      He was burning it and said hello to almost everyone he passed. The one's he didn't talk to were the ones either too far away or just not the time. GREAT ride!!

      IKR I kept trying to crane my neck and look up to the top of the screen constantly. I think he was more focused on the ride than the cam angle though.

    I can’t understand how he’s able to keep track of all the insanely big, sharp and gnarly rocks and also keep his balance and at the same time have a lookout for all the markers. I would get lost immediately, they’re just tiny white marks on the ground! Impossible to spot!

    If anyone says anything about his trail cutting they need a slap. With no riders in his way he would have shaved a couple minutes at least. Fastest I've run moh is 58 mins. And I was super proud of myself. Your a beast dude! Keep it up.

      The gnarly roots guys could definitely have gone faster. They were out cruising on the trail and put down a solid pace

    Wow, Moab terrain is so unforgiving and you made it look easy. I think if I tried that trail I’d need a new clutch, 2 rims, front rotor, front tire/tube and 3 ibuprofen. Really nice riding !

    Wow, Ryan Wells is an incredible rider! Incredible front end and clutch control. Love the fact that other than the Rekluse clutch, he’s running stock. Further proof that “it’s the rider, not the bike”. Not that that bike stock is too shabby... ;) Not running at race pace?!?! LMAO. He probably left 2 minutes out there - be fun to watch future riders chase down 36 minutes! Congrats on a great ride bro!

      Every Single Sunday That is probably THE perfect bike for 5MOH and that area. I ride a 2020 500 EXC down in SoCal. Typically more desert, along with ST mountains and woods - not as much rock as you ride up in Utah.

    Dude is fast and certainly has skills. Nice to be young and have all that stamina as well. Place is till on my bucket list, love to test my metal on 5MOH. I was in Moab (AKA MARS) several years ago and absolutely loved it, huge difference to the PNW trails of McNutt BC.

    Being kind and polite, and respecting other riders is how we keep these trails open. Turn this into a race track and it becomes a problem - It's what the "Stravasshole" did to mountain biking on mixed use trails.

    A Local guy Thomas Mann (out of Montrose, CO) I think that is where he is out off did it on his 40thB-day a number of years ago 5 times in like a couple hours if I recall. By 5 times I mean went out came back on it, went back out and repeat 5 times. So not sure 39 minutes in one direction is really a record, but nice video either way.

    Awesome job but because of the camera angle I couldn't watch the whole thing. Tilt that thing back.......however I know it's hard to gauge when you're alone. Ive done the same thing many times. Great ride congrats!

    This hurts my brains. I’m convinced that in order to go fast in gnarly terrain you just have to go and don’t think, just don’t worry and ride. The bikes gunna do what it wants to do. So just go with it. This man is out of thus world fast. Other legends would have trouble keeping up with him.

    I actually appreciate how much of the front tire this angle shows. So what is the best overall bike for FMOH for an expert rider and for an intermediate level rider?

      I'd take a 300 2T but some prefer a 4T bike. It's not super technical so you could argue it either way.
      For me, a 2020 KTM 300 xc-w would be my #1 v

      They only charged if the stuff is completely broken or cannot be repaired. Not worried about scratched or dinged up parts
      Needs to be replaced, they charge the cost on parts

      I had a blast on 5 MOH a well. But, we had a big group so our time was closer to 3 hours. We will have that posted in the next couple of weeks

      Beaches can be deadly. I’ve been taken off my bike twice now
      Luckily neither stabbed me too bad but they did leave scars

    Wow that GoPro angle gives headache! try showing a bit more of what comes in front of you instead of the ground. Or you can change the Gopro FOV settings to "Superview"...
    Other then that, Superb riding!

      Red mountains enduro .....The camera angle provides a detailed view of what the front wheel has to cop with. Other views don’t represent the true challenges of inclines etc. I enjoyed this video, excellent riding skills making a refreshing change from the norm.

      I run my setup much higher as well. But, this footage was given to us by Ryan to use. I didn't have anything to do with filming or setting it up.

    How important is a good suspension setup riding that stuff! Would rattle your arms off if you didn’t. That’s some Smooth riding in some hard shit for sure 👍🏻

      Suspension is stock on this bike. The XCW is really good for low speed Stuff (like this) but pretty terrible for fast sections

    As fast as these obstacles are coming at him it is pretty crazy to think that the average was 12 mph. (8 miles/40 min). The difficulty is deceiving. The camera angle adds to the deception a little.
