Obviously there were LOADS of other amazing bands there too so who was your favourite from the weekend?
Heilung , slaughter , machine head , crystal lake , guilt trip the list just goes on
Sure don't mention Pantera..
Mine was COREY TAYLER mainly!but Queens of the stone ages was Sick aswell man!!
Code Orange 🍊
@@bradhawkins9605 Unbelievable right!
FOB and A7X were brilliant. Actually saw so many good acts this year. Overall I had a great time again this year. Shame about the mud but it's almost a requirement at Download 😂
Great interviews btw Rocksound.
Bambie Thug's and Polyphia's sets were surely bigger moments than the first UK appearance in 20 years of one of the most influential band in metal history
Limp Bizkit owned the thing
Fred Durst earned my respect after their performance, I wasn't a fan of him but I loved limp bizkits music, but after that show, he did everything he needed to do to make it amazing for everyone
Limp Bizkit ratted out some people at the front of Apex smoking weed casually says to the entire arena ‘is weed legal here now’ 😂
Sad times when someone says limp bizkit owned it 😂😂
Limp weren't that great tbh I was expecting better
I had to miss limp bizkit to see corey tayler but that was the best pick of the hole fest for me!!
Seriously Opus Stage > Main Stage . Best Live bands:
Friday: Funeral For A Friend
Saturday: Pantera
Sunday: Machine Head
I couldnt watch Pantera because Billy Talent, terrible clash really
Machine Head made the festival 🔥🔥🤘🤘
I was near the barricade for Bambie Thug, they were amazing! my dad was farther away getting a beer lol but he said he enjoyed them as well
Imagine not even MENTIONING Pantera in this video...
QOTSA were amazing!!!
People are moaning about the wrong things with this download, serious investigation needs ongoing into the food vendors this year, security have had every accusation leveled at them and the lack of preparation was awful, the weather was better than 2016, but the management was worse
Only went for Sunday and I thought the organisation was dreadful, can’t blame the security or stewards but they knew absolutely nothing about what was going on or where anything was. We got two stewards arguing with each other over a simple question.
What was up with the food vendors?
@@fuckshitupwith666 food poisoning cases and some people were charged twice after paying
Frank Carter with that little boy who was tired was so cool tho he’s a lovely guy
People on the Facebook page are still trying to hunt down the guy that stole his chain and apparently tried to steal people's phones whilst Babymetal were playing .. some people huh ! 🙃
@@whendavescry6783I personally think no one stole his chain I think it fell off when he was crowd surfing and is buried in the mud infront of apex
@@joshuacarroll6668 i really really hope that's the case 🤞🏻.. gosh they'd have a job getting that out of the mud, easier to dig up dinosaur bones 😅..
@@whendavescry6783grab a metal detector is all I can think of
@joshuacarroll6668 there's footage of him taking it from his neck mate
Three days is perfect. I do Welcome to Rockville every year, all four days and by day four it's exhausting. Love the three day lineups.
how the fuck do you forget to talk about pantera
because pantera aren't pantera without the brothers
@@tomgachagan1347it sounds better than 99% of anything else still lol
More like Yawntera
@@paddydemps2291 naw
Mate the energy in the pit/crowd for Pantera was something else. So long awaited. I was sceptical for what they would be like but even without dime and vinny, they was still Pantera.
4:17 the guy on the left was just thinking about why the interviewer looks like his twin
Underrated comment 🤣
'We're entering the sacred ground right now' - yup, that's how we feel!!
i saw so many bands i love but limp bizkit owned it
Anyone know where I can find highlights?
Sevenfold were great, just gutted they played so many from the newer albums, they needed to play a older mix imo because limp bizkit are gonna be the ones everyone speaks about for 2024 🤷♂️
Avenged sevenfold pantera Limp Bizkit the rest 😂 acdc rammstein iron maiden 2025 🤘🇬🇧
FORGET MAIDEN!! Last good set they did was 2013 everything after that has been a tired washout
@AcuteP4nda got to be better than OOTSA or Fall out Boy this year...🤘🇬🇧
acdc are terrible now, angus cant play and brians voice is gone
I would LOVE to see Rammstein 2025 good shout
Slaughter To Prevail
Bleed From Within
AlphaWolf
Blew the absolute roof off. To me, better than any of the main stage acts that were on by far.
Pantera were the best band in my opinion
Hell yeah This love was amazing
@@bryntaylor2336 They're just Pan without Dime and Vinnie
@@coltallica48Na disagree, was you there?
absolutely
there was a7x in the thumbnail, I clicked it
Code Orange ripped, mad as hell their set got cut short tho, Babymetal were cut short too, little Harper was definitely the standout
Boring ass headliners Opus stage was IT this year
Agreed opus and dogtooth best stages
Funny how it's 'cool' to like/listen/talk about these bands now. People are so fickle, it's sickening.
