    I've never seen a video moment like the one eight minutes in where he shows the progression of a simple Moog sequence into a swirling wash of sound...and I'm like "Yep, that's exactly how Tycho sounds." A rare peak into the technique of a producer. Thank you.

      Bro, let's theorize! It looks like a teensy 4 microcontroller mounted on a custom stack fab enclosure. The key layout is a satisfying ortholinear. I have no idea what kind of keycaps those are, but I imagine they are low profile switches due to how shallow the keypress depth is. I imagine it's hand soldered because of how close they keys are.

    • @jamesm601
      @jamesm601 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@Alkatross Thanks! Great detail here to get started. I would seriously pay money for this unit, along with the reaper actions/scripts/etc. for each function. Been looking for something like this for ages, but it seems like the Reaper market just isn't big enough for the big hardware players to make something like this.

    This is like a dream studio. I think most musicians have exactly his idea, everything should be easily accessible, turn on and just play. Along with Boards of Canada and Casino vs Japan--the attention to the sculpting of the sounds Scott uses is so creative, warm and transporting.
