I had either an 88 or 89 American Standard in Grafitti Yellow with rosewood fingerboard. That year is awesome. Your guitar 🎸 is gorgeous. The burst is just beautiful. Unfortunately I sold mine to pay for a trip to China 🇨🇳. I was able to replace it with a satisfactory MIM Grafitti Yellow Strat with rosewood fingerboard. It’s close enough. I have other better American Strats but none of them are yellow 😕. My favorite Strat is an ST62 Fender MIJ. I play it more than any of my other guitars. The neck is made smaller for Japanese hands. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵⭐️
Lovely video brother ! That’s a lovely strat. I’ve got a 1989 American standard Tele , E9 serial number -3 Tone Sunburst with a rosewood board ! It’s the best guitar I own -superbly built , beautiful sound and such a breeze to play ! Great to find your channel and looking forward to see all your videos ! thanks !
I have the same guitar, 89 American Standard Sunburst but with rosewood neck. Bought it brand new in store. Great guitar, great feel, tone. I'd like to see if mine has the date on the neck but afraid to take it apart. Thanks for the video.
@@GrahamRonne yeah man tbh I hardly ever play it because it’s just so beautiful. I got mine used so pretty sure it was American made and sold. I use a partscaster and American special as my main guitars.
I made a Partscaster with an 89 American standard body and a 2014 American Chanel bound neck and I love that guitar. I don’t care about the resale value. It’s a keeper, and it’s 100% made with fender American made parts even the pickups and wiring, switch, cts pots etc.
As nice as those early Standards were, and I still have mine, the 2012 version is a few steps ahead. The Fat50's added versatility that the earlier models just can't touch. It's obvious to me that Fender really spent a lot more time finishing the fretwork and neck profile than they did earlier.
Cool video man and talk about this strat from the 80s. Question though, where do you get the super long Alan keys like that? I'd love to get my hands on longer ones
@@boechlerguitarsandrepair What? 3/16 inches? My Stratocaster E series has a 1/8 inch key. I live in a country where the metric system. I don't understand inches. Is it the same size?

Если это настоящий американский Фендер, тогда я испанский летчик. За этот звук, я бы больше 200$ не дал бы😢😢😢😢
