I imagine this is how Martin Kemp must have felt when he won Sexiest Male at the 2002 British Soap Awards. An excellent build as always, I’m honoured to have contributed to such an wonderful series.
lmao
I think this is the best vanilla cs1 city on YT. Especially given the fact that you've continued to build in it after most other cs RUclipsrs have abandoned the game for cs2
Thank you ❤️😌
I think the company should be eggidas
Thinking more like eggigas. But it sounds like regigigas now
Adidae.. All day I dream about Egg(s) 🤔
How about Cougar for the company name? It could be a spin on Puma.
I like that, very relevant to Orchid Bay too. Maybe a deer chasing it on the logo?
I was thinking the same!
Their target market is recently divorced middle aged women... huge sales in both Karen & Sharon I'm sure 😂😂
Cuga
The Nike campus is actually in a town called Beaverton, so you should name the surrounding area Eggerton.
24:12 That's actually not a cougar, it's a puma. Getting away after a successful bit of industrial espionage
Rugby, association football, American football, Aussie football, etc. all evolved from medieval ball games which were called 'football' not because the games involved kicking the ball, but because they were played 'on foot' by the lower classes while the upper classes played ball games on horseback. the games had many variations - most places had their own set of rules, but early versions often involved passing, scrums, tackling, moving the ball from one point to another and kicking the ball between posts - descriptions tend to sound more like Rugby than association football or American football. The egg shaped ball was probably because they were often made from animals' internal organs , like an inflated pig or sheep bladder. Or so I have read 🤓
By the way, according to the company, Nike is pronounced as two syllables with a long e sound at the end like nai·kee - rhymes with "crikey"
I'm racking my brain for a good sports brand name, but can't seem to come up with anything better than Eggidas 😂
Reebok bok bok bocaaak! 🐔
maybe "Carnideer" to pay tribute to the famous carnivorous deer of Orchid Bay!
Either/both etymological explanation may be right. We don't know
@@Wico90YT what we do know is that all of the various English schools' sets of rules of the game were all called 'football' and many early sets of rules included carrying the ball, tackling, tossing and passing the ball, etc. The Cambridge rules which banned carrying became modern association football and the Rugby rules for football became more popular in America in the 1800s. The first American rules for football were written in 1876 and the game was primarily based on Rugby.
Bocaaak 💀🤣
Seeing as this company has a chicken for their logo, i think "Le Egg Sportif" is a better fit
I think the company should be called “Over Easy Sports”. Over easy eggs have runny yolks (so a bad pun). And it could be abbreviated as OE Sports
This is my favorite build in the series! It has a mix of everything, parking lots, sports fields, even a lake. I can't wait to copy this in my city! The details you add really take it a step further. I don't think it can get any better than this. We'll until the next episode comes out lol Keep up the amazing work!
Glad you're enjoying it so much 🥰❤️
What. A. Build. Absolutely stellar, Egg!
With that Y road shape outside the clothing factory, I can't help but think "Yolk Athletics" could be a good name for the facility.
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it 😁
I think the name should be Cougar Sportswear.
Slogan: ""Cougar Sports Wear - Never Fear The Carnivorous Deer!"
Promotion: 1% of shoe sales go toward the protection of the endangered Orchid Bay Cougar.
The team name for the Track and Field stadium should be the Orchid Bay Cougars.
Deerdan Sports Complex.
Simple and straightforward. Named after our famous carnivorous deer. This came to me when we saw the cougar runaway during the build.
I was thinking Carnideer - which came to me at the same time. but I also like Deerdan
That was great! And, oh BTW, that OB overhead at the very beginning - just wow!
You sloped a perfect way to get the path up to an overlook of the campus and surrounding hills. Thanks for the inspiration.
Glad it was helpful!
Regarding Nike's trails...4th hand knowledge is it is for the Employees and their visitors. So semi-public-ish. However apparel can only show Nike logos.
@18:56 OUCH! Egg goes long.... and scores! Can't fault you for something that is so blatantly true!
I think you should just run with your name as the brand. Overcharged Egg sounds very athletic and aggressive. And the logo would be OE. This has inspired me to build a sports university when I start my new city later today.
Just one suggestion though: Given this is a sports Brand's headquarters all these sports facilities are really there for research and development, so the running trail would most likely be used for testing out footwear, which means timed runs are essential. For that reason they can't cross over the roads because that interrupts the runner and affects their timing. Just food for though but yet again, another outstanding build.
Egg, your sped up zoom in and out on the carnivorous deer during the detailing Timelapse had me rolling! Another great episode, as usual. Thank you for providing us with such consistent quality content!
Haha no worries mate! Thanks for still supporting the CS1 stuff :)
Love this complex!
