Don't forget that the first-generation C Record was also friction, but an add-on cable adjuster was available, if you wanted to use syncro shifters.
I've had one of these in my parts bin for almost forever.
Wow, what a beautiful collection. I'm a rear derailleur collector and enthusiast. I love the old Campy stuff.
Thank you.
@@OnRoadVintageBikes Which old Campy rear derailleur is your favorite?
@@jonathan19947 Super Record of course.
@@OnRoadVintageBikes oh. I didn't know that it was your favorite. That's why I asked.
On the 1979 Super record derailleur, ( @ 2:34 ), the inside pulley cage piece is not installed correctly....It's upside down.
Yes , you're right , someone probably sold it to me like this , but don't worry I mounted it correctly on the bike. Thank you for the comment.
CAMPAGNOLO 👍👍❤❤
Wow, noticed that one of the Super Records on a blue bike had hollow pivot pins. Rare! There's an immaculate, perfect Super Record rear derailleur just hanging around in a box in the parts room where I work. I think the boss leaves jewels like that around to test staff honesty. I don't care- I just bought the cleanest, full Nuovo Record , un- repainted, red cromovelato, Columbus SL Italian bicycle that I've seen since the 80's, when I lusted after them as a poor young bike head. I have eyes for only one girl right now.
Like made to measure for me too!
1985 bike, Pat 84 rear derailleur, 85 dated cranks, so numbers all match so far. Haven't checked hub locknuts and cones yet. Bearings perfect- won't touch until need to.
Thanks for watching! And enjoy your bike!
Very nice. I lusted after them as a teenager.
Me too!
The one with the brass parts is one I’ve never seen before. Probably on the heavy side I’d imagine.
I didn't know it either. A few years ago, I told my girlfriend to bring me some vintage parts from a trip from the USA (joking). And she brought me the two oldest Rear Derailleurs... so that's love
Wow, lucky guy. Those brass parts would look cool polished up.
Alguien en español que me colaboré cuanto puede costar el cambio nuovo record campagnolo patent 79 muchas gracias
50-80 Euro?
no super record the best......never......the SIMPLEX SLJ 6600 aérodynamic...used by Bernard Hinault,Lemond,Fignon....
Functionally it was probably better, but not in terms of beauty. Thank you for watching the video.
