Here is a head start for that next journey and thank you for showing all that care to pay attention that there is a beautiful world out there waiting to be experienced. I have around much of the world and you are right, the Oregon Coast is amongst the most beautiful there is to see. So much so that we are retiring from WA down to Southern Oregon in the next few years. Safe travels!
If there ever is any moments you wonder if making a video is worth it, know that you're inspiring. Took delivery of my first adventure bike last week and look forward to many miles and meeting of loke people. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I just completed this route for the first time motorcycling, on a GS, during a fall storm... Glimpses of amazing beauty, through the fog and rain, as 20' swells hit the rocks... infilled with the sheer terror of only seeing 40' ahead on the tarmac. Choose the dates for this ride wisely
My husband and I used to travel down from BC, Canada down the coastal highway all the way to Southern Oregon every year, camped in the yurts, and explored the dunes on ATV. I was most looking forward to this section as it brought back so many memories. The Oregon Coast IS the most beautiful to drive and ride down.
We know you had tough weather for much of this trip as the West Coast was hammered with precipitation which made tough riding for you but filled our depleted reservoirs to brimming up and down the state of CA. There are scores of us who would trade places with you but are self-limited by work demands so live vicariously through your adventures. Thanks for sharing.
Another great piece of moto photo journalism, thank you. As a fellow PNW rider, I was amazed by your aerial shots, so professional. I don't think your statement about the best part of the PCH is controversial at all, (1:45) it's just a fact. I moved a 1000 miles south, from PDX, for 4 years back in 2013 and most scenic drives in SoCal are not what you expect: too much traffic, too many people in a hurry, and too many hazards to truly enjoy the drive with Malibu being a shining example of disappointment. The route from SF north truly is where the gold is. I hope to ride the Oregon Coast and enjoy some moto-camping this Summer.
Watching this video, it fills me with so much joy. The amazing sceneries, the bike and the road, the relaxing music and the beautiful calmness that you are. It all gives such a relaxed vibe. Thank you. It's because of people like you and ItchyBoots that last year on my 54th birthday, i decided to lose weight and get my license. Soon it'll be my birthday again. I already dropped 33kgs, am having weekly motorcycle lessons and am eying that cb500x in the showroom 😅
Well Amanda it was so nice to meet ya last night and was a honor to carry your helmet for ya. Crashed the bike on the long route to chelan. Went over a 50ft embankment and went over the handlebars. No broken bones, bike is cosmetically damaged. But still ridable. Love how ya clowned dork in the road last night, all in good fun. Have a safe trip outta touratech tommorow. Glad to have met ya😀
Such a spectacular tour and beautiful scenery~ Thanks to you, without your guidance, I didn't know that the world is so beautiful and amazing in my life!
I've lived in Southern California my whole life. I rode south from the top of Oregon on PCH a couple summers ago. This spring, I drove southbound on PCH from the top of Washington State and can proudly say I've travelled the entire length of PCH. Without question, the best part of the route is the entire length of Oregon to the southern end of the Avenue of the Giants. Thanks for taking me along with you to relive the route.
Sorry your trip had to end so abruptly. You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs, and I especially enjoyed this latest adventure up the California coast. I have an old Honda Valkyrie and someday hope to go on a similar ride.
Big Thanks Amanda for sharing your adventures with us. Good on you, riding till the money's all gone. That's how I did it when I was younger, in the 1960s. I don't ride anymore, but I still do things that way. Cheers !
End Screen Crew: YES! I use to fly for a living and a few times a year would fly people from Scottsdale AZ to Coos Bay. One of my favorite trips and you just made me homesick for it. You also "almost" made me want to start cooking instead of popping the top on the Beefaroni. Lovely video, and perfect music. If I grow up I want to make videos just like you. I love when I find those campgrounds that are so me that I stay extra just to stay in the moment longer.
I’m convinced! The best part of the PCH is north of San Francisco!!! Oregon is BEAUTIFUL! While watching the video my wife said “Now we have to go to Oregon!”
Amanda, you make it look easy. Please keep sharing your videos. I love your little travel stories. I do hope you meet you one day and tell you how much I enjoy your video. See you down the road.
I’ve watched a lot of your videos and you go to some amazingly beautiful places. But the thing I’ve taken away from all of them isn’t the beauty of this country, it’s how kind and genuine your spirit seems to be. You are a joy to watch and listen to. Thanks for being a bit of sanity in a very screwed up world.
I've ridden my bike from S. Alabama to the Pacific North West twice. With out a dout if I moved somewhere else. The Oregon coast is it. Enjoyed the video and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE! If you are ever in Hoquiam, Washington stop at the 8th Street Ale House and order the FARMERS HAMBURGER. Best HAMBURGER I've ever eaten.
You are always welcome to stay for free at my house next time you wish to further explore the Olympic Peninsula, Washington. I'm in a beautiful rural area in the woods on acreage, just east of Port Angeles, WA. I've been following you on You Tube for several years. I really enjoy your videos.
That is my favorite part of the PCH as well. It’s amazing and very peaceful. I live in Seattle. Riding town to the redwoods and back is my favorite week long ride. So very fortunate to have this coast so close.
With a bit of encouragement from your videos, I bought a beautiful yamaha cruiser, strapped it down for bear and headed out on up the pacific coast highway starting at the Golden gate, up through Oregon, Washington, to Mt Rainier and rode the cascade mountain range all the way back down to California. Took me 3.5 weeks and 2,878 miles. Absolutely loved every moment! That was late 2020. Since then, I've moved to Oregon and settled into this beautiful state. I'm planning my next ride to Yellowstone soon. Thank you for the encouragement to get out and do the thing. It changed my life.❤️
Oregon is absolutely the best coast to ride on in the west and this comes from someone raised in the SF Bay Area. Living in Grants Pass, our favorite part of the Oregon coast is from Brookings to Bandon. Lunch in Bandon is awesome. Thanks for sharing your trip with everyone
Loved watching you on this segment! (We're the ones who met you a couple years ago at Oasis campground on the Deschutes River). Wonderful photography and editing music etc.during your S Oregon drive. We were surprised you didn't free camp at the Blue Heron Cheese Factory in Tillamook where we once stayed. Happy travels to you! Jennifer & John