I can imagine the lore about the lake - it was a scientific university project to create a self-sustaining artificial lake, and they had to create special water outlets (a university paper that they used) that can stand being under water and then created the cycle of pumping water in and using the pumping station to pump water out (another university paper). :)
Lol Love the lore!
These builds get more and more creative. Keep up the good work OE!
Thanks bro ❤️
As an NFL fan, no offence taken 😅 You should name an American football stadium as the Hand Egg stadium, much more accurate description plus keeps in the theme 😜
I'm also an NFL fan, and while I'm also not offended, the 'hand egg' thing gets to me a bit because I have heard too many British and Americans argue that their version of the game is the only 'true' football and to me, that's just silly. Before the 1800s nearly every school in England had it's own set of rules but they were all called 'football'. Association football is mostly based on the Cambridge set of rules and the Rugby set of rules were quite different. American football is based on the rules of Rugby, but it's all 'football'!
A suggestion for the logo: Keep the Adidas stripes but wrap an egg-shaped border around it so the stripes can look a bit like that of an easter egg (|||)
Cheers mate! Very kind of you to say :)
It’s amazing what you come up with for each build!
Great idea and great build!!! Really do like how it all came together! Just lovely 🤩
Thanks so much! 😊
What an amazing idea to build that lake! Thats next level thinking right there OE. For the running track i think you should turn back the clocks and use the idea from Palaven Institute with the elevated cycle paths, would be a pretty cool esthetic for the eggidas campus(btw definitely best name) awesome build as always OE 🤙
I'd like to suggest a factory build. Haven't seen one of these in a while! 😂
Cheers, Egg. Always great stuff.
Haha thankfully they're all done now! Last vanilla factory build we'll see for a while lol
Love all the facilities but feels like it is missing a community pool.😊
Also glad you reoriented the baseball diamond!!😂
Good idea! 🙏 Thank you!
Yolkley (rhymes with Oakley Sunglasses), because the Oakley logo already looks kinda like an egg
that's pretty good
If it's not Eggidas, it has to be Reebegg, Shirley?
As someone who lives near the New Era headquarters, I can’t help but think of the name “New Egga” haha
I'm losing track of all the builds there are so many good ones, so this might have been done, but the nanotech building could be used for a Pentagon/GCHQ build?
Awesome video 😁
Thanks mate! I reckon the nano building will end up near our space industry!
Can't believe I'm still watching Orchid Bay even tho I've only been playing CS2 lol, this series is so entertaining. Company name could be Reebegg?
Thanks for still watching ☺️ good suggestion!
Yolks.
Just poach it.
Maybe?
Amazing work as always! You should add like a luxury waterfront with highrise residence or something
Brand Idea: "Eggshells --- Soles so soft you can walk on eggs" :D
Great video as always, and the area looks great! Superb inspiration to use those remaining factories in a build and it all blended really well together.
I have no idea how you would do it in vanilla or Skylines in general... but to fill some of this empty space how cool would it be to have a golf course. Seems like probably the only leisure facility Orchid Bay doesn't have. Long time watcher, first time commenter. Love your work Egg.
Thanks for commenting! I can try explore the idea of a vanilla golf course :)
I’ve always wondered if this could be pulled off in vanilla. If anyone can it’s our boy Egg
Would be a great way to incorporate some more water features. The challenge of them on smaller scales would be interesting
@@timothymichael7552 I'm from a village in Shropshire which has supposedly the highest (if not one of) the highest Golf Courses in England (Church Stretton golf club if you want to Google Earth it) on a range of hills called the Longmynd. I know Orchid Bay is a little more mountainous, but a golf course through all those valleys and mountains would be 🤌🏻
something i learned from CPP regarding vanilla artificial lakes: turn the water outlets off at the start, then you can place bushes/overgrowth at the bottom and the edges of the lakes while its still "dry". then, once youre done landscaping you turn the outlets on and let the lake fill up.
also in your case i would probably increase that spill barrier by 1 or 2 contour lines, as it seems right now that there still a 3-4 meter difference between the lake surface and the road, which also makes those piers you placed look more like skywalks than actual piers
love love love cities 1 content!
Glad to hear that :)
Love the video and improvements. As for names: O.C.E. (Orchid Competitive Ensembles) - District Name: E.G.S. (Eggstravagant Garment Sector).
Another great use of assets for a custom look. Always impressed by your builds!! How about Egg Face for the campus name. Inspired from North Face.
