Man this is gold. Thank you!
Thanks!
These videos are excellent. Ive watched all of them so far. Thank you for your effort and sharing your knowledge. You pull wicked sounds.
Cheers for the comment mate! Appreciate you watching and taking the time to let me know what you think! Thanks heaps!
nice! a bit of mix buss compression to help it tuck into the mix nicely and call it a day
Sounds good to me 🤩
This is an amazing trick, maybe this works with toms in a similar way?
I don’t see why not! Would definitely make the Tom’s slap!
The SPL is a feedback compressor I guess.
5:04 fast attack fast release? I'm confused
The compressor is reacting quickly to compressor the signal and release it. Gives it an aggressive quality
@@spinlightstudios Hey, thanks for the reply! I'm confused because you said "fast attack, fast release" but turned both knobs to the max. Anyways it sounds great
That’s how an 1176 compressor works - turning the knobs to the right is faster attack and release times :)
There's a key step 1: start with a well recorded snare!
Of course! Good drummer + well recorded source makes life much easier!
sound like too much snare like it sits on top of everything but pulling down fader after the processing be fine.
Easy. Adjust volume to taste!
