- Lyrics
Whatsoever I've feared has come to life
Whatsoever I've fought off became my life
Just when everyday seemed to greet me with a smile
Sunspots have faded and now I'm doing time
Now I'm doing time
'Cause I fell on black days
I fell on black days
Whomsoever I've cured, I've sickened now
And whomsoever I've cradled, I've put you down
I'm a search light soul they say
But I can't see it in the night
I'm only faking when I get it right
When I get it right
'Cause I fell on black days
I fell on black days
How would I know
That this could be my fate?
How would I know
That this could be my fate? Yeah
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
So what you wanted to see good
Has made you blind
And what you wanted to be yours
Has made it mine
Don't you lock up something
That you wanted to see fly
Hands are for shaking
No, not tying, no, not tying
I sure don't mind a change
I sure don't mind a change
Yeah, I sure don't mind, sure don't mind a change
I sure don't mind a change
'Cause I fell on black days
I fell on black days
How would I know
That this could be my fate?
How would I know
That this could be my fate?
How would I know
That this could be my fate?
How would I know
That this could be my fate?
I sure don't mind a change
Went to see Black Sabbath, came home a Soundgarden fan :)
I was there that day. The only time I ever got to see Chris live. RIP Chris Cornell
So lucky bro
Lucky
Cherish that memory brother
Prove it
My dad I was born 1989 to Diana Spencer and Chris cornell
This song sums up how I feel when I go through a depression episode...black days are the worst. Now I'm doing fine...RIP Chris Cornell mate.
One of the best rockers ever, RIP Chris Cornell. Your memory, music, and legacy will live on forever.
I can't believe this is live version. It' s sounds great, his voice was incredible
здесь всё incredible
That break at 3:30 and his voice reinitating, amazing, brutal and free
I knew this motjer fucker was sumthin special when he took my atention from metallica in the mid 90s...what a man what a voice what a band.....so many of my friends took there own life never thort my idol would....hope you found happiness. Rest in love bro
Played this song over and over and over when my best friend died, Sarah, aged 29, it wrapped me up in my grief, it understood me ❤
how did she die?
One of the last true rock stars and we are privileged to have witnessed his short time with us.
Searchlight so they say, but I can’t see it in the night. This song is with me in my black days
I thought it was “search my soul they say”, which makes more sense to me
@@JamieSaraiI'm a searchlight soul they say, but I can't see it in the night
what a sound. RIP Chris. i miss you.
I actually met chris cornell, he invited me to the studio when they were recording superunknown, awesome dude
when you realize that all the best in music is gone forever
not necessarily
Than how are you listening to it?
Just for a time. Before Cornell there was Prince and MJ. Then, there was Staley and Hoon. Before that was Hendrix and Joplin. Greatness doesn’t end, it just steps aside, making way for the next. peace
@@MW_Builds it's pretty crazy you comment this. Literally about a month or 2 ago I started venturing into music before my time, started listening to more and more mj, watching him perform, obviously we all know Billie Jean and thriller ect. But I started listening to all his stuff. A bit after I did the same with prince. About a week ago I been doing the same with Hendrix.
Eddie still alive and rocking his heart out
Such a beautiful sound 👌 superb voice ! Like Tom Jones - doesn’t seem to even try or break into a sweat 😓 notes just come out 👌
Completely agree 👌 they both have really great technique which is probably why they’re so relaxed
That's a very interesting but accurate comparison...
the best live version i've seen
Best singer ever
Hitting his notes are so awesome
So many beauties in one man! Miss him forever!
What an audience! Massive!!
2 years ago today, very sad RIP legend
Just…damn!
i can’t believe it’s been 5 years… RIP Chris 💔
What dreams may come
For whom so ever I father have forever became my love.
Like this song,old school 2000’s days❤️🙏
True Grit!! Righteous 🤘
Gyönyörű!
How Sabbath headlined when Soundgarden played I’ll never know
Sabbath, pioneers of a genre? I can't see them not headlining.
Sabbath is a way more influential band than soundgarden
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful Soundgarden ❤
This song and Like Suicide are 2 songs on Superunknown that should have gotten way more attention. Like Suicide is one of my all time favorite rock songs.
I’ve always been perplexed by how this song didn’t ERUPT live. Cornell’s voice… this song is equivalent to Kashmir: it’s HUGE.
Yet they never let it take off. Would probably undermine what the song is about. The other song that comes to mind within this realm is Blow Up The Outside World.
Incredible.
Better than studio version
4:05
I been playing that wrong for 25 years 😂. Sounds the same
Chris Cornell is a god and Soundgarden are the best band of all time. We are lucky to have had them around.
"I hate when people compare Chris Cornell to God, he's good and all but he's no Chris Cornell!" ;-)
Love this song, Love him, but can you imagine looking out this massive crowd, knowing they are wasted, can't hear anything, wondering why you are doing this? That's what I see from this video. No wonder these musicians are depressed. You have millions of dollars, and they search to find a purpose. Its fun in the beginning and becomes very fleeting I would imagine.
nobody has purpose
Brasillllllllllllllll
What a loss...
❤
que homem
If I could see one dead artist live one last time chris cornell is at the top
Nice One !
Só deus
rage against the machine
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Save the kids!
BRAZILLLLLLLLLLL
Missed........a great screamer.
Fuck yes my sons. My sons of war. Go now fight them all.