Having family in Mendocino and Ukiah area, I'll definitely agree with you that north of the Golden Gate Bridge is the best area. There are so many hidden gem roads, dirt tracks, and other amazing sights to see. Easy to get lost for a week just poking around and camping where your moto takes you.
Only time I've been to the left...erm.. west coast, was year 2000 (pre TSA, also last time I've flown). Wasn't on a motorcycle but in a rental minivan with my folks. Drove out of SF across the GG bridge. We didn't cut to the coast until Willits and then out to Fort Bragg. There's a fantastic botanical gardens there and highly recommended. Pacific was very windy that time and waves were spectacular to watch and listen to crashing in. Drove north through the Avenue of the Giants and eventually Eureka. East bound to Redding and south a spell to an uncle's house. Haven't been to Oregon but the NorCal coast and landscape was fantastic.
I think I have like 3 - 5 subs that I give an automatic 👍🏽right at the start of the video because they always deserve it, and you're one of them. Thank you!
My favourite part of the PCH was always the northern section in California because of the big trees. That being said I haven’t had the chance to do the Oregon 101 and it’s now officially been added to my ‘roads I need to ride before I die’ list
Thank you for putting these beautiful videos up for everyone to see!! I saw the Oregon Coast for the first time in June of 1983 when I drove the PCH down to SF. Since then I have always said that the Oregon coast is the most beautiful place I have been in North America. It is even more stunning on a foggy day. I have been in all the lower 48 and most of the Canadian Provinces and I still say the Oregon Coast is the most beautiful place to go. A close 2nd, for me, is Glacier Nation Park, but you have to hike in a way to get away from the road and tourists.
Yet another great video . I just moved my daughter from Florida to Colorado last week . So now I will be spending time there and venturing further west.
Thanks for another great trip! It's always a little sad when an adventure has to come to an end--especially when it's a bit premature. Hopefully, you'll be able to get back to the rest of the Oregon and Washington soon, and go back to California to see the parts of Big Sur that you missed due to these unfortunately timed atmospheric rivers. I'm always looking forward to your next big trip. I've definitely had a full PCH trip on my bucket list for a while now. I recently completed the entire California portion last December, barely avoiding the closures. I don't recommend winter coastal travel through Northern California, because there was a noticeable amount of ice on the road when I went through the redwoods and back down to the coast. Also, it was freezing cold for a lot of it, and my wife couldn't really stay warm on her CB500X even with many layers. My heated gloves couldn't really keep up, but I'm sure I was more comfortable than she was. I barely went into Oregon, just to the sign for the Instagram photo, but I really want to travel again and complete Oregon and Washington once I can find the time. I also want to take a bit longer to enjoy sections of it, but it's two or three days to get to northern California from Arizona and so I'm probably going to be in a rush anyways.
That is some very beautiful scenery. I've traveled up and down the Pacific Coast Highway a few times, but never into Oregon and never on a motorcycle 🏍.
Don't have to convince me I live here and grew up going to Tillamook and Seaside and Newport and Lincoln City. I have been on 99% of the coast highway on my bike at one time or other. Need to do it again all the way from South to North and stop at all the lighthouses again. They are my favorite things on the coast
Looking forward to a future series of the PCH! Having experienced 101 from Rockaway Beach up to some section of Washington before making my way back to the main roads again for our hotel, it was a lovely drive and gorgeous to take in. Haystack Rock is a nice way to end the views.
Oh it so is. Flew to Portland and drove down to Coos Bay to visit a friend who had moved from WI. I knew it might be my only chance to see the PCH, and the whole way down all I could say was, man this would be a great motorcycle road. The whole time my travel mate who is terrified of driving in unfamiliar areas had a death grip on the armrest.
Born and raised in So Cal yet I completely agree, north of SF is the best riding roads. I'll be doing your route in reverse this summer, Portland to SF and back. Thanks for info on what to do.
Hello, in my last comment in one of your videos, I mentioned that I will be going on my 460 km long ride. That was my first. Your videos inspired me. Now I am waiting for more.
Hi Amanda, What a great way to finish your current journey. it reminded me of when I did the great ocean road in Australia. Looking forward to more of your video's in the future.
I'll have to let you know what I think the best part is in the fall. I have only ridden Arcata to Cresent City thru the Redwoods, so haven't seen any of the Oregon coastline. Looks a lot like parts of Newfoundland and Cape Breton. I know I will enjoy it.
Awesome! Funny that i just came back from taking my wife and kids up there a week ago. Never been to PNW before. Went to Astoria (had to see the Goonie house), Multnomah Falls, and even McMinnville to see the Spruce Goose. Very beautiful scenery up there but I still love Tucson desert even when it is 110° 😂
My partner and I have car camped almost all of the PCH between Forks, WA and Eureka, CA. It's beautiful between those 2 points. As a past resident of CA I can't imagine you could beat that chunk of the highway.
Thanks a bunch for great content. As always the editing was outstanding, And great choice of music. I've put the upper PCH on my buckrt list, as soon as the old bones heal . hopefully so. safe travels.
A better choice of traveling the coast is to go north to south. Most all the sights you would be stopping at are on the west side of the highway and being southbound makes it much easier to stop and enjoy them. Many folks will pass on stopping somewhere if it is hard to make a right turn with lots of oncoming traffic.
Moved from Socal to Seattle area in 2016. Rode my Diavel up with the only rule staying as close to the ocean as possible. Big Sur gets the reputation for some reason, but agreed, north of San Fran through Oregon to the Washington Coast is the most beautiful part of the whole country.
I just returned from the Oregon coast at the weekend, absolutely beautiful! Even better on my bike, wasn’t so keen once I got off the 30 to the i5 to Vancouver, great videos.
Thank you so much 🙏❤️
Both of us, Canadians and Americans, are blessed to live on the west coast. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦🤘🏻
It used to be better before a large segment of society to leave of reality.
If there ever is any moments you wonder if making a video is worth it, know that you're inspiring. Took delivery of my first adventure bike last week and look forward to many miles and meeting of loke people. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
That is awesome!
Amanda that was absolutely beautiful photojournalism…thank you so much for sharing.❤

