- Today, we have another exciting video from our trip to Oceanside, California at the Titleist TPI. Ian is once again switching roles as he gets fit for Titleist's brand new TSR Woods.
The new TSR fairway metals exemplify the newest advancements in metalwood technology and offer options for all golfers looking to gain an advantage off the tee and off the deck.
The TSR2 fairway features maximum forgiveness and the lowest CG of the TSR fairway metal line, resulting in fast speeds and a high ball flight.
The TSR2+ fairway is a new addition to the TS fairway family, designed to be a long, forgiving, and tee-biased 3 wood that does not sacrifice playability off the deck.
The TSR3 is for players seeking precision-tuned performance, featuring a lower, deeper CG and anew-and-improved 5-position SureFit Adjustable CG Track System.
Watch to see Ian's initial thoughts and experiences with these new clubs and how the new technology stacks up.

Ian, to see you so relaxed with Chris is a testament to how good a fitter he is. He has such a causal demeanor and delivery of information. You would probably be the hardest person to fit in the world, (like treating a doctor for illness), so to see such a smooth fit was awesome.
Chris is a great guy and a tremendous fitter, I really enjoyed my fit with him!!
@@ianfrasergolf he fitted me for my SM9's in March. Awesome guy! Learned so much from him. Heading back next month for my driver and fairway woods fitting.
Chris is the man. He fit me for my clubs a few months back!
Funny thing about the fitting. I swore I’d never go into a hybrid. I absolutely loved my 2 iron. He built me four or five 2 irons and then built some hybrids and I just couldn’t say no to the hybrid and now it’s without a doubt my favorite club in the bag. I also loved that he didn’t try and talk me out of the 2 iron. I feel like most fitters would tell me I’m an idiot and he just let the fitting and numbers speak for themselves but ultimately left it up to me.
I was probably hitting my driver the worst I’ve ever hit it the day he fit me. I mean it was a joke and embarassing. Somehow he managed to work with it and with the new driver Im blown away.
Chris is the real deal. If you read this, thanks dude I love my clubs.
Got fitted for TSR2 5 wood last week. Love this entire new lineup of Drivers and Fairways. Huge improvements with the TSR2 (looks, feel and performance). Welcome to Team Titleist Ian.
I agree Chico, I think this line may be the most impressive I have seen!!
this guy is smoother than silk. great fitter
The UB has really quickly become my absolute favorite fairway wood shaft. When you get around to it, I’d love to see that deep dive into the Graphite Design lineup you’ve talked a little bit about before, Ian!
One of your best fitting videos;.. wish I could afford that kind of fitting experience. Right now is the perfect time for me to do one.
Titleist fittings rock! Just been fitted for TSR2 driver! Gained 22 yards. Great vlog!
It really is ALL about the fitting you receive, isn’t it!?
As for me, I can’t beat my PXG Gen 5 driver with a Tensei orange shaft. And believe me, I’ve tried!
Thanks for another great video! 👍
Chris is an absolute unit!
I haven't played a 3wood for 7 years now. Always looking forward to new fwy woods thats easy to get it up in the air.
This was awesome. Great video. Titleist seems to just have more fitting options than anyone. Ian, would love to hear your thoughts after playing them for a while
One of my favorite videos yet, all the right nuances, bravo
Ian! Challenge: game all three TSRs for a good long run... would love course vlogs etc
just want to tip my hat to chris from titleist , to be tasked with a fitting with one of the greatest club fitters on the planet like ian , wow!!! great job!!
The 5wood at 7wood length is my personal goto 230 carry club - awesome video
I loved it!!
I always liked the look of the Titleist TSi fairway woods, and these TSR's look really solid. I have a Ping G425 3 wood that I really like and a Stealth+ 5 wood (set to 17 degrees) that I can throw in the bag when I need it but these TSR's have me wanting to give them a swing....
Awesome fit. High pressure on Chris trying to fit a fellow elite fitter like Ian. Hope we get to see Ian and Max on a course with these, both indoors and outdoors.
Also can’t wait to see what Mac’s window was 🤣
MIKEY IN THE INTRO BABY LFG
Love the whole TSR lineup. I tested TSR2+ and did not find it particularly easy to launch. To get it in the air I had to really squeeze it, which jacked up spin. The TSR3 13.5 performed better overall. But I'm still intrigued by the 2+ as just a second tee option.
That was a great fitting by the team at titleist.
Incredible place to be fit!!
