Great interview Andy. Bjorn blew me away with his quiet humility and his vast tennis IQ. Maddie was glowing. Maddie’s victory and her journey to get there has been life changing to witness. She’s made a big impact on me. Beautiful couple.

I'm an aussie, and always go psycho for the AO every january.
I watched in full, all of maddies games, and stayed up to late for the finals games, and honestly, its some of the most entertaining tennis i've watched in a while.
Many many times in all those games, she could have folded mentally in tough moments against quality players, and she didnt. Even when she had unforced errors at important moments, she shook it off and just trusted herself and her ability. It was really amazing to watch and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Congratulations to her and her husband on an unbelievable job

I'm not even through listening, but I can already declare your talk with Bjorn Frantangelo one of the best sports interviews I have ever heard. Candid, substantive, and incredibly interesting. Great job. I'm looking forward to finishing this episode. A.R. you do a wonderful job with this podcast.

Wow what an awesome pair of interviews. It’s so rare to see athletes/coaches be so excited to open up like this. Madi and Bjorn are such admirable and inspiring people. This has been my favorite sports result in years, so cool.
Thanks Andy for everything you’re doing for NC, I have family in the area and it’s so appreciated. I remember going to my grandmom’s tennis club when I was ten and hearing that you’d been there and I was devastated that I hadn’t gotten a chance to see you

Thank you for the phenomenal content, Andy! You don’t get enough credit for trusting that the recreational tennis community has the intelligence and passion to engage with in-depth, technical discussions like this.
I can only imagine how many doubted whether there was a large enough audience for such deep content when you started your podcast. But you believed in the public’s capacity to appreciate high-quality analysis-and you were right. Your podcast and its community embody the spirit of the famous Field of Dreams quote: ‘If you build it, they will come.’

Great interview with Bjorn. Now I can see why Maddie will marry him. He's such a great guy, wow! I've never seen Andy speechless ha! He met his match. Bjorn is brilliant and so good for Maddie. I hope Coco's coaches are listening to this interview. Congratulations Maddie, you and Bjorn will win many more tournaments. Now about Bergs, he is so aggressive and should have been disqualified for body slamming his opponent. That's just crazy that they allowed him to keep playing. Bergs assaulted his opponent and they allowed him to keep playing. Shame on the Umpire and player.

Man this was great conversations with Bjorn and Madison. Been following Bjorn's journey for years and thoroughly enjoyed listening to him discuss his relationship with tennis and Madison. As soon as Madison came on screen, I beamed with happiness for her. Both so honest and vulnerable. Once again, great job Andy and Team. I could have listened for another 2 hours.

Andy, thank you so much for coming to Asheville! That was such a special event. We really appreciate the time you and the others took to help us out. Things have been so hard for the region since Helene and you not only helped moved our recovery forward but also provided a great afternoon of entertainment. My kids were in awe watching you, Andre, Emma, and Jessica hit and it’s been a life-long dream of mine to see you and Andre in person.

Best interview so far! Loved watching Maddie go through the rounds, and was a nervous wreck in the semis/finals. She played powerfully, and beautifully! And I felt like I won too, because she is so relatable! What she did crosses over to the everyday person in how to navigate life in good times and bad times. Congrats Bjorn, Maddie and team! God bless you all on the rest of the season!

Andy, the thing I respect most about you is not what you achieved as a player but how you stood up for fellow players during your career. Your podcast is top notch and I hope that you will have the enthusiasm and energy to continue for a long time to come. Tennis players at all levels know what it feels like to succumb to doubts and Madison's win was a win for us all in the sense that she became an example of what is possible when you believe in yourself. Tremendous win and amazing interview. Keep it up, both of you.

From Italy: I watched the whole match and Madison was SPLENDIDA ! :-D I was witnessing her usual high power but with a wisdom and calmness new to me. If it was going to last she would prevail. And then the last points ...same attitude, til the latest moments.. WOW she's going to make it she's going to make ...and I loved she made it. She always had that great smile that SIMPATICA attitude she so deserved it . I was so happy. BUT thing is IT DID NOT HAPPEN BY CHANCE SHE MADE IT HAPPEN. Such a powerful display of willingness and expert execution. She made a mastepiece really.
Her super powerful shots unleashed only when it was the right moment. I seems easy but it's not. Equilibrium , balance is the most difficult excercise. Well done guys well done Bjorn the whole story is so moving.
    CLAP CLAP CLAP 👏👏👏👏👏👏 BRAVISSIMI.

The way Bjorn was talking about the drop shot stuff sort of endears him towards junior development. The larger picture of winning slams is the details on developing the game to win rather than focusing on the results. Great chat to watch, tonnes of great info. Keep it coming Andy.

In addition to that, even though he is such a student of the game, and super knowledgeable; he is not afraid to admit when he doesn’t know or isn’t the best at a particular something. For example, lowering Maddie’s ball toss.
Amazing! Couldn’t be more thrilled for them both, especially Madison getting that GS!

A guy with your baggage and experience it would be very easy to slip to your own experiences and make it be about yourself, but you never fall in the trap. Great, thoughtful questions, respect for your guests and humility. You show as much talent doing this as inside the court. Utmost respect and admiration for you (as well as Maddie and Bjorn)! This is what I have been saying all along and people have dismissed it…the right racquet will be an extension of your body….and you have to try different racquets out….same goes for tension….its a fun journey….don’t have to buy many racquets…ask the store to try out…after you think the balance is right buy it and then start tinkering with the tension. Fwiw.

Back in the 80s The World Snooker championship was on BBC 2 just before Wimbledon and became immensly popular for a low budget sporting event. Subsequently it was massively saturated on other channels and died a death. Do not expect people to act in the best interests of the sport.