I never tire of the rain fly run around, and you always have such a great smile at the end. Stay silly my friend

I was most looking forward to this section as it brought back so many memories. The Oregon Coast IS the most beautiful to drive and ride down.
Great ride of the coast ❤
Beautiful. That rain fly dance always makes me smile.

You are a master filmmaker. Your hard work and creativity have blossomed. Hope you're having fun!
Thanks so much!
The West Coast is the Best Coast!
And I kinda agree with you: the Oregon portion is truly amazing! I’ve done it three times now and it never gets old.
Word😁 See ya in a couple daze
Oregon is definitely the best part of the Pacific Coast Highway.
Really really enjoy Oregon. Bandon is one of my favorite spots
The west coast is one of my favorite places. Thank you for sharing your rides with us…😊
I've lived in Southern California my whole life. I rode south from the top of Oregon on PCH a couple summers ago. Have always loved watching the elephant seals around San Simeon. I would have to say everything north of Morro Bay is beautiful.
I'm from Minnesota and have gone to Oregon 20+ times over the last few decades as it is the best.
Sorry your trip had to end so abruptly. You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs, and I especially enjoyed this latest adventure up the California coast. I have an old Honda Valkyrie and someday hope to go on a similar ride.
I got out and did the thing! First time motocamping was a success. You inspire me!
That is awesome!
Yep. Convinced. Oregon is the best part of the PCH. Great photography, Amanda!
Big Thanks Amanda for sharing your adventures with us. Good on you, riding till the money's all gone.
That's how I did it when I was younger, in the 1960s. I don't ride anymore, but I still do things that way. Cheers !
Goonies never say die! 🤣 kept waiting for ol' One eyed Willy's pirate ship to sail by when you were filming
Your signature flying cape routine always cracks me up.
The part ridden is the best part of the PCH. Thanks, Amanda!

