Joking aside this was a great part of the DivKid's West Coast Adventure (playlist below) in Portland, Oregon. I had chance to go meet Randall, have him perform, run down his live and studio set up and sit down for an interview about influences, backgrounds etc.
If you support on Patreon you have a bonus interview video which you can access here - / exclusive-with-34353370 there's also an uncut performance from this video here too - / exclusive-uncut-34413243

    I'm putting this for reference
    guitar pedal order:
    volume
    Donner Deluxe looper
    EHX Pitchfork octave
    ProCo RAT distortion
EHX Nano Big Muff Pi distortion/fuzz (not mentioned)
    AC Noises AMA reverb
    Mooer Mod Factory modulation
    Digitech Digidelay digital delay
Ibanez DL 10 digital delay (old 80s pedal, he said it's analog delay??)
    TC Electronic Ditto x2 looper
    Boss DD-7 digital delay
    Strymon Blue Sky reverb
oh, and there's a tuner near the end.
stickers made it difficult to id the pedals

Isn't that a Caline Reverb, above the OP1 ? Own one, it's dope reverb pedal, and it's really cheap. Edit : oh, he mentionned it in the video, I didn't get to that point before commenting. :)

That was really cool... heading to Amulets’ channel for more now. I remember Alexis verbs being popular among folks on Harmony Central KSS back in the day. Now plugin devs try to mimic the sound of older things like that and even older things from before.

    • @noesunyoutuber7680

Early ambient records were all made by studio nerds like Eno, so those rackmount Alesis units were their bread and butter. Not really feasible or cost-effective to shrink the hardware down to pedal sizes, but an entirely digital emulation...

I just discovered you yesterday and have watched a number of your videos, nice and interesting. I AM into more synths and of course I use a DAW. You have given me ideas to use with samples and samplers instead of tape machines. I really like ambient. You are lucky to live in Portland, seems like there is a big music scene there.

Thanks Rose, I don't live in Portland (Amulets does) but was visiting as part of a wider trip of the Pacific Northwest back in 2019. I didn't see enough of Portland to comment much but certainly lots of good people around.
Glad to hear this has given you some ideas for working with samples and interpreting things in your own way. I hope that works out well.

And also the efects for the 414 loops are routed through the effects senda in the porta ?

@@Rose_Arcana it's not just that... there's plenty of gear no one cares about until a youtube channel says, "why does no one care about this??!!". There's tons of cheap gear that's good.
