Dimash's only serious rival for the title "greatest vocalist of our age" is Diana Ankudinova, who I presume you haven't heard of either.
Though extreme by normal standards, her range in live performance - from C3 to D6 - is much narrower than is the unprecedent extent of his. But although the timbre of his voice is pure and beautiful, the colours and, in particular, the extraordinary resonances of her voice are unmatched and unique.
(The resonance is so pronounced that she has appeared to many - and is often described as being - "polyphonic.")
The emotional, spiritual, and dramatic power of her performances, and with it her on-stage characterisation of a song's persona, is also unmatched. So too is her versatility. The masterpieces in her catalogue include examples from a vast range of genres and styles.
Still only 20, she is also more precocious than Dimash. By the time she was 15 she was already famous, having given several out of this world performances on Russian TV when she was 14 and twice been invited to perform on Russia's biggest stage (in the Kremlin Palace).
Even by the age of 13 she had performed in Russian, Ukrainian, English, French and Spanish, and she has since added German and Arabic to the languages in which she has sung live.
Just as you have started your exploration of Dimash's incredible catalogue with the first of the thirteen performances that he gave on the 2017 "Singer" contest in China, when he was 22, so too might you start with the first of the nine performance that Diana gave on the 2021 "ShowMaskGoOn" contest in Russia, when she was 18.
It is a cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love," where Diana transforms the so-called "dark" version of this song into an epic mythical tragedy the power of which would grace any opera stage. It left the judges - who included the renowned operatic tenor Yusif Evyazov, husband of the super-star soprano Anna Netrebko - stupefied and in awe.
The video of the performance, which includes the judges' incredulous discussion at the end, is posted on Diana's main channel. (A pirate video has also attracted tens of millions of views, but it is horribly clipped and should be avoided.)
Incredible though Dimash is, when taken overall Diana's nine performances in 2021 ShowMaskGoOn are less variable in quality and superior to his thirteen performances in 2017 "Singer."
Songs have been written for her by leading composers since she was 16, and in the past couple of years she has started to write and compose her own songs.
She has sung the soundtrack for, and been cast in, an award-winning film, and nothing could be more obvious from her performances on stage and in music videos that she is destined to become not only a legendary vocalist, but a legendary actress too.
Dimash reached D8, live in Gakku, with "Unforgettable Day", and also some note in the octave 2, in Stranger. Live too.
So, he has around six octaves of range.

Opera singers can appreciate Dimash even more than others. Welcome to the Dimash world. As you mentioned the Dive Dance, I recommend the version from his Bastau concert, not the performance from this show! However, Dimash does not sing the original version, but a slightly modified one. The original score does have unsingable parts such as octave or even ninth jumps within a coloratura. He sings it a semitone lower than the original, which is still immensely high for a man. Hello. You have just discovered Dimash through the song that began to make him known worldwide at the beginning of 2017, first during this show in China and then elsewhere in the world. This French song is one of the most difficult to sing. And the version of Dimash that you just listened to is not the best among all the ones he has done. Personally I prefer the 2018 version at Slaavic Bazar, others prefer (visually especially) the 2021 version at the Digital Show. As it was this song that made him known to many people, he sang it during these multiple concerts. In this regard, the shortest of these concerts lasts 2h30 and the longest more than 3h30.
And if you were impressed by what you heard, all of this represents no more than 10% of what he can do, and I'm not kidding.
As he is an artist not linked to major music labels, he can afford to really do what he wants and likes to do. He is able to mix several styles of music in a single song, whether it is pop, opera, rap, funky, folklore, rock and many others.
There would be many songs that you could see among the hundred and more songs that he has made since 2017 in more than 15 different languages, playing or not 8 instruments that he masters, dancing or not, playing in video clips which are masterpieces, of these songs that he wrote or that big names composed especially for him. 📌Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Koo-deye-bear-ghen)
Dimash Qudaibergen (Dinmukhammed Qanatuly Qudaibergen) was born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. He is 1.91 m (6.3 ft) tall.
Dimash is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, video director, screenwriter and entrepreneur who has received the title of Honored Music Artist of Kazakhstan and many other significant awards around the world.
Dimash Qudaibergen was very fortunate to be born into musical 'royalty'. Grandfather was a professional dombra player, grandmother was a teacher and sang. His mother Svetlana Aitbayeva has a classical education (not opera). His father, Kanat Aitbayev, is also a singer, songwriter and producer. His parents are known throughout the country and are “Honored Music Artists of Kazakhstan”. Both have been seen on the big stages and on television in Kazakhstan for many years.

According to Kazakh tradition, Dimash grew up with his grandparents. He calls them mom and dad and for a long time thought his parents were brother and sister-in-law. They all live together in one house.
Dimash said: "Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life."
Dimash wasn't a child prodigy, but he always wanted to be a musician and grew up surrounded by music. As a young boy (2 years old) he would often sit in the audience at his parents' performances and run onto the stage when they bowed at the end, and he did the same. While other children drew cars or princesses, Dimash drew a music studio and the instruments.

