@@adamropp4757this was the only copy of the film I’ve seen until the DVD came out… they basically cut most of the comedy out which, at this point in the franchise was the only thing saving it. As much as people hated part 3, Richard Pryor at least made it interesting in between the action.
I think die hard Superman nerds hate this movie but Brad and Gus should have become part of the Superman universe. I'd pay good money to see a Brad spinoff.
Quite funny how an extended scene can change your perspective of a character. In this case, Brad. In most versions of this movie Brad really comes across as a real a**hole and yeah he still is in this version now. Only difference is the “smallville flash” moment. When Gus (Pryor) tells him it’s a great name for a cocktail, there’s a massive look of disappointment and a shame of the head from Brad. There’s a bitterness in him. He wanted to go on to become a massive football star but life didn’t go his way. The smallville flash will not be the great football player he wanted, rather just a cocktail named after a functioning alcoholic. It’s rather a sad scene. I guess the producers didn’t want to humanise Brad and keep him as the a**hole. But I’d rather they left it like this.
@@SluffAdlin nothing annoys me more that these DVD cuts. Netflix too does exactly the same thing by cutting the original to fit a 2 hour slot. But thank you for uploading this! Brings back memories
Brad was such a jerk and Clark still remained a gentleman with him and at the same time didn’t let him walk all over him. I loved the ending when Brad told Clark how much he hated him because he was nice, LOL.
True, this scene is in the movie, but many airplays on TV trimmed it a little bit. They cut out the Smallville Flash part, Gus being startled by the mirror, and opening the janitor closet, along with a bit of his muttering before seeing the dual key notice. So, basically it cuts from Gus handing him the vodka boost immediately to Gus asking why he never passes out. Whereupon Brad blacks out, Gus grabs his keys, and it cuts to Gus walking into the computer room and sitting down. Then it immediately cuts to him noticing the two keys posting. So, at least with those versions, this is indeed an extended scene. It shows roughly 3-6 seconds that are often edited out. I think they’re good edits, myself. The excised scenes are just more Richard Pryor doing his schtick, which was about 75% of this movie. It made it about him first and Superman second.
Sluff adlin I recently commented on Wiifires old video about what happened to his allertronic and now it’s been *sold to Lampton Museum* Also I wanted to know what your updates are about your cousins videos! Did you find them??
Sadly they’ve been lost. I’ve long given up on searching for any info or videos about them. Sarnia, as far as I know doesn’t have a community, so most people who work for the city look at me like I’m a germ, or they think I’m talking about our current system. If you find anything, please let me know. I actually wish wiifires would have gotten a hold of FSThunderboltfan. He could totally restore that…. Those siren gave me ptsd
2 keys at the same time…. WHOOOAAA HOOAAAA
great scene!
At least, we now know where he got the phrase the "Philly Flash" from.
Good point! I never knew until now what Pryor meant when he said that.

From a security perspective, I would like to see this extended from the other side of the clip 🙂
HBO would air this version.
They didn’t even have the blu ray version of this extended cut. Heck, we already got the first 2 extended version of Superman.
That said scene should have been left in the 3rd Installment,Just Hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think this is the deleted scenes or extended version of Superman 3.
Scene funny! 🤣🤣😂😂😂😅😂😂
Pryor doing his "dumb white guy" voice. Nobody puts vodka in a Singapore Sling.
“There’s no vodka in it!!”
