I get the blower off my 1967 GM 4107 bus on the bench for tear down and inspection The blower is seized for some reason and I’m digging in to find out why
It looks like dye penatrant from the kit to check for cracks. You spray the red penatrant on and in theory the dye will penatrate a crack. Then you clean the dye off and spray a developer on th show the crack by pulling out the dye in the crack. Best guess.
The smell described screams marvels mystery oil, but the balance of those rotors is important to consider.
Man I got nervous when you picked up the hammer. 🤣
Our 471 blower was stuck I fixed it with a can of pb blaster , piece of 2x4 and a decent size hammer its running good now
where did you shoot the pb blaster
either a balancing fluid or a cooling fluid
Man that looks like the thought spray as far as the color but how can that get in there. Super strange
What in the world???? Is it to keep ice from building up on rotors
Did you figure out what the red stuff was? Could it have been to balance the rotors?
Kevin,
Nope....
But it’s all gone now