In his childhood, Dimash trained in taekwondo. He achieves his enormous lung capacity through targeted swimming and diving training, he dribbles very well with a football - ruclips.net/video/kt_lokOZLWw/видео.html and because his dears are important to him, he even takes additional dance lessons. Dimash's role models include Lara Fabian, Pavarotti, Igor Krutoy, Andrea Bocelli, Celin Dion, Queen and most importantly Michael Jackson.
He has been making music since he was 5 years old and has a perfect pitch. He has university degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music and jazz with a major in singing. Dimash also completed a musical master class on Broadway and has a master's degree with a concentration in composition. He completed his studies with honors. Dimash did not fit into the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was heavily criticized. Even his singing teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (interview with his first singing teacher - ruclips.net/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/видео.html ... but Dimash was undeterred.
As a child he performed at concerts and took part in various competitions. In 2012, Dimasch won the Grand Prix of Kazakh young singers “Schas Kanat” (“Young Wings”). In the same year he received first prize in the Ukrainian TV competition “Vostochnyi Bazaar” (Oriental Market), and a year later he won first place in the Kyrgyz international festival “Making Asia”. In 2015, Dimasch won the Grand Prize of the Belarusian music festival “Slavyansky Bazaar” (Slavic Market) - a milestone in the young singer's career.
The career jump to global megastar came in January 2017 after his participation in the Chinese singing competition “The Singer”.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of an engagement at the National Opera in Astana (capital of Kazakhstan) because he wanted to go his own way. He created his own genre: neo-classical combined with classical, folklore and other styles like pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We lay people say “Popera”. Dimash cannot be pigeonholed. 😃
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. His father founded the company "DimashAli" with a friend (his son's name is Ali).
In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone, not only in China. His first album was certified 1x platinum in 37 seconds, 3x platinum in 47 minutes and 5x platinum in one day.
He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today, Dimash is his country's "cultural ambassador" and a "national treasure" (no official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash says dancing is difficult for him. But he moves great on stage and his hands speak. He is a grandios and sensitive story teller. Dimash trains his voice 3 hours every day...but he says: "You don't have to know how hard I've worked, you just have to enjoy the results."
In professional circles, Dimash is considered a lyrical baritone with a typically wide range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano.
His current pitch range is G0 - D8 (outside the piano), 7,7 octaves! At least the Dimash shows us so far. 😃

Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities, from bass to coloratura soprano, are difficult to classify. They are not only limited to the enormous range of over seven octaves and the mixture of all musical genres, but it is also the incredible command of his voice and the ability to touch people emotionally and surprise them again and again. Such skills are very rare and can only be acquired, maintained and perfected through relentless and never-ending training.
Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink iced drinks and he doesn't like socks. He loves fire and water on stage, of course only as stage sets. 🤣
A dear once gave him knee pads, but Dimash says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃
Dimash is a very handsome, attractive man and is on the list of the most handsome men in the world. He is a popular model all over the world. The best designers in the world court him and are inspired by his music. He doesn't just wear her creations on stage.
Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He gives a lot of his time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does it quietly. We Dears only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it.
Dimash is a megastar. He has the largest active fan base in the world, over 10 million Dears in fan clubs in 142 countries, women and men aged 9 to 90 around the world. (documented)… and at least millions and millions Dears who are not organized in the fan clubs. (In an interview his Dears were estimated at two billion.)
Dimash calls us "Dears" because we are just as important and dear to him as his own family. The fan clubs are not like those of other artists. They don't just cheer for Dimash. They return Dimash's love and emulate him. They strive for good manners and help people who are not doing well or they are committed to the environment. The Dears do their part to make the world a better place. This connects Dimash and his dears around the world.

This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer).
The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to RUclips ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Dimash just had a duet with Placido Domingo. They were both a jury of Virtuoso talent show and the Maestro suggest to have a duet with him. He sings in 15 languages but only speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and a little chinese. His concert reportoire are sung in Kazakh, English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, French, spanish. This was 2017 and he was only 23 years old. This singing contest introduced him to the world. He is now about turn 30 and has done countless concerts and videos. 6-7 octave range, opera training, classic training from a very young age. Speaks several languages and has sung in about a dozen. So much more.

I'm a 60 year old man, 6'1" 320lbs and Dimash reduces me to a puddle of tears every time I watch him. I recommend "Sinful Passion" after you watch "Diva Dance". Oh you've barely scratched the surface of his capability. What I love most about him is not his vocal range (although I'm a sucker for his rich, deep, full low range) it's his genre defying catalogue. Just when you think you've heard everything, he'll switch genres with the next song or even combine two or three genres within one song.
Btw he's Kazakh, not Turkish and speaks 3 languages fairly fluently but has sung in at least 15 languages at the last count.
His recent duet with Placido Domingo was pretty epic too.
