    • @lilbitscandalus
      @lilbitscandalus 3 года назад +1

      The solution is cyanide
      ‼️As a *chemist I know the formula* for most of the jewelery cleaners. The main ingredient is *cyanide* which is very dangerous solution. So *chemistry behind this in process* is..when metal ( gold, platinum,silver) is dipped in to cyanide solution, along with the dirt the metal also starts to disintegrate or leach out.. that means the *top layer of the metal in very small amount (macro) melt into the solution* . *AND THE FUN PART: * After many washes the jeweler puts Zinc into the solution which makes *reverse reaction* and gold particals attach together (excluding the dirt) and particals of *pure gold is extracted illegally by the jeweler* . So he gets extra 💰💸
      And if you want to maintain the weigh of your jewelry please do not clean your jewelry as frequent as that person said, *ideal cleaning should be done after 1 or 2 years* .

    • @Alsry1
      @Alsry1 3 года назад

      @@lilbitscandalus explaination check out, however, there is a lot of error in terminology. Macro means on a big scale, the word you’re looking for is micro. Additionally, the reaction does not reverse, the ions are reduced which is a completely different reaction from when the metal dissolves into the solution which is an oxidation reactions. Lastly, recovery of precious metals here is most definitely not illegal.

    The super impressive shots with just tons of sediment pouring off the pieces is simply the built up polish residue left behind from the buffing wheels.

    Take a pan and line it with aluminum foil. Pour boiling water in the pan leaving room for the largest piece you want to clean. Add 1 table spoon of baking soda per quart of water. Dip your ring, silverware, any thing you want to clean and it will shine. The action of the tin foil and backing soda makes tarnish leave your item. If you have a lot to do make new batch periodically. Cleans without polishing off metal.

      Skip the solution and just buy the largest ultrasonic cleaner you need. 96% of the work done is by the machine 3% buffing and 1% is solution that can be basically any anti fat solition like dish soap or windex or whatever you have on hand. In order to break the water surface tension basically.
      Back in the days however there were cancerogen substance in the ultrasonic cleaner but it got a world wide ban due to cancers.

      It will damage aluminium, but it is absolutely fantastic for cleaning any stainless steel kitchen fume hood filters! Just put the greasy metal filter in a pot with enough water to cover it and some sodium bicarbonate, and boil until clean. It works pretty miraculously even for old caked in grease.
