    • @davsny5
      @davsny5 2 года назад +3

      @@mjohnson6703 I used to on occasion before I had to get rid of mine. It's pretty big to carry conceal and I'm 6'1.5" and weight about 180. I also, occasionally carried my Beretta 92FS inside my waistband and sometimes my 6-inch, 7-shot Taurus .357 magnum/.38 special and that was a fucking canon. I was most comfortable carrying either my Sig P229 E2 with either .40 S&W or my .357 Sig conversation barrel. My S&W M&P Shield 2.0 9mm with Crimson Trace red laser or Walther PPS M2 LE 9mm were ideal CCs on the ankle, waistband or pocket and that's what I recommend. Also, a few Blackhawk holsters are good to have because they fit multiple firearms from subcompact to full size and are inexpensive, more comfortable than paddle holsters and don't print much at all. I also, loved carrying my Beretta PX4 Storm .45 ACP, but the extractor broke so I had to 86 it. I recommend the S&W, Walther or Beretta storm subcompact or compact for ideal CC. I also, usually carried two handguns and a blade, always good to have a back-up weapon. Sadly, these are the crazy times we live in.

Yes, I did some modifications for example tungsten rod / spring, firing pin, talon grips, trijicon hard night sights, lone wolf 5.2 threaded barrel and lone wolf 6. 2 barrel which I had not one issue with after firing different types and grains of Underwood ammo which is the only ammo I use on all my weapons. Last year had a Romeo red dot installed and would not traded for any other handgun.

    I had posted a comment a few weeks ago, but I want to edit it. I received my Glock G20 yesterday and was able to go to the range today. To say that I felt like a kid on Christmas morning is an understatement. Went to Church (Praise the Lord), the gym and the indoor range. I am very impressed with the G20. To me the recoil felt like a .45, I was firing Remington 180 GR FMJ. Maybe I will feel a difference if I used 200 GR. FMJ, but based on what I shot today, the recoil was not bad at all and the pistol shot great. More practice is required, but I really like the Glock G20

    I have a G40 Gen4 MOS and a G29 Gen4 as far as 10mm goes. Both fantastic pistols for hunting and hiking. Either one can easily be swapped to 9×25 Dillon with a barrel change if that puts lead in your pencil. Great review as always. One minor correction is 10mm headspaces on the case mouth. 40 S&W will run in a 10mm, but it places stress on the extractor by making it actively retain the cartridge rather than passively hold the rim for extraction. It works in a pinch, but no bueno for continuous use.

    I would gladly purchase a _Gen 5_ Model 20 and/or Model 29 in either the Standard or Short Frame (SF) version.
    It would be our first 10mm acquisition. I almost squeezed the trigger on a Colt Delta Elite w/ Rail many years ago, but I could not justify the inclusion of yet another caliber. I was in the process of consolidating what I currently had in my inventory. Plus, we all know 10mm is not the most affordable ammo and I already had plenty of other mouths (chambers) to feed.
    If the Dan Wesson DWX ever makes its full debut, I would like to eventually see a 10mm version. Of course, I would still be happy with just the 9mm version if that is what it takes to get them into production! FWIW, Dan Wesson still has no release date for the DWX. Much to the chagrin of many in the 2A community including myself.
    As always, I appreciate the hard work and effort you put into this channel Don. Hope all is well with you and the family.
    Stay classy my friend.

    I have added a 5.5" ported Wolf barrel to my Gen 4 Glock 20 and added a steel guide rod with the recoil spring, both contribute to better recoil control. My avatar is 12 rounds, ie 6 double taps at 10 yards in 4.6 seconds and I have medium to small hands but a strong grip. I use Underwood ammo for their consistency and my rounds have over 780Ft Pounds of energy at the muzzel, very controllable. Additionally with the Wolf barrel I can safely and accurately shoot hard ball ammo, but I do use hard ball with a brass gas check as well and with 220 grains it has the energy to penetrate a Grizzly's skull, though I have Not tried that and Hopefully will not ever have to. I Love it.

    Great shooting review. This is a very nice gun besides its brand. Looks very cool for owb holsters because its big and easy to pull although heavy with loaded ammo. Much better than .40s&w and 9mm. A powerful gun because of big and fast bullet. Same size as my Glock 21 gen 4. This is my next thanksgiving toy, hopefully.

      You can cycle .40 cal through a 10mm but I don't recommend more than 100 rounds, as you have to hand cycle each round and it could put too much strain on the extractor with a different caliber cartridge damaging your extractor. So, I would say if you want to try that, use no more than 2-3 mags of FMJs.

    facts all content. I did my research 4 years ago. once ready, this was the very first pistol I owned. I wanted a piece that could do all. that was the budget. I've hunted and fired my fair share of, all my dad's arms and all his hunting brothers as I grew up in the '90s.glock20 I call mine Zen10 the peacemaker.in addition, at a cattle farm, Angus .#413 was gone too far with infection 600lbs. plus took one round in between the eyes. down no jumping used underwood 220-grain flat-nose. let me tell ya. if you can only buy one gun for everything this is your guy. if you cant hold this just don't get into shooting!

    A little history here. The GlOCK 20 was developed in 1989. In the Guns & Ammo January 1990, volume 34, number 1, page 32 “BREAKTHROUGH - GLOCK’S SUPER 10!” By Wiley Clapp. Like most periodicals the January issue arrived in December (1989). The GLOCK 20 did not go into full production until 1991. This was due to producing the GLOCK models 22 & 23 for LE agency orders. Such as SLED - the first LE agency to adopt the GLOCK 22.

    They’ve made a Gen 5 model 22 and 23 so I’m hoping they give the model 20 the Gen 5 treatment next. Honestly I think a single stack 10mm Glock, maybe with a magazine capacity of 9 or 10 rounds, would find a market.

    I have thought about getting a Model 40. I would even like a 41. I have waited to see if they are going to release them in Gen 5 as well, but from what I understand from my sources, there has been discussion, but no definitely plan from Glock to release the big cals in Gen 5 at this time, especially since a lot of LE agencies are going away from .45, now going back to.40 and 9mm.
