Dimash is ever-expanding his tools of expression. So there are dozens of songs I could suggest that would provide you a new "aha" experience. I highly recommend essentially all of the songs that he sang for this Singer competition against China's best professional singers. He was the youngest singer and the only non-Chinese singer, but this was what helped him to first achieve viral status. I love to watch these songs because they include audience reaction, reaction of the other professionals waiting in the green room to compete, and they include a super orchestra that Dimash, as a multi-instrumentalist himself, takes full advantage of. I'm sure that as he practices with the orchestra he is recommending orchestral changes that will allow him to implement different skills at different parts of the songs. The Show Must Go On, Ardagio, and Autumn Strong are three of my favorites, and Opera 2 is an audience favorite, I think, as is Daybreak, his first song in Mandarin. Beyond The Singer competition, I love Sinful Passion and Stranger for displaying some of his new techniques, and Olimpico for displaying his vocal range in more of an operatic style, albeit to open an international sports event. I am an American professor who has lived in Asia for most of the past 16 years and has followed Dimash's meteoric rise to global fame throughout.

He was born May 1994 in Kazakhstan, his father being a pop singer and his mother an opera singer. At the age of five, he accompanied his mother to opera practice, whereupon a voice teacher heard his voice and took him under his wings. Dimash is extensively educated in music and is rumoured to have / getting a PhD in Music ; furthermore, he plays several instruments. He is an incredibly talented and smart young man, having performed songs in twelve different languages. Those incredible high notes are almost inconceivable for a male singer. I'm a 73 year old American and Dimash is the best singer/performer I've ever heard or seen. I've been following his music since the start of the Pandemic. He is truly wonderful! He performed this song in 2017 at the very start of the Chinese four month TV show, "The Singer". He was the first non-Chinese to ever perform on this program...the next day he had to have bodyguards! By the way, the audience consists of about 500 Chinese music teachers and vocalist. They act as judges and vote after every round to determine the ranking of each performer or group. React to anything and everything he does...you can't go wrong!

You are technically correct stating that there have been foreign performers, but they were litterally decoration. This was the first contest Dimash lost in his entire life and it happened only because he wasn't allowed to win. The show has been altered since, because of the fallout. Also... if by all trades you mean all trades within the professional music industry, then, sure. You are correct to state the judge can be either a singer or a guitarist. You are not correct suggesting he can be a plumber. That's not how this show works.

There are so many songs to choose from with Dimash. One of my favorites is his version of Lara Fabian's "Adagio." It really surprised me that both artists can render superior versions of the song. I truly enjoy both versions.

This was early 2017 when Dimash appeared in the fifth season of Hunan Television's I Am a Singer (Chinese: 歌手2017), under the recommendation of director Hong Tao, and signed a contract with Black Gold Talent in Beijing. Dimash is ever-expanding his tools of expression. So there are dozens of songs I could suggest that would provide you a new "aha" experience. I highly recommend essentially all of the songs that he sang for this Singer competition against China's best professional singers. He was the youngest singer and the only non-Chinese singer, but this was what helped him to first achieve viral status. I love to watch these songs because they include audience reaction, reaction of the other professionals waiting in the green room to compete, and they include a super orchestra that Dimash, as a multi-instrumentalist himself, takes full advantage of. I'm sure that as he practices with the orchestra he is recommending orchestral changes that will allow him to implement different skills at different parts of the songs. The Show Must Go On, Ardagio, and Autumn Strong are three of my favorites, and Opera 2 is an audience favorite, I think, as is Daybreak, his first song in Mandarin. Beyond The Singer competition, I love Sinful Passion and Stranger for displaying some of his new techniques, and Olimpico for displaying his vocal range in more of an operatic style, albeit to open an international sports event. I am an American professor who has lived in Asia for most of the past 16 years and has followed Dimash's meteoric rise to global fame throughout.
My favourites are Olimpico (Igor Krutoy, the composer’s YT channel), Stranger & Ave Maria - Igor came out of semi-retirement especially to compose these songs for Dimash. Even he says that no- one else can sing Olimpico!

