I thought about that but remember everyone is touching it at the beginning of the process not the end. So after every touch - you wash.

@@UniqueBeautie you will be in self isolation for 14 days.you will report to the ministry of health daily via an app about your health status. You have to get covid test certificate inorder to enter Kenya... the test is paid for by the passenger.
How do you wash your hands and then put your phone on a dirty surface and your phone is not sanitized. Mta okota hiyo korona. Taps should be hands free. Hizo basin, viatu, belts etc.
They should put every bucket aside and sanitize it before being used by another customer
My exact point. The officer not Touching his documents he touching own and previously used basins at screening, then proceedings self-checkin on TOUCH SCREEN beats the whole purpose of washing hands and sanitising. Just let us be, For heaven's sake!!!!
This is amazing KAA have really tried to do a good job to ensure safety for all passengers. I know JKIA we are good and much better by far than some of Airports in developed and well up countries.

There was no sanitization of the quick bins, everywhere Chamwada used them 😲😲😲

There is another video showing how they sanitize everything including the bins.

but ordinary masks have been identified to not be effective to prevent particles from flying out of your mask. That means masks are not enough to ensure safety. it should be both face masks N95 if possible and face shields.

Great process but it would be even better if they added bi-hourly sanitisation of commonly touched surfaces. All other processes are on point👌🏾

Great 👍 work Alex and the instructor. Kindly consider adding sanitation anti-microbial wipes for phones, keys, etc before the initial screening check point after or before washing of hands. Passengers may re-contaminate their 🤚🏽 with unsanitized phones and personal belongings before placing them on the trays and x-Ray machines. Good job 👏

JkIA was a nightmere before for international arrivals and deparures. I cant imagine how it will be post covid.
EKK Not many people will be traveling. The flight tickets are twice or more as expensive because they know there will not be enough passengers.
I hope they dont resume international flights from the US once internaltional flights resume. America is strugling to cointain COVID-19 they will bring the virus to Kenya and our hospitals are already at full capacity.

Passengers luggage can be vehicles of covid19 transmission, the probability of them been contaminated is high....how are you addressing this matter?
Good job by KAA. I wonder however, what happens when we have flight delays? The airport is sooo small as is, with limited spaces at boarding terminals. At times 4 flights boarding from 2 adjacent gates. I hope check in time will also increase to 3 hours for international flights otherwise pointless to arrive early and told to wait again for check in😒. Second point, there is zero air conditioning at passport control you can literally faint because no air circulation

Hello Chamada , JKIA should place antiseptic wipes next to the passport scanner machines. Those machines should be wiped after every passenger use.
Too good to be true, that is kenya story ya hongo ni amust, else we know where we will spending our 2wks vacation (quarantined) 😊how about touch lesser soap dispenser and taps for hands hygiene to lower disinfections

It's fairly good process to minimize infections not only covid but probably other surface transferable diseases. But the non automated hand washing at the beginning is not recommended, it contradicts the purpose. And they skipped the biometric at the passport control. Unless covid is treatable by UV Ray which can then be installed over the gadgets. There are also small escalator rail sanitizing gadgets(attached to rail belt) that continuously sanitize while cleaning dust/sweat and other contaminants all at once. However so far good job👍

No one knows how this disease is transmitted we are just trying to do whatever we think can help, avoid whatever you can avoid and sanitize your hands frequently and you will be alright
the washing hands part is going to be cahotic and for those rushing to catch a flight will most likely miss it, plus check in is brutal. plus is not practical as once he steps back into his car he will catch those particles again.

Wash your hands with a tap u need to keep pushing to have running water.. Not sanitary at all!
Um I think it is safer to sanitize ur hands before and after touching the things u put in the tray at the check-in security place but otherwise its a nice explanation

Good video we need to do in our terminal designs and even waiting areas, the people we are competing with in the airline industry have invested heavily in that area.
