Watch a full tutorial as a 2004 Mazda 3 will have a new Pioneer Bluetooth radio installed. We will be using the Pioneer DEH-S410BT single din radio. This unit install adds Bluetooth, AUX, USB, AM/FM, CD, and enhanced power output for better sound quality. Note this Mazda was not equipped with the factory Bose amplified sound system. If you do have Bose, please see the part notes mentioned below.
This video applies to Mazda 3 models for years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. This video also includes dash trim and stereo removal, radio wiring, and installation.

If you don’t have a heat gun just use a lighter on low- medium low flame and go back and forth under it, turn it halfway to the other side and repeat. Did this for my headlights, may seem like a no brainer but just in case y’all didn’t know ❤
Question, could I bypass the steering wheel controls and just buy the simple wiring harness and still be able to use the radio?

Hi. I also have the 2008 Mazda 3. My radio has the Key 1 Key 2 wire. Don’t know where in the harness should I attach it. Please help. Someone told me the grey middle wire but when I do it it shuts my radio off.

hey , Great video! this is my exact car , and I was hoping to do the exact upgrade, however im wondering how can i keep the lcd screen? i just dont like the look of the console without it saw photos of upgrades that kept theirs any help? thanks!
The Scosche Kit MA1536B Allows you to keep the LCD screen. It only will show the clock.
How do I know which wires to connect? The wiring harness did not come with instructions. Do I connect the same colour to the same colour?

Few thing I need help with. I bought a poineer avh 501 ex, and it's not turning I've done all the correct connections between the harness and the adapter, I have no clue what to do with the power antenna wire though? And also the parking break wire, is that going to be needed?

Wire the blue wire from the harness to the red switched power wire. It’s for a power antenna. So it’s always best to wire to your red wire. When you say it’s not turning do you mean not powering on at all or it’s powering on but no sound? This happened to me. If your Mazda has a Bose system, they have a factory amplifier. MAKE SURE you hook that blue/white striped wire from the harness to the remote wire of the stereo. Or whichever one is the amp trigger wire. That will turn on the amplifier when you turn the key on. I had a nightmare install that I had to tear back out because I missed that wire. So Mazda Bose owners. DO NOT FORGET to hook up the blue/white wire! Hard lesson learned.

Hey I have a 2007 Mazda 3 with bose premium sound
And I’m putting im putting in a kenwood doub din but I seem to have a problem I get no sound out the speakers but stereo turns on and everything just no sound
you may need to hook up the blue / white wire to trigger the bose amp to turn on.

I got all the parts and everything I need. The SWC module caused my taillights to go out. I haven't figured out how to fix it, and honestly I'm considering going without the module completely to get my taillights back. I'm tired of being pulled over
