Once i understood this, this extremely accelerated my shooting ability even with iron sights. Most folks that are serious about teaching are into dot shooting but not a lot out there for the new folks with irons. Excellent demo for confirmation levels
Pretty much everything Ben teaches about small spot target focus shooting translates well to black rear/fiber front irons assuming your sight alignment is pretty subconscious
@@noah.s95exactly true. I don’t use a red dot (cause I haven’t bought one yet) and I have switched to target focus with iron sights. Works slick, but it’s years of shooting with irons so the blurry sights being aligned is subconscious for me
Ben, I have a question about calling shots (receiving feedback from the dot streak/movement) I pretty much never see the dot move during the shot cycle, I see red in the spot I’m looking at and send the shot. Is it possible to “hyper focus” on the target to the point of ignoring the dot movement on the shot cycle? And do I even need to see what the dot is doing? This is something I can’t find any info on…
I don't know if it counts as ironic or not, but odds are in a life-saving situation you'll forget... everything... and fall back to point/index shooting.
Definitely a great way to see your limits and how to adjust technique to accomplish your desired outcome. Gonna have to try this next range day. Thanks Ben!
If we got Stoeger and Reid Heinrichs together we would be half way to having a wicked 80s hair metal band.
Didn't think id see these two names in the same sentence but I agree. lol
Lol 😂
What a great time to be alive, so much information is available to learn and explore via RUclips

This comment is for everyone else here who realizes Bens indexing groups are as tight as your slow fire groups which 100% includes me 😅😅😅

Golden, as always! Thank you very much Ben!
Thanks again for doing this Ben!!
I know this stuff is for competition but I can’t help but feel this red dot advice can save someone’s life
It’s not just for competition. Confirmations and reactive shooting go hand in hand with engagements in any shootings.

@@chairmanbrando you’ll fall back on what you practice. that’s how it happened for me
Hi Ben, great Video as always! Can I ask at what yardage do you serial your handguns?

It was at this moment that I realized our friend Ben is a fellow brother of the spectrum ❤

You carry a hellcat
The only reason Ben can do this is STACCATO. Completely impossible to do this with a Glock.
You are either joking or you've never seen him shoot his Glocks
It's true, I was the Glock
Hahahahaha. Tell me you’re joking so we don’t think you’re silly. It’s completely doable with a Glock

If you’re trolling that’s hilarious, if you’re not- you should study his videos thoroughly 👍
