    Nice video. It would be awesome to give a shout out to Dick Brass, the guy who built 5MOH and all these trails in the San Rafael Trail system. He's a living legend. He's 80+ years old, a retired engineer, and still lives out of his truck camper for half of the year in the Utah desert, and builds trails. He built this trail to piss off the mountain bikers back in the day. We owe all of these to him.

    • @ridewithmike962
      @ridewithmike962 Год назад +6

      @@EverySingleSunday the guy is a total stud. He's actually from back East originally and also had a motorcycle shop during the KTM John Penton days. He came out west and literally just lives out of a super old truck camper in the desert. He used to ride an old XR200 when he built all the trails including 5MOH. He now has an old four wheeler because its too hard for him to get around on a bike. but he still builds trails. I linked a video below that a local program did on him a few years ago.

    I did this trail for the first time this year. The hardest part (apart from the sand from hell) is that it's relentless. I slept well that night. I got pretty lucky on the Crux and made it up on my third try. On the first try, I dove face-first into it. Amazing day. Will be heading back next year.

    Rode this trail for the first time ever last week. It was a fun and challenging trail, the fact it was 95 F and we just rode Moab for 5 days made it a little harder. Planning on doing it again when possible. It's a little harder to make it there when you have to drive for 18 hours.

    Did that trail with Dan one of the owners of RMMC and some of my buds who knew him. The Utah off road organization use to give Tee shirts for survivors of this trail. From here we went over the Chimney Rock and rode Devil's Racetrack and so on. Dan and the boys over at RMMC are great people. I shredded my rear tire over at Chimney Rock and he yanked a 18" tube our his pack as all I had was front tubes. Some of the best memories in my life. I try to support those guys whenever I can.
