Would it be correct to say that Transient transfection only really needs to deliver to the cytoplasm (in eukaryotes) since the gene molecules do not require transcription which happens in nucleus? Unless it's DNA (like plasmid DNA), but that would have to go inside the nucleus to be transcribed first.
