when your doing flagolet, would you imagine your throat tilting as you go high up? or do you focus the sensation at the back of your throat?

I guess flageolet is the only vocal register that violates the rule of high larynx = bright vowels?
Flageolet is about as far down as the larynx can go. Stretching the vocal cords down
@@SterlingRJacksonI did flageolet with a high larynx for years. It featured the larynx tilting backwards so far that it seems to disappear into the neck. This technique is used in MTF transgender speech training, but I was doing it to sound younger and lighter. Longterm, that particular approach probably isn't very healthy for singing. I had no projection or the ability to talk loud for years. No falsetto range, either.
@@into.the.wood.chipper. you seem to still be getting this confused. Perhaps you weren’t and aren’t finding true flageolet. One can’t speak with flageolet. Once more, perhaps watch my full video on the topic. It’s a very small stretched sound. I’m mentioning it here as it’s a helpful catalyst to singing high and adjusting the voice correctly to do so.
@@SterlingRJacksonJust now seeing this. It's possible I wasn't doing flageolet correctly. My voice did improve in leaps and bounds in 2021, but I don't remember what I was doing to get there, because I was trying all kinds of things. Wish I'd seen this comment sooner. RUclips doesn't tell me when someone responds.