Music was amazing but staffing and management both were crap. Leaving people unable to get in or out of the arena at a festival that big is an absolute joke.
We were stuck in the car park for nearly 3 hours at the end. quite a few technical difficulties, and the toilet situation was abysmal. These are the festival basics and they failed massively on that part.
It’s been getting worse for a while getting stuck in the car park used to be a horror story , now it’s just standard download
Not one fucking mention of Panteras first UK show in 20yrs. Shameful
No one cares. Maybe they aren’t a fan? Did you think about that?
@@R-E1975 🤣 Fan or not, 10 Biggest moments of Download, thats one of them, this isnt an individual, its a "respected" media outlet and magazine, reporting on the 10 biggest moments at Download. One of the biggest and most respected, influential and popular metal bands of all time playing their first UK show in 20 years is a BIG MOMENT. lol sit the fuck down.
@@R-E1975 Lol stupid reply, think before you speak
Sum 41 and while she sleeps stole the weekend for me i saw laods of others aswell but there were hoth standouts
Avenged sevenfold where shocking really disappointed
The mere fact that Busted featured in the line up only proves what a yearly joke this festival is,every year without fail..Pop Punk Lite/Faux Punk/Metal Lite for teenagers...it`s a miracle if you can spot anyone over 18 at this yearly shite fest,i`m surprised The Darkness/Steel Panther or any of the other comedy/novelty acts didn`t show up.
Bambi Thug….what’s the point ffs??? This is what Download has become!!
🤍🔥⚡
Avenged Sevenfold were incredibly underwhelming. Their latest album is awful, and finishing on it was a bad decision in my opinion. I’ve never seen so many people leave half way through a headliner either. Didn’t hear a single positive comment from anyone on the way back to camp.
Avenged set was meh thank god they played a few old songs to just about save it.there newer few albums just dont anything for me and i guess a lot ofothwr people too.there just boring live there new stuff.and there production was crap imo the use of live ai wasnt great apart from nightmare.
Avenged sevenfold overrated
Matamu

Incredible lineup this year. INCREDIBLE. All the greats. Fallout Boy, Busted, Farming Incident, Slightly Angry Man, Thursday Detention, Bad Sandwich in Lagos, Kelp Nightmare. THE LIST GOES ON. Hopefully next years Radio 1 Big Weekend festival will be just as awesome as this one.
Headliners were pretty lame tbh - no effort in the theatrical stage. QOTSA were good but not exciting as stage presence/lights etc Sevenfold played new stuff and lost interest. Limp Biz OWNED this year! Not a fan of Fall Out Boy but apparently they had the best visuals and crowd interaction.
The (most of) workers were lame as f*** the amount of areas with no
Signs and one worker to the next couldn’t get anything right. The arena running out of drinks people getting food poisoning it was my first time and I enjoyed the bands (with ones I could see) the avalanche stage was a damn joke… the toilets were diabolical
Was crap
Tbh A7X were awful i was expecting so much more
Who was pissed with the secret set
Fallout boys set: as amazing as described in the video.
A7X's set: Looked like they got off of the plane and had lost their luggage, wearing their comfiest clothes, unable to see the stage past their low budget effects on the screens (not that there was anything to see on the stage anyway) and playing 6 songs from their most recent, luke warmly received album.
Queens of the stone age: they did what they do and what they do is good.
The problem with Fallout Boys set was that it was full of Fallout Boy songs
that's hilarious cuz a7x actually did have a lot of flight problems coming from italy and got there before their set. matt was talking abt how it was a clusterfuck w the airlines on discord 🤣
Talked shit about A7x but said Fall out boy was good 😂😂
A7x looked like they were just going through the motions. I left when I heard "this is our last song" expecting to miss an encore. Lol they were gone
@@CreepingDeath657 who expects an encore these days?
Why would Bizkit play Break Stuff twice? That song is overrated, they should focus on playing their deep cuts.
As someone that was deep in there, it was a good choice
Yea people were loving it Deffo was great choice
Yep. Only a comment someone who wasn't there would say
@@therealSH4RKMAN It's an overrated song. They have much better tracks that they never play. 🤷♂
@@LeadMe2TheBliss yeah, but that bounce
This festival is dead
If you are over 40 it might be.
Absolutely agree
Okay. 😂 even tho there was 75,000 people there 😂
Absolute bullshit. Did you even attend?
