There are some strong technical shit to get through, but what most people don't understand about enduro is how much it can suck the life out of you! Man handling a bike on tight lines and around rocks on steep slopes can be extremely aerobic. Well done !
Window Rock is fun but it’s getting whooped out pretty bad. The rocky sections are still fun and it’s a must do. Just be safe and bring the right people
As a pro I agree with the title, this trail is not for the faint of heart. I took a buddy who just purchased a husky 300 and thought he was an enduro champ like mr jarvis and we had to get him heli’d off the trail due to the severity. Proceed with caution and ride on 🤙🤙
Hopefully it all worked out okay in the end. These remote areas can sneak up on you fast and there’s nobody to help. How long did it take to get a hell out to the trail?

Over 100 miles did you say. How did you have enough gas for that ? Also that 500 did well enough but would be a beast to wrestle with on those trails. What does that thing weigh with a full tank anyway ?
I had a 3.2 gallon tank plus an extra bottle of fuel in my bag. Weight, probably around 250 or maybe 260 fully loaded with all the protection parts My 300 definitely would have been better down here but I was told Baja and thought we were doing longer faster trails this trip 😂

You mention that a 350 might have been better for that trail. What is it about 350s that helps with more difficult trails? If I recall, the weight difference between the 350s and 500s is just a few pounds. Honest question, I don't have a dual sport yet. Trying to decide between a 350 and 500.. Or maybe Beta 390...
I think I meant a 300 would be better. But that’s a 2 stroke. I’m not really a fan of the 350 personally as they lack bottom end. But lots of guys like them as the rotating mass is less so they feel lighter for flowing trails I like a 500 better if it’s a 4 stroke
Everything can fail. I know all my buddies with carb bikes spend a lot more time tweeking on them compared to what the injected bikes do. Electronics can fail, no argument there
@@Dat_Sun Dan, the TBI bikes are brand new still and not proven. They also have a very small output in the stator so no fan or headlights work with them. I love my TPI bike
@@EverySingleSunday I sold my 22 tpi and bought a tbi bike after after riding a 23 tbi, and tomorrow I pick up a 2nd tbi bike, tbi is that good. The difference is dramatic, the electronic power valve changes everything and there has been more than enough hours put on these bikes right here on RUclips to prove they are reliable. Don't hit the starter button while it's running until KTM updates the programming, other than that there is no issue with tbi. The stator situation is easily corrected, you could send it off for rewind or wait a few more months for a high output option to hit the market. The stock stator will run a headlight or fan, stay under 35, (25 constantly) watts for now. TBI makes tpi obsolete, the people that claim the soft fuel response of transfer port injection is good for the trails simply have not experienced ktm's 2t throttle body injection yet. It's not as soft hitting, but it's far more precise and controllable than the rubber band response from tpi. Speaking of proven, if you buy a 23 TPI bike you're likely to get the china quality kymco or whatever brand cylinder and piston that has been breaking apart at surprisingly low hours trashing the motor.