Ian was looking 👀 straight up ⬆️
Ian, I'd love to see a TSR2+ vs Stealth Rocket 3 wood battle to the death!!
Great idea!!
Hopefully there will be on course videos with these coming soon. 👍
Ian, awesome video. But you gave up almost 15 yards with the 3wood when you went from 1k black vs the UB Shaft. the numbers were perfect spin 2950-3300 and launch. wondering why. you were spinning the ub at 4500ish. Wondering 🤔
Great video! How do you know what ‘windows’ you should be hitting?
That ub shaft is money! Surprised y’all having done testing/review video with it in the shop
I continue to play my TS2 4-wood at the D1 setting (15.75* loft) at 42.5” long as my only fairway “wood” (unless I have the 7-wood in my bag), because I have yet to find anything better for me. However, I may have to try all three of these TSR fairways, although I don’t think that the TSR2+ will be a good fit, because I’m no longer a customer for a 13* or 13.5* fairway club. I do like what Titleist has done here with the TSR fairway club lineup!
Brilliant video 👍
Can you do a break down of the fitting videos to to explain the the lingo and objectives that are trying to be achieved and why you are trying to achieve those objectives? Love the technical talk but just explain what and why it is being said during the process
What’s the next club now in the bag: old 4i or 5i?
I think I missed this video when it came out. Ian maybe next time you get fit by Chris ask for a box you can stand on 😂
I know right, too many tall people in the world!!
I carry a 5w and 7w and looked at TSi for both. Loved the simple all black look and they performed pretty well but felt incredibly dead off the face. It wasn't a confidence inspiring feel. Admittedly feel is as much about sound and the shaft has a massively influence but I couldn't get the feel I wanted with any of the Titleist stock shafts. Ended up with a G425 5w which is LOUD but apart from that feels better and gives me the distance I want and I have an Epic speed 7w which still is a bit dead feeling but far less than the Tsi2.
Difficult to tell from the video but the sound of the TSR seemed a little more lively than the TSi
Omg how tall is that guy
5’9”
@@AndrewPolidore 5ft 9” and a 1/2” 😂
@@ianfrasergolf ❤️❤️
I'd be interested to see what the guys behind Ian are thinking about Mac's fitting. Don't know how to fit that 60-yard slinging hook out there. lol
What happens after the 3? Tweak the iron lofts or go to 3 wedges? I’ve been thinking about a little bit stronger or hotter 4 iron as the next club from my T200 3 iron but I prefer to stay with 4 wedges.
Should your 3 wood shaft weigh less than the 5 wood?
Love the video and to see Ian sink into the customer role and not let his brain take over.
What are the odds these get in the bag or does Ian modify his current gamer fairway woods to match these numbers? Lmao
The Driver is definitely in the bag, really enjoying that. I haven’t had much of a chance to hit the fairway woods, I’m excited to test it further!!
Titleist just does things correctly
The big question is will you really put these in the bag and game them?
They are in the bag Mark, hoping to get some rounds with them soon!!
Could be a great time to buy a used TSi2 fairway wood
TSi2 fairway woods are fantastic!!
Why did they decide on tosser for their new name?
this comment may get lost...but does anyone know how Matt is? was watching some old vids. in not asking for him to come back or anything...just wanting to know (if TXG is still in touch) how is he?
Check him on YT and IG, Matt Blois
@@stollerino thank you
What about the gap now between 5i to 3i
Is Ian going with a full bag of Titleist ?
“I mean, we’re pretty excited about it.”….
Either Ian is really short or that guy from titleist is a monster. Lol
Bit of both!! 😉
i play my 3 wood with 3500 spin 13 launch i dont have a 5 wood so i actually want more spin on my 3 wood
Curious if you have a gap between your 5 iron and the T200 3/4 iron now?
It’s a 15 yard gap, but I’m very comfortable with it.
If Batman played golf he’d use TSR
I'm surprised he didn't try a 7 wood.
I’m not a 7wood guys I’m too shallow with my angle of attack and deliver too much dynamic loft.
Lots of mini drivers out there? There’s basically just one though lol
That’s a man mountain
I'm sure Ian will appreciate the compliment
@@SiLoMixMaster 😂😂😂, I’ve been called many things, a man mountain is not one of them!! 😂
@@ianfrasergolf 🤣🤣
@@ianfrasergolf he makes you look like one of snowwhites mates.
@@TheFoz1983 That’s fair. I’m somewhere between a normal sized human and one of snow whites mates!! 😂
Love how he tricked you with bending the 4 to same loft as 3🤣
