I've waited this stuff for a long time! and its finally arrived. I'm reviewing my first reactions to the Logitech G Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel. I have the others, but one at a time. I have to confess, I've known about these flight panels for some years, Saitek used to own them, and there were issues with USB 2 and people on the forums where complaining about the installation process. But no more! The logic just works on this device! Thankfully it works fine with USB 3, no issues there. I'm happy, at last, I bought this hardware! (Please note : I am not associated with Logitech in anyway).

Is what you say that makes me stick around. Also great job on showing where and what to get. My sorry ass couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work in X-Plane 11 after reading the manual...

Yes - Compared to the radio and multi panel, this switch panel is expensive, I still bought it :)

I bought the logitech flight switch panel for plane 11 on my MacBook Pro.
I did not know this but Logitech does not do downloads for macOS. Why not??
Succinct, informative and entertaining.....as always. I've been hesitant (actually struggling) to purchase any controls such as this thinking that once I go VR, they will be useless. Do you use VR as well from time to time?
I do Jack, I think VR is great! But you are right, you have to remember where the switches are with muscle memory... I'll let you know how I get on! The HOTAS is great for that in DCS world.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but whether I have VR or not, which I don't (yet), by the way, I'll always prefer hardware equipment with buttons and switches that I can feel and touch. Plus it looks bloody good in the set-up!
Hey man! Great video! Just purchased this yesterday but I was wondering if you can map the switches? Some payware aircraft won’t let the switch panel do its job so to speak... so I want to know if I could actually go in and change the buttons manually, but I can’t find it no where! Much love!

Just a tip for the future...
... USB is a backwards compatible standard. So, USB 3.X can do everything before it. But, it's not forward compatible. So, USB 2.0 (for example) can't run USB 3.0 devices, but can run USB 1.X devices.
I hope that's clear. :)
For most of the cases USB3.0 device will run with USB 2.0 host, using this backwards compatibility, exceptions being devices that really need the bandwidth. Rest will run, just slower.

Did you stick it down with 3m tape or what else did you do as I remove my my flight sim gear from my desk when playing other games and don't know what to do about this as I want It to be sturdy and not on top of my yoke.

I downloaded the one for fsx but I use fsx steam edition. People keep saying install spad which is bullcrap. Is there an easier way to do this? If yes please link me.

Yes Plychucky, all the panels attach to the Saitek yoke! Saitek was bought by Logitech I believe.

Wish I was able to set this up to other games other than just X-plane 11 or FSX. I wanted to set it up to DCS and Arma 3 but couldn't sadly....
There may be some guy out there that made a mod for DCS?
Works perfectly in DCS. You need to use DCSFlightPanels. Which incidentally will let you map the switches to any keyboard press to work with lots of other games too.

How the heck do yo used it up to fsx steam edition?
Guys, a desperate X-Plane sim pilot here. How do you map your own commands to the switches? I’ve been able to download and run premade sets, but haven’t been able to do my own as I can’t find the commands myslef :(

@@GripperSim Unfortunately SPAD seems to be the only real solution for these products. It's like Logitech doesn't want to support the products really. My Saitek radio panel would refuse to display the transponder code. Then when I switched to Windows 10 it straight up refused to work period. But with SPAD I like that I can make it do whatever I want. Sure it's an additional cost but if you really like flight sim, it's a great tool for control mapping and panel control.
There is a problem with the 747 as it doesn't work with it for me, when I flick any of the master switches the game crashes..
Apart from that its perfect

Hi Everyone!
I am aware that USB 3 is backward compatible with USB 2 etc. Years ago I was informed that the then, Saitek Panel, had to be USB 2 ONLY, this has either been fixed by Logitech, or I was missinformed all those years ago. Either way, I'll take all the feedback on the chin! I'm only learning too. But it works fine, just ignore my error with the USB confusion in the video.

Can I Configure the switches in the XP11 settings?
No Diplex, but there is software you can get to configure it if you wish, I can't remember the name of it right now, but google "Saitek panel configuration" and it should come up. I've not every had the need to change the controls as it works for each aircraft nicely! : )
I just got it for Christmas. When I plugged it in it didn’t work, so I downloaded the software for it on the Logitech website. I opened it but it never gave instructions like the website said. After it opened and I accepted some things it said “finish” and that was it. I unplugged it during the download like the website said. Could someone help?

I'm not sure what you expected for the money....everything saitek makes feels like a childs toy....and to use any other material other than plastic would be much more expensive
