    Hi Ann,
    I work in HR and recruit for Sonographers/RN's/HC professionals in the medical device (Cardiology) industry. Your channel is awesome and I love watching it to help myself understand the day to day of certain HCP roles.
    Thanks for all that you do :)

    I just graduated as a cardiac sonographer. Associates degree, was no reason to get the bachelors because the pay won’t make a difference. No lie this is a hard modality and I’ve cried so many times lol

      @Aaliyah Ferreira hey Aaliyah, first you wanna figure out which sonography modality you want to go into. I determined mine by watching a lot of RUclips and being on google. Then look into the pay and jobs. So to answer you questions …General ultrasound, OB/GYN ultrasound have a lot of job opportunities; however, I don’t know the pay but I have heard it’s less than cardiac sonography which is what I’m into. Cardiac sonography jobs are over saturated and can be a lil hard to find a job unless you are willing to move or travel, or you can wait around for a job to pop up, which they will. My modality starting pay in wisconsin is about $32 per/hr. The south pays wayyyyy lessss! Hope this helps

    Hi I'm from Boston as well, and I'm currently working on graduating from my MA program in 2 months, but I also have plans on going to back school to become a general sonographer. I planned out taking the prerequisite classes this same year during the fall and spring semesters. I'm so excited to start my journey working in healthcare and sonography has definitely something that im super excited about learning.

    Thank you so much for this video, I'm currently on my last a&p class to get my AS in science. It is a lot of schooling, and the classes are very hard, especially chemistry and A&P, thankfully my physics professor was easy, however it does require a lot work put in. For anyone wondering, cardiac sonography is more advance than diagnostic sonography.

    hi i wanted to ask is cardio sonographer harder to become then other sonographers .... how to become a cardio sonographer do you learn it in sonography school or do you have to do extra specialization or something in it after school

    • @courtneyn4157
      @courtneyn4157 2 года назад

      Nope cardiac sonography is within sonography school so it is a separate major than general or diagnostic medical sonography. Both programs can be taken to earn your associates or bachelors sometimes masters but it is rare for sonography

      Hey Aaliyah. You’re actually in the same boat I am in. I am also in a cardiovascular sonography program and want to do neuro whenever I get out. turns out the ARDMS discontinued the neuro specialty exam in I think 2017 or 2018. You can still become one, but you’ll have to cross train and shadow someone so they can sign off for you to become a neurographographer. let me say it is quite hard to find workers who are specializing in this field just because they discontinued it but is not impossible.

      You learn general, OBGYN and vascular in sonography school since it’s the most common kinds. At least the schools I’ve looked into that’s what you learn. Then you can get specializations I believe.

    • @estefaniarodelo7152
      @estefaniarodelo7152 3 года назад +1

      I believe that the majority of school have pre-requisite classes that you must take before you apply to schools. The schools that I looked into accept people with bachelors degrees that are not in science but they expect people to have also taken classes like anatomy, medical terminology, physiology, and physics to name a few. Classes may vary depending which school you’re interested in. I Hope this helps ! :)

      Absolutely 🤗 worth it ...you can specialize in Adult,Peds,Fetal Echo and/or all 3... but keep in mind you'll be focused on 1 organ (most people want to see a variety of organs so they do the general track ). Hope this helps ☺️
