here's to part two of my colorado new years solo trip! i literally had the time of my life and i genuinely still feel the magic of denver on my spirit now that i'm back home in atlanta. i would 100% do this again and again and again. and yes, i'd even do it solo again without a doubt! this trip has shown me the importance of not allowing sadness or feelings of loneliness hold you back from experiencing the world that was quite literally made for you to see and explore.
i hope that while watching this, you are reminded that your current situation is SO minuscule to the grand, wide world waiting for you to simply say yes to. you get to change your mind whenever you want. you get to reimagine your life at any given moment. my time in denver has done that for me.
so now, what's next? will amani move to colorado? or, will she take it on back to the city of her dreams in NYC this 2024? who knows, but i will for sure be leaving atlanta. so excited for all that this year has in store because january alone has been so good to me!

This is why it is important to feel good! I remember one day I was watching some video or something that had me feeling like a million dollars! I felt GOODT Hunnie! I walked out my office and was told by 5 different people “you’re so beautiful!” or “I love your hair!” Etc… Everything dwells within! You are creating Sis! I love it! Follow your heart. Absolutely, positively enjoyed this vlog! You were radiating positive energy. My vacation time is way overdue and now I’m adding your experiences to my list!
You didn’t ask for input. Or at least I didn’t see any poll lol. So I kindly offer my invaluable 2 cents, as a Black single woman in my early 20s/30s I embraced every opportunity to travel and reside in different regions/cities of the country. The west coast, Denver in particular, provides an unrivaled launchpad or connector of sorts to so many must see places: Grand Canyon, Arizona, Northern Cali, Nevada, Albuquerque sights/sites … they’re a short drive or flight away from what your home base would be in Denver. After all you can always move back to NYC later. How are you going to know what you truly want out of life and find/realize your purpose without healthy exploration and not just visiting but through immersion. I’m so glad I did. And that’s how I ultimately was able to decide upon my “forever” home base in Charlotte NC. I emphasize home base bc I continue to enjoy exploration and now get to introduce my love for immersive travel and culture with my son … it’s the coolest progression. So go ahead and give Denver a real try and if it doesn’t fit then move on. You make the rules. As long as your motive is not to “run away from your problems” (bc you can’t outrun them) explore away.
