must be born again
At least you can hear the heaven without Laufey, bruh xd
😊
Trumpet players; is it that hard to produce those high notes? He seems to put a lot of effort into it. Sounds amazing, though
Yes, and more. He hit 1 note below the highest I've EVER hit (which was more a squeak than a note tbh), and I'm not a bad trumpet player, and he made it sound incredible. 90% of high school band players couldn't get close to those notes.
@@einsteiner2249 How long have you played trumpet? I’m just curious and love talking to other trumpet players.
nah it’s easy
Thats the thing. He isnt actually putting in that much effort. its just his control that allows him to do it efficiently.
@@hunterward9137 I don't play anymore but I actually started as a french horn in middle school, skipped a few years of band in high school due to no room in my schedule, and then as a junior and senior I swapped between euphonium and trumpet as my band needed it. At my peak I could consistently hit a high C unless my lips were shot, and the highest I dared to hit during pep band was a single high E. It was tough trying to juggle between instruments though lol, it's crazy how different it is to play different members of the brass family when you're used to one mouthpiece, etc. The weird thing is that I've retained most of my range but lost all my stamina, which I found out by playing at a game where my high school invited alumni to play along
Ab Major to B major-that’s why we practice chromatically kids
Johnny sins got a side talent
He gonna teach her how to blow
Why is Louis Dowdeswell able to scream without getting all red?
Why is this transcribed in 2 when it's conducted in 4?
at patriotic america's gates of heaven*
If that is what they play at the gates of heaven then I'd rather go to the other place.
I have no problem with Big Band Jazz, but I expect the entities at Heaven have better taste than to welcome new souls with it.
Which military band is that behind him? I like the uniforms
Too human for the gates of heaven :p
Is there a full video of the entire performance? I've searched but only can find this clip...
This what you hear when you find the Onepiece
I guess the only question I have is why put it in 2 when it’s being conducted in 4?
Good edding how do you get the sheet music?
Williams Cynthia Garcia William Walker Larry
4/4 in half time?
u will hear nothing at the gates of heaven because u will never be there lol
Reminded me of this chap:
ruclips.net/video/gTGsUEF_uxw/видео.html
Cameron Harder Handel, during a perfomance of Blast called "Loss"
Also music that awaits me when i enter Heaven....
I appreciate the technique, but it's not what I'd expect or want to hear. This is music straight out of heaven:
Johannes Brahms - Vier Gesänge, Op. 17 for Female Choir, Horns and Harp (1860)
m.ruclips.net/video/aDOa0Eu1API/видео.html
Why would one transcribe in 2 what the conductor is clearly marking in 4?
Wait it’s transcribed in 2/4 but he’s conducting in 4/4
Cheese.
