Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher Beeping 3 Times

- My Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher is beeping. When you start it up the dishwasher beeps and flashes for five minutes. Only the top rack gets clean, the bottom rack gets mostly clean. No idea what the problem is with it but I'd like it fixed or repaired. The specific model of this dishwasher is Samsung DW80J9945US Stainless Top Control 24" Tall Tub Built-In Waterwall Dishwasher DW80J9945US/AA. Bought it from Best Buy in 2016 and had them install it.

Ok, old video but I got here because my Samsung did the same. Top of the line, 30 days old, the one with linear washing. 3 beeps and wont wash.
That because after trying to drain still water inside it. Could be clog in the drain hose, OR, in my case, the wife removed the filter to clean it (or thats what she thought) and installed it back improper (loose). I'm not sure if food got into the pump or the dishwasher does not drain properl;y without the filter installed.
I installed it correctly, I filled inside the dishwasher with water (by hand) and "cancel" the wash, so will show 1 minute and will drain. It drained the water and then started a new program and worked.
leaving this here in case that helps anybody
Same issue, seems as if it was an obstruction issues. Pot handle was hitting back wall and wasn’t closing the unit properly. Removed pot and rearranged my sons mess and machine is working fine now. Check for obstruction with the three beep error signal.
This video save me $$$. Just like everyone else. Damn spoon was poking out not allowing the machine to work. Thanks!
Exactly the problem I encountered today!
Removing a utensil on the upper rack that was blocking the rotor beneath it fixed this for me
I had a red piece from the bottom slider obstructing the water wall. Took it off of the front of the basket and it works now
nice.Thanks for helping
Sure enough A dish slipped out of the lower basket
Issue fixed. Thanks!!
If nothing is poking out then just let it beep for roughly 10 minutes and it will start washing. Worked for me anyway
Mine does this, sorta...keeps trying to run then flashes/beeps. No explanation/no obstruction. However after 10mins it does start and run a cycle based on my specifications..... 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe this will help someone
1:25 the tragedy happens.
I have exactly the same dishwasher and exactly the same problem. Eventually it starts but the bottom rack is badly cleaned.
Turns out it was a pair of chopsticks that were put in with the forks and spoons. It was blocking the lower washbar. Working great now.
Same here. Samsung products are junk. My new microwave broke AND I had to change the ice maker in my fridge also. Complete garbage
@@oatmealdog how do you fix the issue
@@mazenelsiss4023 don't know.
I wouldn't say garbage. All of the brands with similiar tech have the same issues. They resolved the issues in future models so guess we should have waited until they worked out all of the bugs. My four door flex fridge still looks fancy even after 6 years. ;)
Same! I wish I never bought all 4 appliances from Samsung! My ice maker is broke & it’s only 3 yrs old
Mine did the same. Beeped 3 times, checked everything. Reset the system, still the same issue. Just left it like that, it beeped 3 times for around 5-6 times and started functioning normally after that.
Hope this helps someone.
Did you get this issue fixed? Mine is doing something similar
No, after contacting Samsung they said they would have to replace the arm and the cost wasn't worth it. I bought a new dishwasher.
Thank you a ton my dishwasher doing same thing I was about to burn this mf lol but I had straws in the lower basket that were going through the bottom when I removed them it started working fine smh 😅
Same thing happened to me. So this happenes when the rotor arms are stuck so if you have long spoons or spatulas remove it and then run.
Thank you !!!! This happened to me and checked if anything was in the way and you were right ! Saved me from doing dishes lol
Thankyou I had a pot handle down below the bottom rack. Your comment saved the day
There’s nothing in the way and I’m having this issue
@@aydinredsten2577 I'm having the same issue. Did you figure out what it was?
I have the same issue How do you Fix it
I had a best buy warranty on mine and they shipped out an updated drive assembly as there was a revision made due to all of the issues with the original design. Ill update when mine is done on Monday
My god I just drove myself insane for half an hour… it was a damn chopstick coming out of the compartment where you place utensils!
