The level of detail you pour into these videos is EXACTLY what's lacking in so many others. You're setting a coaching benchmark here Rich! Talk as long as you like; if we all practiced as much as we should/could Billy Bolt would be nervous!
Yes, good job ......these vids are compact powerhouses of great advice. Thank you! {You are obviously running your brain at a very focused level to deliver such rapid talks.....a focus also required on the trail}
I’m 52, new to dirt biking and so freaking happy I found your tutorials! Thank you so much for all the detail and excellent instructions!!! I got my bike 2 weeks ago and it’s icy and cold and I’ve been thinking to myself “I wish there was something I could do in my garage to get better” then I find this nugget of pure gold! Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏻 please keep making these tutorials to keep us safe and enjoying this awesome sport!
Dude! Your long winded tutorials are exactly what’s been missing from most others I’ve looked at. You explain so nicely what has to take place to accomplish the desired result. Please don’t change a thing! Thank you for your efforts, I hope it pays off for you too!
I’ve watched this dozens of times, currently have it playing while I’m in the garage practicing now. Just heard for the first time, move back and forth, not up and down. Game changer with the wheel lift. An Aha moment! Thanks Rich!
I can’t believe there are people saying that u talk too much. Very on point and ur words carry a lot of useful information Sending love from Eastern Europe!
YOu are not long winded at all. You are simply natuarally using the proper technique for teaching. Re-iterate the points, clearly demonstate the technique and give the reason for the technique. Do not change your style of teaching for those to impatient to listen. You ROCK. Love this channel, it inspires me!
Yup! 😆 People who dis practice drills cant do them & they’re missing out cuz the slow speed skills are great to possess. Thanks for your detailed explanation!
I'm big fan of garage training on enduro and trials bike. When I first dived into static balance with enduro bike I took most of air out from tires and added a pile of tires on both sides so I could lean on them with my front wheel when fully turned on either side - it was a good place to start and got me motivated cause I could lean instead of sit and dab. My first mission was to be able to swap from left to right .. then again slower. Also if you can reach the sealing while standing up put one finger on sealing for balance then try to take it off for a second .. two seconds .. .. one full song from the radio .. then take your phone and watch youtube while balancing.. repeat .. repeat .. repeat One intensive winter in garage can provide more skills than 15 years of easy trail riding..
I love how you keep it real and let people know they have to put in the time to improve instead of some "magic" tip that teaches you in 5 min on how to be a professional.
I really like these short tutorials. They are well constructed and being broken down to chunks, I find them doable (yet challenging in a good way) while out on a ride. Instead of my ride becoming just a boring training session.
always top videos !!! No offense to famous enduro guys videos and their videos and clinics, but you are light years ahead from them ! Wish you will come to Europe ASAP
man, i have zero issues with static balance on my mountain bike. Spent the past 40 minutes following the guidance and I can't get it to balance at all on my TX300. Amazing what CG and a weight difference will do. Gonna keep at it.
thank you for the "awareness" which is the truth behind achievements; practice....! no practice, no growth!!!! thank you for putting me in my place, and off I go to my garage and practice those essential drills to mastery of the enduro bike... my motto now is: shut up and practice...!
I don't have 30 minutes. I promise myself to spend at least 10 min.. After third day the results are impressing, my static balance it's way better now. I will keep pushing myself there's no other way. Hard work really works. Thanks Rich
My oldest daughter is always asking me about technique. I know exactly where to go every time and its the irc tire guy. We both love your in-depth explanations. She is transitioning to a 65sx and is learning the clutch. Your clutch control videos have been super helpful!
I do not think you rant too much I think your information is very useful and very helpful and another note I love watching you ride You are very skillful I am jealous I’ve been riding for forty years and I’m still terrible
Very very very nice video! 10/10. I do not think you talk to much. Heck I did not find an unessersary sentence. They all made sense and provided value. Keep doing what you are doing :-)
Thanks Rich, just what I needed. I'm 62 and never done this stuff before. I appreciate the before and after 'rant'. I won't be able to manage 30mins at a time, but it's really good to have a target to aim for.
Revisiting this after 5 months off due to a broken and dislocated ankle. I found that I was wishing for a nice and smooth concrete floor, opposed to my old, crumbly one that made the front tire stick and not allow small steering inputs. Was tough at first, but getting there. 👍
You only talk so much because you have the skill / ability & experience to do so, and it's the exact reason why we watch you dude 👊. Your videos are a massive help and it's because of the detail 👍
Adding pressure to the different pegs makes a huge difference I love this tip ❤ I’ve been practicing just changing pressure on the pegs whilst riding through straight sections of trail and I am always surprised by how much attitude it puts into the steering and direction of the bike
My wife and I started working on indoor static balance this weekend. I'm on my second night and am seeing big improvements! I put a short up on my channel and plan to do another in a few more sessions for comparison, hopefully including my Mrs on her little green machine as well. Thank you Rich for the inspiration to keep practicing, no matter what.
Hi Rich nice video - not long winded - giving good ideas to help us improve and be more sucessful. Don't forget to your dog at pat now and then LOL - doggie so excited when you grab your boots - make reggie's day and give a pat on the head everytime you put your boots on LOL 🙂
Rich is such an excellent and enthusiastic communicator. I have found that you can put a piece of carpet or rug under your tires and it helps with the static balance drill. This works similar to letting air out of the tires.
The level of detail you pour into these videos is EXACTLY what's lacking in so many others. You're setting a coaching benchmark here Rich! Talk as long as you like; if we all practiced as much as we should/could Billy Bolt would be nervous!
That means a lot! Thanks for the support!!

Couldn't agree more.
Plot twist. Billy is watching these 🥵
💯 Agreed…. I wish I watch them all like 7 years ago.
You do talk a lot but there's always value in what you say. You're an amazing teacher and I learn so much from these. Keep them up Rich!
I appreciate the support!

Slow drills help the most! Thanks for watching!
What tire pressure on cement do you think would be similar to trail conditions?
Best hard enduro instructional channel on RUclips, keep up the good work Rich. I’m 60 and am still learn/enjoying this stuff in part thanks to you.
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for the support!!

My favourite part is the dog watching 2:30 thinking “what the f*** is he doing “😂

Love the dog watching his technique. Okay it’s out the bag, the dog is his coach. He truly is this man’s best friend 😂

3:47 - he turns the bars to the left, the dog turns the head to the right. Perfect timing.
