    I noticed you have two 36v lithiums. Only problem in my opinion in they are only 50ah each and you’re only running one at a time. Try wiring them in parallel. Keep the 36v but have double the reserve for your trolling motor

    • @TylersReelFishing
      @TylersReelFishing  2 года назад +1

      Pro Guide is using me to test a theory: Can I go a full day with my setup (3 electronics and an ultrex)? Our guess is no, for the trolling motor side (One 36v50 and one Ultrex). That’s why I have the spare I will charge on its own and switch leads to on the water if/when I need it.
      But one thing I did not say in the video, that I will in a future video, is that I am planning on running a brand new trolling motor here very soon that is considerably more power efficient, so that experiment will be re-done.
      If that experiment also fails, I will just run them parallel

    Hello blogger, did you say that the starter battery you configured for your fishing motor is dual use? Does this mean that the starter battery will continue to power your fishing motor after it starts, or are you only using it for power supply or startup here?

    • @TylersReelFishing
      @TylersReelFishing  Год назад

      My starting lithium battery allows the engine to start, and also runs all of my accessories and fishfinders. It can do both simultaneously.

    • @大大王-l4h
      @大大王-l4h Год назад

      It's really amazing. To my knowledge, although this type of battery has two functions, it does not perform a startup action while charging other accessories. People often worry about running out of battery power and not being able to return to shore. Does this mean that such batteries can be used as one of the reserve electricity sources on board ships? My bass boat may be able to stock up on this battery.@@TylersReelFishing

  • @rickvann3489
    @rickvann3489 Год назад

    Cons to your 12volt Lithium vs 36 volt Lithium battery statement even though you mentioned lead acid but let's keep it apples to apples.
    1. Very expensive 36 volt battery charger needed
    2. You get more out of 3 100 amp hour 12 then you do your 36 volt 50 amp hour
    3. I do believe Humminbird new trolling motor will be a 24 volt / 36 like the others allowing for a battery to fail and still use 2 batteries
    4. 36 volt does cost more over 3 12 volts
    5. I'll personally take a Mercury Pro XS over your Yamaha claim and that's going by years of experience and owning them since 1995 but Yamaha is no slouch they all have issues but SUZUKI is sneaking in there and I believe reliability of it is going to be superior especially the lower unit.

    Great looking boat. I'm just curious as to why you didn't push it through the chine walk to see the real top end numbers. It is scary to learn to drive a boat once it starts to chine walk, but that's when you are truly on the lhull pad, and the boat will ride like a dream.

    • @TylersReelFishing
      @TylersReelFishing  2 года назад +1

      Because from my previous 4 Skeeters, the chine happens AT the top end, unlike other brands like Phoenix or Triton. I don’t think my boat can physically get above the chine, so when it starts to walk I drive it a little, but driving dangerously would just be unsafe

    • @Snoop12922
      @Snoop12922 2 года назад

      @TylersReelFishing I definitely understand that and would never ask anyone to drive a boat unsafely or beyond their skill set. I am a Triton owner and mine chines between 62-67 mph but top end is 76 mph. My brother has a Bass Cat and his chine walks between 65-68 mph bet top end is 79-80. It was just a curiosity question. Keep the vids coming. See you on the water my friend.

    • @weilfast
      @weilfast 2 года назад

      There's no driving through chine, it just gets worse the faster you go. You need to keep it from happening, by giving a little steedy left steering input, jacking the engine higher, or running more weight in the port side. Sawing at the wheel is about the worst thing you can do.
      No hands???

    Gorgeous boat...gotta say I'm a little surprised at the speed. I was expecting closer to 80mph. I have a 1988 374v 18ft Ranger with a 150hp (Not a Bullet) fully rigged and geared out (minus power poles) and can hit 60mph with my current 23p 3 blade prop, 1 fat guy/full gear load/gas etc...and hit 64mph with a 27p 3 blade. Yes I do have the speed on video, on my channel in one of my videos, on GPS on my graph. So i'm not BS'n which is why I was expecting closer to 80mph with a 100hp more and a SHO engine. I understand bigger boats mean more weight but its 100hp more than mine and a SHO. Mine's just a plain 150hp, I'm just surprised is all that it's not going faster, I thought Skeeters had a fast hull, I watched Skeeters promo videos and they get me all pumped up with helicopters flyin next to them sayin their hitting 100+mph etc...so I'm sorry for the comment but it seems like you anticipated this in your video lmao. Super jealous of your boat though, maybe 1 day I'll be able to upgrade.

      Yep! Skeeter and I have a great relationship. I’m just responsible for selling the old one, and building the new one.

    I've been in a bass boat going around 80 miles per hour and it terrified me. I've never seen the appeal of going 70+ miles per hour in a boat that only sits 20 inches off of the water. You hit one wave wrong and you're going to stuff the bow and/or be ejected. You also sit so low in these boats you have to worry about a 600 pound motor and a spinning propeller being thrown in your lap if you hit submerged debris. Which is a big concern for me since i fish in a lake that is a flooded forest. These things are death traps. Going 30 miles per hour faster isn't worth risking your life over. 45 miles per hour, which is the top speed of the current boat I own, is plenty fast enough for me.
