Teachers work hard to ensure inclusive practices in education during students’ school years. But what happens when students leave high school? In this session teachers will learn how to engage families in the process of planning for an inclusive postsecondary life and understand parents’ perspectives during transition to adulthood. Parents Helping Parents will share tips and resources to help teachers (and parents) build a robust transition plan which incorporates inclusive practices outside of the classroom to ensure inclusion follows youth into further education, employment, and independent living.