Damn chopstick got me, too.
I had the same problem, 3 beeps at the start of the cycle. It turned out it was the filter. You need to take it out and wash it. I hope it helps
That’s not an issue for my model and it’s doing the same thing.
Here to say : yes, something was blocking the bottom rotor! I had the same issue and was STRESSED because the last thing we need is a broken dishwasher. Funny enough, this issue is NOT stated in the owners manual 😒 FU Samsung. Anyways, just make sure there’s nothing blocking the waterfall at the bottom.
Mine is doing the same thing! So disappointed in Samsung. I ran a test on it and no errors. I have no idea what’s wrong with it!!
There is NOTHING in my dishwasher I'm trying to do a clean and it's doing this
@@kristyblevins951did you figure out what it was? Mine is doing the same thing
Samsung dishwashers have a waterwall motor that consistently fails, mine reads a 7e code. second time replacing mine. just a friendly tip, take a flashlight and open the door and make sure nothing is obstructing the waterwall arm as it moves back and forth and some dishes will hit the top spray arm. look for obstructions.
How do you get the error code? I have a DW80J7550US and can’t find on the net where to get the error code. I found it once. I think my waterfall isn’t working.
Beep beep beep
Mine is doing this too, anyone know how to fix it?
Motor assembly for the waterwall is failed and the deflector is not moving as a result. There is a video on RUclips on how to repair if you don't feel like paying over 100 for a cheap Chinese motor to replace it.
@@mattbasham3423 pls could you send the link to repair it ? 1st my dishwasher do 7e error code, i clean the filter n restart the cycle. But always same error code coming ... 7e. Next am do reset n am re start 1 short program (38 min). Then just after 1min of starting the prog, it start beeping. 5 times him do 3 beeps n program of washing stopped.
Make sure nothing is hanging out of the lower basket getting in the way of the waterwall arm. Mine was doing this same thing but after removing the lower basket it worked.
Thank you!! You were right I had a spoon hanging down. Now it’s running👩🏻🔧
it worked
I had a spoon hanging down also. It worked after I removed it. Thanks
This solved the problem for us. We emptied the dishwasher and there was something obstructing one of the arms. We reloaded properly and worked again
I am having the same problem! Will never buy a Samsung product again.
Ever figure this out? Mine is doing the same thing.
No. I ended up replacing this with a Bosch. It's a much better dishwasher.
It is the water wall looking to find its home starting position. There is a magnet under the bar. Push the water wall bar all the way back and try it again. It may take a few times.
Sweet potatoes Oh yeah This worked for me. Will see how long it lasts....looking for new dishwasher replacement now.
@@bstaz4914 i just did this and it seemed to help, then 7E popped up. I have the five year warranty on my dishwasher from BestBuy but ironically, when i first bought this, Samsung had to repair it as this code came up when we first installed it. Nothing blocked the tray or waterwall. We used it everyday since 2016 so...not too bad for a heavy use machine
Update...called a appliance repair company. They called Samsung in front of me and Samsung person said that The chimes and flashing lights are the Samsung code to replace the entire drive assembly. Motor, rail and nozzles and not the waterwall bar. Cost me 500 bucks. Was going to just throw it away because who spends 500 dollars to repair a 750 dollar 4 year old dishwasher... Had to repair it because you cant find a dishwasher in NJ due to covid and wasn’t going to wait until October to maybe have one.
These things are JUNK. Disappointed in my samsung washer, fridge, and dishwasher. The microwave and dryer are ok.
Totally agree !
BAHAHAHA I had a pan handle sticking out the bottom
And then I left the video playing and im staring at my dishwasher "hearing it beep" and going crazy again!!!
@@TheDanpirroMine is doing the same thing except it keeps trying to run then beeps like this...however after 10 mins the cycle starts no problem...no obstruction..happens every single time...not sure what the issue is but as long as it runs!!!
