You're not the only one who stops at cemeteries when on the road. They're quiet and usually empty, with nice places to let the dog run around. Yes, I've seen a cattle drive on the road. I don't know if it had a license.

An answer to Gary's question: YES, I have experienced a cattle drive in Southeastern AZ where I worked on a 14 section ranch (for the greenhorns, that's 640 acres per section) a number of times. And the most challenging Roundup was over along the Eastern Arizona / New Mexico border with a bunch of Mavericks on a ranch that was absolutely huge in the mountains only traversed by mules Saddleback. Rugged as hell, and livestock not wanting to see any signs of civilization!

@HondaMotorcycles *needs to* get you on (give, not loan!) the TransAlp before anyone else, and give your brother the Africa Twin, for all the publicity and exposure you give them. You inspire our latent wanderlust.
Your videos are so soothing and entertaining. The rain fly dance is almost a sacred tradition now.
    Be safe out there.

Fun series. Never seen an actual cattle drive, but down the street from me there was a Sheep herd blocking traffic as the funneled into a new section of ground. Yes this was in AZ. Love your videos but especially like the ones with Gary.

Glad to see Gary getting in on the rain fly dance 😂 your hat setup is genius! Last month when you shared a photo of it on instagram, I borrowed the idea on my last tour , doing a similar setup with a bungee net, rather than crushing it as I’d originally planned to, thanks for the inspiration 😁 here in Ireland cattle drives are a fairly regular occurrence!

I can't say I've ever been blocked by a cattle drive, but apparently I'm avoiding cool places like the ones you've been to!
I love riding with my wife but if my brother still rode I'd be all kinds of excited about moto road trips with him. He and I went camping last year, him in his truck and me on the bike, and it was great.
Looking forward to the next in the series!

Yes, I was caught in a cattle drive. I was riding in the northern part of the Black Hills when a cattle drive came down the road toward me and my motorcycle. I stood still and let the cows go around, as did other bikers, but one headed towards me and got called back by one of the cowboys. Then, all of the bikers had to swerve around the slippery cow patties that were pointlessly fertilizing the asphalt. 😊

I have witnessed a cattle drive, or a semblance of one. My wife and I were travelling from South Dakota to Montana and just inside Montana (don't remember where exactly), we were held up for about a half hour as the cows were ushered across the road. Love these types of videos, and as an Africa Twin rider, I love your bike!

I actually have been sidelined by a cattle drive; although, I was in my truck and not on my motorcycle. Peach Tree Road off Hwy 198 east of King City, California. There must of been 150 head of cattle and four riders herding them along. It took about 45 minutes for all of them to pass, but it was cool to watch. 👍🏻

I have seen and helped with cattle being moved between pastures by crossing or going down roads. But I have never seen what I would think of as a cattle drive. The distances of the moves I have witnessed were always less than a miles. And those doing the herding weren't on horseback. But it is still a neat site just to see the variation of how we all live our lifes. What work we do.
Commercial or commercial feeling campgrounds sometimes make nice multi day basecamps for exploring an area. It feels like it is less likely to have someone steal your stuff from the campsite when away from the campsite. Of course the fees that many of campgrounds charge feels like robbery.
