As a muslim, all i can say is the detail of adhaan (call of prayer) specifically for fajr prayer is so accurate and even the timing of prayer as well. Well done.

People saying this game is different never played Origins, Odyssey or Valhalla. They literally have the UI of Origins and Valhalla mixed together. The movement/parkour animation and mechanics are EXACTLY Valhalla. The shop is EXACT same as Valhalla's design.
They jsut took those elements and coated them in an an old AC sandbox.
the movement is sped up and uses some new animations the ui part doesn’t really matter and the shop argument is fair

I’m playing unity right now and I’m not liking this one’s combat. Unity is so fluid and depends on parrying. And the variety of stealth kills here doesn’t seem like a lot

@@uzackithat’s literally what every “AC fan” complains about combat and parkour. They say that parkour is bad because you can 1 shot all your enemies by parrying and killing them or dropping a smoke bomb and assassinating everyone in your vicinity. The complain that parkour is bad because it uses less buttons now but complained about the older games because they sucked and using the controls these mfs can’t be pleased.
I gotta say: The gameplay looks phenomenal, and Lee Majdoub sounds AWESOME as Basim!
this is game is not impressing me at all. it looks like origin with arabic costumes and music and a bit different fight style. but basically everything is the same as in other games. the graphics are also not really 2023 more like 2018

Parkour is like Origins as well as the city layout, they basically copy and pasted the layout of the Egypt cities just one big city now lol miss the old game maps where they actually put alot of parkour stuff in the cities.

can't say i'm a fan of the voice acting for the main character, but all else is good. I do wish there was some better parkour and possibly hood toggling like in valhalla, but other than that, it's a great looking game.
All the voice actors are absolute crap. They are more interested in casting "diverse" people that in finding great voice actors.
I feel nostalgia for a modern game.

My husband is playing Valhalla and I've been grumbling the entire time because it's not a real Assassin's Creed to me. Mirage is the last chance I give this series, and so far it looks fantastic ❤
Your husband is dumb. Valhalla is not an ac game. Its a viking game. I gave up giving the series a chance after odyssey its all bad. I dont feel those feelings i had with unity the others. Since that feeling is gone , that era is dead and now on it will be just mediocre and just selling like they did the last 4 years. I am very disappointed with the series they just can't impress or draw me anymore.

18:13 My God...they actuallly played the accurate Adhaan (call to prayer) according to the TIME. (in the end, you can hear "assalathu khairum minnan naum" Meaning " praying is better than sleeping")...which coincides perfectly with the dawn timing in the game.

Assasin creed is back. haven't played since Alteir . The Middle East always seemed the best setting.
I am not sure about this game, the combat mechanics seem a step back compared to previous ones. Plus the dialogue and interaction with vendors etc. is also a step back. This doesn't look like a next gen game.

If only this game was made 5 years ago then I would be more forgiving, the game just looks OK. Cutscenes from AC Revelations still look better than this, lol.
This isn't a jump like AC Revelations to AC 3, It just looks like Valhalla Stripped down with a new map, Story and old assets that they didn't bother to change or make look good.
Is that bad, not really but I would have preferred innovation over re-using assets for the 5th time now.
Here I'll give an example, How about proning to allow Basim to Crawl under places and stay hidden at a Distance, Bringing back Running Assassinations from AC3, or something like that.

The game looks like a 6/10 experience. I'm glad they added back old features and made a game about assassins, but the overall game looks too similar to the newer AC games. Also the story and graphics are both subpar. I was expected something much more cinematic
* My biggest gripe is that it doesn't feel different enough.
Ubisoft cannot seem to get away from this Disney Channel sort of dialogue, completely sanitized and devoid of emotion or meaning. All the ambiance they made with this beautiful scenario goes straight out the gutter as soon as you witness such pathetic writing. Even Altaïr with an american accent in the first AC had more flow.

I dont have anything against the parkour or the Movement in valhalla so its not an issue for me that they kinda reused it, after all this was gonna be a DLC for Valhalla at first. But it would've been cool to see a movement system more like unity in this game. They say Basim is the fastest assassin yet. He would look even more fast if they didnt use a Clunky Viking's parkour and movement system.

I've pre ordered the deluxe edition of this. I'm glad they kept a story to it. That's what has always kept me playing it, from way back in the day. I think it was ps2 when I started playing it. On assassins creed. The first one. I love open world games like this. Especially in third person. I don't care much for first person games. Never have.

AC 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage and Jade have health bars. If health bars are an issue, then every game with Ezio is also a deviation from AC's roots.
@@RaRmAn For the life of me, I vaguely remember seeing health bars, in Altair or Ezio trilogy. I was killing my enemies AIs so fast in those games, I never noticed.
@@ShiftNova AC 1 doesn't have them. AC 2 started it, but it wasn't actually a bar, they had small versions of those diamond icons Ezio had for his health. Brotherhood had diamonds as well and Revelations had small bars above enemies. They could be disabled in settings, so maybe you had them off or you just forgot, it's been over a decade since AC2 and a tiny health bar is not something memorable.

They most probably picked Baghdad as an experiment as a smaller location to not mess up a bigger and main one like India or china. I see they are afraid they dont have the ability anymore. They are afraid to make big AC games nowadays.
they should've made it 12th century. and introduced the mongols and the invasion of baghdad. it would be epic. a new turn totally.

Pickpocketing, eavesdropping, more of a city structure for parkour, wanted levels.
@GHOST83I the only magic I've seen is the teleporting, which I heard was because of an "animus glitch". I get it, it's "magical", but have you seen the series? There's magical beings that created magical objects (apple of eden, staff of eden, etc). Not completely back to roots but it's still a step in the right direction
@GHOST83I I understand that, I just mean there was always magic in the games, albeit it was only magic because of the magic items, not an ability an assassin has. Hopefully in the next game it'll be more assassin like and they remove all the nonsense

as good as this looks, it’s still suffering from Ubisoft syndrome… UI is still straight out of Origins/FarCry, faces are expressionless, body language is nonexistent, ropes and sheets you walk on are made out of steel and don’t bend or give… NPCs had reactions and emotions in AC1.
that said, the voice acting is still top notch, even though Kong needs to lay off the “little finch” talk, it was like a nervous tic lol
Same clunky and repetitive jumping roof to roof and ledge to ledge animations. Very good job for copy paste to previous trash AC games. Ubitrash never gonna learn how must parkour be like Unity. They did not even add some different jumping animations/variations. They did for vault and it has different animations but that's it. Others still bit off and junk.
unity was the reason we got rpg no one liked it when it came out plus syndicate does not have same level of parkour but is still good