Just some info - Dimash is from Kazakhstan, has a 7.7+ octave range, sings in 14+ languages, sings all genres from Opera to pop & even raps! If you are unfamiliar with Dimash, prepare yourself to be amazed. Dimash possesses the most powerful voice on the planet. He was born May 1994 in Kazakhstan, his father being a pop singer and his mother an opera singer. At the age of five, he accompanied his mother to opera practice, whereupon a voice teacher heard his voice and took him under his wings. Dimash is extensively educated in music and is rumoured to have / getting a PhD in Music ; furthermore, he plays several instruments. He is an incredibly talented and smart young man, having performed songs in twelve different languages. Those incredible high notes are almost inconceivable for a male singer. Dimash is also a huge admirer of the late Michael Jackson, the king of pop.

I'm a 73 year old American and Dimash is the best singer/performer I've ever heard or seen. I've been following his music since the start of the Pandemic. He is truly wonderful! He performed this song in 2017 at the very start of the Chinese four month TV show, "The Singer". He was the first non-Chinese to ever perform on this program...the next day he had to have bodyguards! By the way, the audience consists of about 500 Chinese music teachers and vocalist. They act as judges and vote after every round to determine the ranking of each performer or group. React to anything and everything he does...you can't go wrong!
some corrections: Since Singer 2014 there have always been foreign guests. The 500 people who vote is a popular jury from all trades.
@@lila1957 The foreign guests were never allowed to be granted first prize. That's what caused quite a riot actually. You are technically correct stating that there have been foreign performers, but they were litterally decoration. This was the first contest Dimash lost in his entire life and it happened only because he wasn't allowed to win. The show has been altered since, because of the fallout.
Also... if by all trades you mean all trades within the professional music industry, then, sure. You are correct to state the judge can be either a singer or a guitarist. You are not correct suggesting he can be a plumber. That's not how this show works.

There are so many songs to choose from with Dimash. One of my favorites is his version of Lara Fabian's "Adagio." It really surprised me that both artists can render superior versions of the song. I truly enjoy both versions.

She has already released 5 studio albums and has 70 + videos on utube. Many reactors seem to think she has the most beautiful female voice on the planet.

Basically an instrument from the Bottom to the full voice high tenor and then A HEAD VOICE & FALSETTO with shrill control and right down the runs like it was nothing at all. Just a skill of enormous range and control !!!!

I’m so glad that you started your Dimash journey with this version of this song. This performance launched him to superstar status in China. Many people don’t realize that Dimash had a long and accomplished career in Kazhakistan prior to this. But some background on this performance.
This was early 2017 when Dimash appeared in the fifth season of Hunan Television's I Am a Singer (Chinese: 歌手2017), under the recommendation of director Hong Tao, and signed a contract with Black Gold Talent in Beijing. At 22, he was the youngest participant in the history of the show, and competed against professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a 'wildcard' competitor. Dimash's mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition.
He won Episodes 1, 2 and 6, with his performances of "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse", "Opera 2", and "Adagio". He made it to the finals, and finished as runner-up to Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam. It is rumored that the Chinese government would not allow a foreigner to win the competition.
Dimash is the most complete voice in the history of music. Right now you haven’t seen anything, this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you keep listening to him you’ll realize why he’s the best. I’m not just saying it, experts from around the world agree there is not and there was no other voice.
From an Italian man named Unico Unici, I leave you this reflection of what Dimash means in music:
I have known Bel Canto [the Italian-originated vocal style that prevailed throughout most of Europe during the 18th and early 19th centuries] since I was born. (Dimash was trained in Bel Canto for many years.). Let’s make one thing clear: Dimash is not only good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the sound field, Dimash is the totality. This is no longer about octaves (7 and 3 semitones known by now), whistle registers (as you have heard), or even more than simple, huge vocal technique, Dimash has an historically epic voice.
To be clear, his voice is like what is called in biology a stem cell. In this sense it is a “mother voice”. Any type of tissue can be generated from this cell. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, rock, pop, also rap, jazz, neoclassical, crossover etc…) Dimash already has, from the beginning, all the genres. In his case the musical genres are nothing more than a coloratura, an inflection, a decline of his general voice. The same applies, of course, to all your voice recordings. This also leads to the fact that he sings in several languages (15+). The different national languages are nothing more than subspecies of their general senority.
