Here in Australia, a bus licence and a heavy rigid truck licence are one and the same, namely a HR licence. There is an additional authorisation required if you intend to carry passengers which is police background checks but it has nothing to do with the practical driving test and licence. Again, they are exactly the same licence as there really isn't much difference. The UK have simply been milking the system for years by making you take 2 seperate tests for a bus and a rigid truck.
Hi mate, great video very informative thanks. Are you planning on doing a step by step video on how to get your HGV license and the costs that each step occurs (for class 1 and 2 and also for class 1 straight from a car license)? Would be very useful, cheers.
Hi mate, thanks for watching. And yes, of course I will. Infact I will make this either the next video or the one after. As you say, lots of people will benefit from it. Best wishes pal.
The problem I found that is that most employers (not agency) want 2 years experience. In the end i looked for 7.5t work and now that after a year of 7.5t driving. When i look for class 2 work, some wages are a lot lower that what I earn now.