OEezzies. Like yeezies 😂
Lol
If you sink the water pump as low as you can, you can hide it with a road on top
The LOGO company is actually quite a good name
It always adds a great deal of realism to build out campuses like this rather than just plopping a factory and calling it a day. Eggidas just rolls the easiest as a brand name idea but I did also like Cougar as compensation since we did steal its den to build the campus. lol
Under Armor...but sneakers go on the outside so that would make them Over Armor....but we want egg related......hmm......Ova Armor?
Eggesse, Egg Balance, Eggulemon Athletica could all work as company names.
A swimming pool would be needed eventually if the company was going to get into swimwear.
Perhaps its The Runny Egg Complex aka runny egg sports
If you didn’t yet, you should make a space centre!
Its on the list :D
How about "Garments Garden" as a name? Represents the the type of campus and the extensive sports fields incorporated there.
This series so makes me want to go and try the game at like 90% vanilla once again.
Do it Chris
Reggbok, Yolkverse, Overcharged Athletics, Eggsy Armour
Overcharged Athletics is pretty good
@@JoJoShabbadoo I like that one too even if it’s not egg related. Eggsy Armour is my favorite though
If Eggidas is off the table I’m going to suggest Eggathlon after the high street store
Shots like 1:30 are the absolute greatest
CS1 reigns Supreme!👑
I agree. So happy Egg still plays CS1.
Historically, the Chinese were the first to cultivate orchids as medicinal plants, more than 4000 years ago. Gradually, records about orchids spread, reaching the Middle East and Europe. Around 300 B.C., Theophrastus named them for the first time orkhis. In 1737, Carl Linnaeus first used the word Orchidaceae to designate plants with similar features. The family name, Orchidaceae was fully established in 1789, by Antoine Laurent de Jussieu.
The Latin term would be Orchis.
The name of the company should be Orchis and the brand name should be Keikis (little one)
Hey- American football is called football because the ball looks like a foot. Also the original balls were made from animal feet if i remember right
eggcelent build and start of the day!
You mentioned the road that runs under the runway toward the top of the episode but didn’t opt to use it. Is there a way that could help alleviate some of the pressure of match day by providing another route out of the campus?
PS I’m so excited I can finally comment on an OB build because I just caught up today after devouring the series. You are top of the class!
Well, following a typical brand naming tactic as used in many cases, Adidas (founder: Adolf "Adi" Dassler) as well, comprised of first/last name shorts and maybe location, that would be in this case maybe like OVEGOR 😅
This campus may have some sort of amphitheatre to host events announcing new talent signed to the brand.
pure curiosity, is it pronounced Nike (like Mike) with the short 'e' as one syllable were you are? Here in the US (I'm one town away from the Nike campus actually) it's pronounced with two syllables Nikee (like Sandy) with a long e
I think the factory area should be called EggClogs. (inspired by eggnog)
I think you should add a swimming pool and a big shop that would sell the equipment that they make.
How about "Eggstreme Athletics" 😊
It's very funny, as an American who is constantly bombarded with Brand Awareness(tm), to hear you pronounce Nike "naik", not "naikee"
I guess its kind of a Tomato/Tom-arto situation!
Yolk - Just Egg It
All the sporting places were for Alberto Salazar to test out his, erm, questionable pharmaceuticals. 😉
I would say that the could be Egg Balance or Eggmain
I think Under Egg has a nice ring to it.
Eggthropologie? Eggspress? Orchid bay outfitters? Nikegg? Sorry I’m not good with puns and I’m no clotheshorse 😅
Or maybe just the generic ‘sports industry apparel’
No worries, thanks for trying lol!
What about Sunnyside Up Sportswear
Eggbro like Umbro?
what about elleggse coming from the brand ellesse
the brand could be eggucci
Athletic Eggparel, “PhysEgg “
You can build a hill station in the mountains
Can you do a water source instead of a water pump and set it's height to whatever you want so that it won't deplete or spill out 😯
Or maybe Eggma
Let's name the company after the person who suggested it
"Yoakley Sportswear" - as in "Oakley".
Best I could do, sorry. :(
I know it's not sports but how about Tommy Hillfegger?
lol
Yoke like Nike for the name?
how about Mountain Lion for the company name?
Brand name: Yolka
Runny Yolk
Eggy Yolkfiger instead of hilfiger
Call it Sikelines , Nike / skylines
EggCharge Sportswear Headquarters
Hitec > Hitegg 😂
Good ol Skyrim music
❤❤❤❤
Mizuno = OB-zuno
Addias = Eggidas
Nike = Nikegg
Add some canoes to the lake so it’s not just land sports. Also it would be hilarious to have 2 rival builds with one named cougar and the other named deer 😂😂
Predatory Deer Sports
Conversegg?
What about Eggbok?
Eggideer!
Did I miss a joke or does Egg not know how to pronounce Nike?
“Phys Egg”
