New Film adaptation - MISANTHROPOS - www.misanthropos.net - Timon of Athens - Shakespeare on Film!

The greatest radio adaptation ever. I love it. I heard it in three parts on the CBC radio in 1995.
John Gielgud, Kenneth branagh, the best verse speakers!
Overall my favorite performance of the piece. There are at least six Lears in it. Besides Sir John, Briers, Stephens, Russell Beale, Jacobi and Branagh had played or went on to play the role. Quilley may have played it and Michell had it offered to him more than once.
I've done some listening/watching of Lear here on YT and this one is still my favorite. K. Michelle does Kent like no other.
Should you be familiar with the character of Odo from ST:DS9 and M.Bison of the Street Figter movie then look up King Mufasa's Lear to see the two duel as Edgar and Edmund😂
Emma Thompson. Here she's Cordelia, in 2018 she's Goneril. She can do anything.
Not a favorite of mine but the cast are stellar.