Great video thank you very well done as always. I may get there someday thanks again cheers to ya.
Oregon is for sure top for the PCH. Driven it many times from Canada via Washington on down and it never gets old. Thanks for sharing.

We were staying in Klamath, just south for Crescent City last week. It wasn't warm at night for us, but I'm sure warmer then when you did it!
I have rode my motorcycle a dozen times on the Oregon coast highway. Will never get bored along the coast. You have fun and stay safe.
100% North of San Francisco is THE best part and the OR coast is one of the most beautiful in the world. Another spectacular video!
Thanks for sharing wonderful adventure. We are lucky to live in a land filled with amazing places to explore.
One of my favourite parts of America when my wife and I rode two up around the world in 2018/19. It exceeded our expectations.
Great series Amanda, thank you for taking us along with you. Keep up the great work.
Loved watching you on this segment! (We're the ones who met you a couple years ago at Oasis campground on the Deschutes River). Wonderful photography and editing music etc.during your S Oregon drive. So beautiful Oregon Coast line.... Miss it. Thank you for sharing. Safe Driving
8:00 three cloves of garlic...for ONE serving. I applaud you!
What can I say lol I love garlic 🤣
Haven't even started the episode. The commercials are still going. AMANDA POSTED AGAIN! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥. Looking forward to seeing the group at RMR 2023.
The Oregon coast is breathtaking! Thanks for sharing.
I love food, too! Thanks for sharing your great day!
Absolutely the Oregon coast is the best part of the coast. Love your videos.

Awesome series. I am WAY over on the other side of the country but the PCH seems like just the sort of ride I could really enjoy. Perhaps one day...
Beautiful Coastal views! Love the rain fly dance! Excellent video! 😊
Thanks so much
I think I have like 3 - 5 subs that I give an automatic 👍🏽right at the start of the video because they always deserve it, and you're one of them. Thank you!

Fabulous Scenery Amanda, thank you for the great content, Safe Travels.
Love following along with your adventures. We just got back from 1400 miles in France, Germany and Belgium. You inspire me to get out and do it!
What a truly lovely record of your journey, all I want to do now is ride it! Thank you for sharing
If you don't mind, could you let me know about the hand guard wind protectors you are using on the Africa Twin. Thanks.
We are planning a long trip on the west coast and will now hit the PCH above San Francisco..
Yet another great video . I just moved my daughter from Florida to Colorado last week . So now I will be spending time there and venturing further west.
Sounds great!
Nothing better then the Oregon Coast...and Yes you are correct....from SF up is the best!
I also want to take a bit longer to enjoy sections of it, but it's two or three days to get to northern California from Arizona and so I'm probably going to be in a rush anyways.
Nothing really compares to the Oregon coast. We go back again, and again.
That is some very beautiful scenery. I've traveled up and down the Pacific Coast Highway a few times, but never into Oregon and never on a motorcycle 🏍.
Wow, holt moly! Thank you for sharing.

Oh it so is. Flew to Portland and drove down to Coos Bay to visit a friend who had moved from WI.
The patience of you loading up the bike is so calming
Awesomeness! I have to send you some of my Oregon pics, from my truck.
Thank you again for awesome videos! Amanda Zito 🌹 🌹
Glad you like them!
Agree with your assessment that the best part of PCH is north of SFO.
Hi Amanda, What a great way to finish your current journey. it reminded me of when I did the great ocean road in Australia. Looking forward to more of your video's in the future.
I agree❤️. The best part of 101 is northern most California and through Oregon
Thank you again...I really enjoyed this series...All the best from Canada!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent video as always, that coast line reminds me of the west coast of Scotland both absolutely stunning, all the best from 🇬🇧,
Wow! That looks beautiful. Definitely one of my dream trips
Another great video, the good days always make the journey worth the time.
I'll have to let you know what I think the best part is in the fall. I have only ridden Arcata to Cresent City thru the Redwoods, so haven't seen any of the Oregon coastline. Looks a lot like parts of Newfoundland and Cape Breton. I know I will enjoy it.
Thanks for bringing us the natural beauty of that part of the country. Very well done!
You are 1 amazing woman! Hats off to you for living the dream.

Great scenery! Super chill day. Glad I'm not the only one that gets bummed out when I have to deflate my sleeping pad in the morning! LoL
Moved from Socal to Seattle area in 2016. Rode my Diavel up with the only rule staying as close to the ocean as possible. Big Sur gets the reputation for some reason, but agreed, north of San Fran through Oregon to the Washington Coast is the most beautiful part of the whole country.
Beautiful coastline Amanda.
I hope to see it one day.
Oregon is for sure my favorite part of the PCH. Especially once you start to go south of Lincoln City
I just returned from the Oregon coast at the weekend, absolutely beautiful! Even better on my bike, wasn’t so keen once I got off the 30 to the i5 to Vancouver, great videos.
